If i ever get to Japan i´ll buy you a fika, in a place without mushroom spiders and people from certain places that treat you like a weird exotic animal. Respect, love and honesty, a good time, a human moment. Thanks for another adventure! Always enjoy these videos Eric! Keep on rocking, never give up the adventure, stand tall and do not let peoples bad, rude and dehumanizing behaviour get you down.

Last month we've been to Sounkyo as well. I highly recommend going during the winter time, as they have a really nice ice fall festival with beautiful illumination at night.
If you time it right you can go to the Sapporo snow festival and the Asahikawa winter festival as well, it's really something else and highly recommended!
We liked Asahikawa and Sounkyo best, but Sapporo was nice as well. Also, pack warm clothes and spikes for your boots as it gets really frigid and slippery :D

TIP - Put plastic bags over your feet then put you shoes on, result = dry feet. The wind from riding helps dry you shoes. I know this from experience riding in Japan. Convenience store bags are best. Happy riding Eric.

I vaguely remember on a tour of Yosemite our guide mentioned some tiny creature, I think the Pika, that raided his backpack before while camping. Too cute, I would have bought a stuffed toy version of it, too.

I remember the early videos when Eric got his flip-flop eaten by the escalator. I bet the Chinese are surprised when a random, crazy, tall American appears in the woods of Japan.

@@kydeanderic Ya I remember in 2000 how rude the Chinese tourists were in Yellowstone. I have also seen videos from people who have lived in China show how rude they are in their own country.

I agree that the "walk-away" shots (or their inverse) are annoying. I always think that the person has to not only come back to retrieve the camera, but then walk again the same path. There should be a drone function where you can set the drone down, have it focus on you walking away, and then be summoned to you, or conversely, sent ahead along your path, alight, and focus on your approach. When you were squeezing you little pica, our dog perked up her ears, but not when you played the recording in the visitor center. How is kyde's Tohoku tour going? I hope we get a report!

@@kydeandericI once wore trekking sandals like yours when i lived in Bournemouth on the jurassic dorset coast in this Ununited Kingdom of Hell and arseholes visiting down from London would cruelly laugh at me saying i was wearing Jesus sandals and i thought well f*ck them they keep my feet cool and happy that’s all that matters.

Man you talkin about the realism of the walk by shots, then go back and get them being lame. I'll do you one better. When people vlog and go to hotels, and their camera is in their hotel room but they walk in as though its their first time in there, they're all 'omg this is awesome, let me put my bag down and relax' - like you already been in there doin that...
