It's hard to ruin pizza.
What's the worst pizza you've ever had?

Chuck E Cheese. It was years ago, and I still remember it really did taste like cardboard with tomato sauce on top. Blech!
I ordered a pepperoni pizza once- what arrived was a Hawaiian pizza which is wrong on so many levels! So I dropped half of it in my dog Bella’s food bowl and binned the rest- after an hour I walked past her bowl and she’d eaten everything apart from the pineapple bits- not one piece of pineapple was munched- fussy eater or what?
Pizza made at school for Lunch. Sauce was bland, cheese was super greasy, and the Crust was hard and dry despite greasy cheese and sauce.
Went to a small town's only pizza shop. After ordering, the waiter asked if we wanted cheese, as they made cheese an optional ingredient as some people don't want it, but don't mention that on the menu
When I was 10 my parents ordered a Hawaiian Pizza from Domino's and it was the first time I had ever had it. I remember being struck with disappointment, shock and curiosity all at the same time. It smelled wonderful, but the utter idea of having cooked fruit on top of a pizza seemed like the worst pizza recipe idea ever. The sweet tartness of the pineapple mixed with the savory cheese, marinara sauce and ham didn't feel right to my taste buds. As an adult today, it's still not my favorite, but I have eaten a slice in a company pizza party random slice option just to prove I still hate it. lol
Ok had to pause to stop laughing because I just watched a video with Erice saying with a straight face "I had some of the crust with no cheese and no balls" hilarious LOL love you guys!!!!
I have been subscribed to you guys, but didn’t see any videos in my feed until now (1 year later). I can’t wait to go through the backlog of videos. Stay safe, and healthy. Thanks for making our lockdowns go by even quicker with your content.

thhhaaaaank you!
Domino usually has a 50% off coupon every now and then, especially if you order from the Domino JP English site, you just got to keep an eye out for it. Also there another coupon 10-50% off after checkout, so I would save those. In Kyoto there is a Pizza chain called Dia's Pizza that is owned by an American. A large pizza is about 999Yen(Pepperoni) and is pretty big. I always loved Dominos because you could follow the delivery driver to know exactly when the pizza is going to arrive.
Happiness Level: Rabbit Dropping Pizza
When they start prepare to eat it and the sirenes starts... nice timing!
Oh man that pizza is a bummer. Keep up the awesome videos! Been watching y’all since the beginning!
03:16 Eric's "Oh sh!t, are we having an earthquake?" face.
LOL, on first watch, I noticed Eric's sudden serious face and was like, "Damn, this dude is in serious deep pizza size conversion thought."
My thoughts exactly!
I was like "What's going on, doesn't he remember the number Kyde just told him? Is he thinking of looking up something else on the net as well?"
@@Offensive_Username The look when you discover your girl's Tinder profile on her phone.
I thought he was shocked and angry at the size in inches lol
I loved watching the interaction between you two and this odd pizza lol! My worst pizza experience was as a kid, I really loved mushrooms at the time so I got a mushroom and cheese pizza but the pizza was warm and the mushrooms were cold! Needless to say it took me a while to want mushrooms on pizza again, the cold wet texture on the hot cheesy pizza threw me for a loop.
I am so happy you guys are putting out videos through this. I've had your old videos on while I am working from home so I can explore vicariously. They've been really helpful.
Glad to give you a little place to escape here and there!
I haven’t watched yet. The “illegal” clickbait thing has grabbed my attention. Brb after watching
Maple Syrup -> -1
Tapioca -> -10

Worst pizza I ever had was one with a nice long hair baked into the cheese, so you couldn’t even try to tell yourself that maybe it was yours😂
gnarly
By Eric's rationale about selling off tapioca balls there should be beer pizza soon !
Or tapioca beer.
I hear you on the bubble tea craze. I had never heard of it prior to my first visit to Taiwan in 2015, and now, there are three bubble tea places within walking distance of my apartment in Denver, CO. As for the pizza, bubble-tea pizza was being sold in Taiwan during my last visit (Jan-Feb 2020--before everything shut down) but I couldn't bring myself to try it.
at 8:24 sounds pretty serious and K&E nope pizza time!
Pizza Napoleatano Cafe has 3 pizza options under ¥600. It’s right across from Shinjuku-Gyoenmae station. Google says permanately closed, but it’s just temporary.
Nice, will check it out next time we are on that side of the city.
I missed your food videos. Enjoy them a lot.
And Eric, I thought you'd be a huge fan of boba tea since you love having bits in your yogourt.
Hahaha, this was not the same.
I always think your video is gonna suck like other expat, hipster videos. But then they don't. Love them, as a guy who goes to Kauai a bunch, you guys found some really interesting things to do there.
Thanks! Glad we aren't making sucky hipster videos. Hahahhahaha
That pizza is sad range -5.
ummmm wasnt the maple syrup for the pancakes? lol
I get how you feel on the bubble tea thing. Even if we don't have as many places around my area that do it, they still started to charge a lot for it since it started getting trendier, which makes me sad cause it's really good.
i love the casual question in between: are we having an earthquake? rofl
I ate a really nice pizza in Enoshima some tima ago (not on the island, but part on the mainland just before the bridge that goes to island) in a local pasta & pizza restaurant. It tasted like a real Italian pizza (one of the best I've tried) and afterwards I got to know that the chef used to work in a restaurant in Italy. I didn't expect that kind of pizza - through my experience with Japanese way of preparing, they modify all the food to suit Japanese taste.
There is certainly some legit pizza in Japan to be found. Real Italian style pizza has gotten pretty popular in the city in the past few years, but it almost always is expensive. -E
bubble tea is here in arizona also. even the mexican donut shops
03:16 Eric: "Shit did we leave the stove on?.......what am I talking about we're home"
3:16 Eric immediately forgot what the fuck he was supposed to be doing. 3:35 good cover
I'm glad you two survived that. On the plus side you two are looking very professional.
I can't remember the worst pizza, but I will always remember the best! There was a small cafe at the end of the pier in Trieste Italy. The corner was filled with a big cabinet, it looked like a chest of drawers. The drawers were filled with balls of dough rising in the warmth from the large round wood burning oven that sat next to it. If you ordered a plain pizza, you got the bread with a bit of olive oil on it. You had to order cheese and sauce if you wanted it. I remember a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, with sauce and cheese be set down in front of me and just savoring every bite as I watched the guy make pizza after pizza for the American sailors that wanted a 'taste of home.' It was probably an 8-9 inch pizza like the ones you had, but I'll bet it tasted a whole lot better!
Yea, that sounds magic.
Holy cow that's expensive. Near Seattle, I can get domino's medium pizzas for 5 dollars each and if I get 2 pizzas, i can get other items for 5 bucks. Tapioca balls on pizza sound gross so I agree with what you guys are saying
It is hard to ruin pizza but there it is. But outside of that, I can't stop staring at Hamburger Helper.
Dominos tends to be the worst of the "chain" pizzas in the US now, not sure what happened as it didnt always used to be that way, theyve scaled back and everything seems kinda cheap.
To be honest, I was never really a fan to begin with. -E
Great video thanks for sharing I think pizza is quite expensive in the U.K. as well definitely not something we could have on a regular basis 😁🏴🇬🇧
Naples, Italy back in the 80's. It had peas on it. When you asked for your toppings, they would make it with each topping on a (one) slice so each slice had a different topping including cheese. it was really strange. We tried to get them to do it like American Pizza but they were not having it.
I have just viewed the Philippine series. Does Kyde still have symptoms related to the chikungunya fever?
Nope.
Your face when the door bell rang :')
Wife and I: order pizza from Domino's, follow the tracker in the app, pizza arrives, we sit down to watch the latest Kyde and Eric video
Kyde and Eric: same
Put some peanut butter and jelly on it. PBJ goes with everything!
The price of pizza is Japan never fails to shock me. That's straight up robbery.
We have the same progress in the construction of a pizza now in Canada. The app shows you a progress bar and once it is delivered it's complete. I don't order pizza much but it helps in my estimating when I should be ready. Don't need to put pants on until the bar says its in the car to my place heh heh.
There's a little Italian place in Asakusa that we went to that does a good pizza and anything else Italian. It's called フォカッチャ
Will check it out!
They should have soaked the tapioca spheres in maple syrup and boiled it in them. THEN, with a white cream base (salted) and cheese with maple bacon topping pizza, put on the tapioca at the very last minute.
I remember a long line in front of a tapioca tea pop up store next to L-Breath beside Shibuya station last fall.
I'm like you, Kyde, it has to make me gag for me to waste food, lol! The worst pizza I ever had wasn't bad because of the toppings, it was bad because it was mediocre as fuck, especially for the expensive price tag. And it got here cold because it took 2 hours to be delivered.
It’s funny because bad pizza is still somewhat edible. I would say the worst pizza I had recently was last year when i was in Monaco. Typically when you visit tourist areas, the restaurants that are in those specific areas aren’t good. I ended up at a crepe and pizza restaurant. The area it was in was beautiful, but the food unfortunately was not.
Domino’s. I gotten a regular pizza pepperoni mushroom and onions and a single order of hot wings and I believe it came to 40 bucks I was blown away myself about the price I think the high price actually made the pizza taste like crap. I was in a hotel after a long hot day outside and I decided to get Domino’s because my Hunger was bigger than my stomach so I ordered a pizza and wings and when it came to $40 I couldn’t get $40 out of my head. By the way did I tell you it was $40 I am serious.
hahaha, i feel you so hard.
Kyde’s brave for finishing that pizza. I’m that person if I’m hungry and get food and find out it’s gross or I don’t like it. I’ll toss it and get something I like. Just to feel like I won 😂
WHAT! I love how the description is "just naw" lol. I still think I'd try it just to say I had a slice of tapioca pizza!
We have Red rice and Yogurts drink shops replacing the bubble tea shops In Australia
Worst pizza I had was in Romanian town Bran. The place was called Antic Pizza. All I remember is that it had processed cheese on it. Not sure what else, but it just tasted absolutely terrible. Since we really wanted to eat pizza, we went to another place in the town later, they took us to their terrace balcony. It had a wonderful view of a backyard where an excavator come and begun excavating the earth and stuff. At least the pizza was ok.
I was in Tokyo in the late 80's went to a Pizza Hut and got a pizza with tuna fish and that was the worst for me. Luckily it was a pizza bar and only got the one slice of that.
Last summer at least, this place: goo.gl/maps/6qiVkzUcpuEKfaKm8 had a 1000Y lunch special that included a drink and a pizza and was pretty decent!
It's on my list!
Same problem in the UK (which you would know if you had ordered Dominos when you were here) the cost is immense!
Dominos isn't high on our list of places to order from when we are in a new country for a short time period, haha.
Awesome video, What was Illegal? Heard the sirens and all I could think of, hope it wasn't the Pizza Delivery guy. Also not sure if was Lighting, did Kyde have a black eye on her left eye? What kind of options for ingredients at Grocery store for making your own pizza's; i.e. Pepperoni, Black olives, sauces, and premade pizza dough? We have in Arizona a Wewalka Pizza dough 9x14 inch I put on parchment paper and hand stretch to 16x14 inch. I cooked one time just on oven rack and stretched that one to 14x24 1/2 with out and pizza pan and got they best crispness to crust. But I realise oven size in most of Japan can be issue on those. Have fun and stay safe you two.
she got in a fistfight with an old lady at the store, she got a black eye but you should see what she made of the old lady.
making pizza at home here isn't really ideal with the tiny kitchen and no oven hahaha.
I really want to try this a Swedish banana pizza that I hear a lot about
That is way more than 1 persons meal in USA. What an insult guys 🙄
Great video!
Nope, Nope Nope! In the States the best way to consume Boba is at TCBY frozen Yogurt! Any of their tropical flavors with strawberry boba!
You ordered a pizza a WEEK in advance? I’m not sure how to feel about that...
Worst pizza was a pizza where my friend just went over board with the American cheese and it was very cheesy overwhelming the sauce and doughy , So we had to keep cooking it,
There is a Dominos at our marina, only ever see kids frequenting it, kids are always a sucker for hype.
At € 10+ a time in the shop, adults buy a bigger and better quality in the supermarket at € 3 to €5 & cook it themselves.
Better still, a proper pizzeria. Remember your staple diet in Italy Kyde & Eric ?
Yea, Italy would be a problem for my waistline.
The bubble tea's bubble busted
Illegally bad pizza lol. Also when I order a pizza it lasts like 3 days, I'm not eating an entire pizza for dinner Eric :P lol. As for the worst pizza I've had it honestly wasn't that bad it just wasn't really good either, it was from some random local little pizza joint :/.
I rarely get Dominos, and I won't be rushing to try this tapioca pizza anytime soon!! haha
Haha, it was not good.
Here in America, that would be a small Pizza.
Dominos started doing the weird dry cheese no sauce thing to their low tier pizzas.
....but why hahah
Interesting, I would have thought it would be better. I had bubble tea once and it was fine but not something I needed to rush back for. I do like tapioca pudding though!
Looks like a bloody awful pizza and a nice Gwar shirt! Stay safe guys. Love the vids and all my travel plans are f**ked this year! It is what it is, ah well.......
worst pizza ive ever had.... hmm... YES I KNOW. Neapolitan Cheese Ball Pizza at a local restaurant. The mozarella ball had a piece of plastic wrapped around it, it looked unintentional like they forgot to put the cheese on the pizza before it goes into the oven. But that is the style of pizza so you have a raw piece of mozarella just slapped ontop of the pizza. Terrible. :) Another one, was stoned at a pizza hut in amsterdam and they served burned pizzas. Not sure if i was unwelcome or just paranoid from the weed hehehe :D
I would of called the police! Dominoes straight up murdering pizza.
u best as allways ! strange people gives tumbs down--strange
thanks
With the amount of earthquakes in nagano this week, I can't blame you for having that reaction.
I'd hate to think what a gourmet wood fired pizza would cost
It's not that much more than this, which is part of the problem with this. -E
You guys are funny Eric was like kyde you chose the bad tapioca pizza so you getting none of my tomato one 😁. Yes, i've had a bummer pizza too during Lockdown when i was very hungry so your not alone. Mine was a pizza with a garlic sour cream sauce base instead of a tomato one which was a really bad choice.....never Again 😭
Hhaa gross
BUT WHY!?!?
I saw this on the menu but wasn't enticed in the slightest. So, where are the 3 pizzas for ¥3,000 from?
ナポリの窯 is the place we recently found and enjoyed.
@@kydeanderic Great! Thank you.
I honestly didn't notice how expensive the pizza was the one time I bought delivery while in Japan. But of course small, like every other food portion. I don't think I've had a truly bad pizza, but i dont often get pizza so I guess I am lucky in that respect.
Not getting pizza often is not lucky! haha
8:51 haha
No sauce = no Pizza. Also, Kobaton!!
Not so happy pizza !! I expected you both to suggest grabbing some kind of sauce from your own stash !!!
We should have haha
It is supposed to be contactless delivery, where they sit it down in front of your door, ring bell, and walk away.
You might be able to request that, I dunno.
IKR. Why did it take so damn long for something that was popular 10 years ago in the rest of East asia to get recognized in JP? I can’t think of any reason. I do suspect there’s a little prejudice in Japan against Chinese culture that’s part of it. It’s knocked down a few levels compared to western culture. And ya I don’t like ordering from dominoes in JP. It’s overpriced like crazy and the cardboard flavor is coming in too strong. Better to eat out for pizza, for some awesome thin crust. Even at Saizeriya.
I once ordered a Dominoes pizza and ended up really embarrassed. Large pizza ordered and very hungry. Mouth watering in anticipation, I took delivery and opened up the box expecting a mouthwatering feast of meats, olives, anchovies, cheese all with a sumptuous tomato sauce. You can imagine my utter disappointment when I beheld a stark desert of treats. Nothing, I mean nothing but a bare pizza met my eyes? Where was my melange of Italian style goodness? Nothing just baked dough! Doh! I was straight on the phone. Where are my toppings? What the hell is this you've sent me? You kept me waiting and slavering for 45 minutes for this? The Dominoes guy was more than a little mystified stating that it was he who made the pizza, even adding extra olives after noting my hint at how much I loved olives. I assured him that there was nothing but a naked brown base staring up at me. Then it hit me all in one go, the embarrassment and the realisation that I had opened the box upside down and there was all the loveliness clinging on underneath. I put the phone down.
Hahahhahah
Happy range? To whom is this supposed to make someone happy? Both you and your wallet aren't happy 😂
Havent watched in a while, damn Eric has lost all his hair!
Nah, it's on his face.
It looks like the pizzas are heated from a frozen state, because it looks all squishy and soggy on the bottom.
Yea, haha, might be. They were a bummer. -E
Heya it's Aki the Japanese girl living in Scotland.
Domino's in Scotland is very expensive.
A large pizza costs about $20 on the menu but they often do a 2 for 1 deal.
Worst pizza I had was a Hawaiian that had ham and mangoes on it, not pineapple.
Did not like 😵😵
Best pizza by far is a haggis pizza 😁
I have a question and sorry if it's retreading old ground for you.
But do you speak Japanese and if so how well do you speak it?
Can you read kanji and kata/hiragana?
I lived in Japan until I was 22 and I struggle with remembering all my Kanji 😂😂
haha, my japanese is OK but not incredible. I actually read quite a bit better than I can speak, I enjoy kanji and it's easy to study on my own of course, practicing complex conversation is harder alone so it limits me.
I know what you mean about forgetting kanji if you don't use it. It's especially hard to remember 書き順 and stuff when you don't write often. Reading seems easier to remember. I think it's kinda the same with spelling in English though.
Haha I know exactly what you mean.
I used to hate typing essays and emails in kanji.
You know what you want to type but the computer autofills the wrong or incorrect context kanji and you have to go back and repeatedly delete it and retype it to try and trick it into writing the kanji you want 😠😠😠😠
You end up typing it syllable by syllable and calling it some choice words 😂😂😂
Haha, yea, i really don't like typing in Japanese either. Input on a smartphone is OK though if you use a kana swipe keyboard. It's the opposite with English, I had using a phone to type but it's fine on a PC.
My favorite part of Japanese on a PC is hearing how everyone slams the spacebar over and over scrolling through the kanji list. bam bam bam BAM! It's the sound of a Japanese office.
Haha me and my friends called that パチンコ because of the noise it made 😁😁
Tapioca is a typical food from Bahia, Brazil. that´s why it´s called tropical pizza.
The tropical pizza was a different pizza. This is branded as a tapioca pizza in Japan.
@@kydeanderic right, thanks for answer, i´m brazilian and speak just a little english kkkk.
Disney has been heavily doing the bubble thing in all of their drinks at least at Disney World for the last couple of years. My worst pizza is usually a Dominos pizza that has too little sauce. I stopped eating their pizza because it's so dry.
Ditto on the tea trend in Los Angeles
All that in the US would easily be around $30 if you included the tip that isn't required in japan.
You think? Even for that size? 9 inch pizzas?
pizza, food of the gods. except that one.
WoW, that's expensive pizza, but I guess because it's "exotic"...🤔
Worst pizza I've tried was called "Godfather": it was Kalamata olives, mushrooms, sundried tomato, anchovy, and onion... 🤮
My go to pizza is seasoned chicken, pepperoni, pineapple, and oregano (red sauce base)...
Savoury, sweet, and spice combo just works...
Pretty easy and cheap to make pizza at home! Try if you haven't :-)
We don't have an oven. Or room.
@@kydeanderic Bummer
Oh wow u call pizza a bumper!!
$30 AUD is the average price for a Dominos delivery order here in Aus but its for the value and the traditional or the permanent line cheap menu pizzas. Chicken, meat or prawn toppings and different crusts cost extra. Two 'large' pizzas, garlic bread and a 1.25lt soft drink is the average 'voucher' meal. Our pizzas are about 30cm but they used to be bigger. I like boba but not on a pizza, even though I used to LOVE the old all you can eat dine in Pizza Hut restaurants 'apple crumble' pizzas as a kid!
Btw, the best hack to cut a badly cut pizza is kitchen scissors!
I think I've seen special scissors for pizza!
@@kydeanderic Ah yes, the 2 in one scissor and server!
my god, what have they done...
For dominos, you can find on every Sunday and Wednesday recently a Line coupon which costs you 3000 Yens for three R size pizzas.
Good note!
kyde & eric Just found the site.
timeline.line.me/post/_dbTdvvAaiApALT3Zo_tvsMwC5mGBj_tMiWn1ZQs/1158726160204022646
Pizza sounded good for lunch but now....ehhhh
Wats up with the siren ?
That's a sign of how bad the pizza was.
Just an ambulance or something I think.
To signal the start of The Purge to help society find and eliminate whoever inflicted that pizza on humanity 😈
