What struck me is that the hitchhiking Hokkaido series was seven years ago! Damn, I have been watching your channel a long time because I was watching waaay before that. It is still awesome!
The sun setting so early in Japan is something that I find a bit frustrating, too. Back in the UK, the sun doesn't set till around 9pm-10pm during the summer months!
Lunchpack Ikebukuro shop went down during the corona times - only got one shop left in a train station in Akihabara now. I'm obsessed with Lunchpack...mostly cos I find it nostalgic and also they always come out with new flavours. ✨
Peanut-Fluff Lunchpaks are worth their weight in Gold. Last time I was in Japan we were talking about that shop but I could not find it in the station - might have been under a cover due to construction. I gotta go back to Hokkaido :-D Thanks for sharing!
New kanji for me too. Plugging it into the online Chinese/Japanese/Korean dictionary 砦 zhai in Chinese, 1 stockade, fort, military outpost, 2 brothel 🤔. Not so common Japanese kanji reads とりで。Oops, you then did a kanji lookup.
hey eric, it would be awesome if one day i made one of ur travel soundtracks - not sure if my music is ur jam though lol look me up -> hitori dake :) (without the smiley face, that was just for you :P)
I spent several minutes wondering what "tu ri mu ko su" meant... then you said it... god I would've never guessed "trim course". (Maybe that implies like a shortcut?) At least my baby-level Japanese is good enough to recognize signs like "hotel' or whatever if I ever got to visit the country...(Also "slide out of triangle town" sounds kinda wrong...)

I don't even want to actually look back to see when I started watching. I remember when they got married!
I started watching in 2014 😮

I’ve been watching since 2013 when they went to the Japanese mascot summit
I drove a little four wheel drive Mazda 2 in Hokkaido during winter, it stuck to the roads so well, even on ice and snow
oh wow, awesome
Another great video!
Again a nice video!
Really, really good Thank you so much!
Hi!!!! I’ve missed you guys!!!!😊
Thanks Kyde and Eric

Okay, that sign with the crying bird about to be eaten alive freaked me out. Wish I could unsee it!
Impressed with the kanji reading
You are actually playing Final Fantasy 16 boss. Good luck with Titan!
3:11 What the heck is that climbing the roof there?
🐑
The toilet in the intro reeled me in. 😂
"Triangle Town" sounds like a euphemism.

They'll eat the last one and say it's good for stamina.
I tried the peanut sandwich far to sweet for me 😅
