This one was the first song ever to be played live from this album. They did a small U.S/Canadian tour in 2011 and played this songs, The Change, What you Want and The Other Side, those were the songs we all got to know thanks to people recording them live, that was like 3 months prior to the album release so they quickly became fan favorites due to being the first tease of what the album had to offer. Evanescence selftitled album has a ton of songs that are single material... yet the label did the very best they could to screw the single releases and album sales... They had a terrible relationship with Amy by the time it was released, it came down to... it happend bc it was a compromise. They singed with her in 2000 for 3 records, the album was supposed to be out in 2010, Amy started writting the album in '08 '09.... She didn't let WindUp hear anything until she had about 12 songs, which the label trashed and hated, they said they won't put any money into recording that professionally and that she needed to go back to writte more stuff that sounded like Ev... Amy was pissed and that rage turned into creativity and songs like this one, Sick, What you want and New Way To Bleed were written about it. She did a full batch of songs with the band adding Troy to the mix and they made the 2011 record. The label had to be ok with whatever they made but they also were pissed about some songs themes for obvious reasons. The promo team they hired were a bunch of idiots or ill intentioned that screwed up all singles. First and second single were released in a span of 5 months, the release of the album happend in between this, and then lied and changed decisions at the last minute about the 3rd and 4th single, they ended up touring the whole year without a 3rd single due to manipulation and lies from the managment team and Amy sued them at the end of the touring cycle bc of their backfiring ideas, lack of compromise, unpayed royalties and more.... She won in 2014 and this is the reason why now they are free from labels and working best as an independent band.
Ah! So glad you're getting around to Ev3. Can't wait to hear The Change, my personal favorite and Lost in Paradise, which you'll definitely want to to check out the Amp Rock Tv acoustic version. Look forward to more!

The singles (with music videos) were My heart is broken and What you want, the song Made of stone featured in the movie underworld 3 or 4… not sure of the number, as end credit song. The self titled album was my favorite from their discography… although now I’m really loving the new one….the jury is out on the new favorite. Back to the Ev3 album, my favorite song from it is The Change, and if you react to it do studio x live acoustic in germany.

It’s good to remember to that in regards to the meanings of the songs some of them are at face value but most of them have double or even triple meanings, that’s what I love about evanescence. Amy used to give a more generic explanation of the songs but now as the years have passed she gets more real and authentic an in depth about the meetings and it’s so appreciated often we could see some of that color through the lyrics.

Yeah, some of Evanescence's best songs are not singles such as Weight of the World, Lacrymosa, Say You Will, Disappear, Broken Pieces Shine, and Far From Heaven to name a few. I guess they wanted to save some of their best songs for the people buying the album. I mean that makes sense. Why make the singles the only good songs right?
Too much toxicity from the NW fandom towards Evanescence, most evfans are also fan of NW but diehard NW fans hate Ev, and they always try to put em down for being a rock band and not a metal band, they love trashing Amy's technique even when Amy as a mezzo can hit the same notes Floor can, they hate she is capable of doing that without being clasically trained and I've seen them even bodyshaming her. So no, videos between Floor and Amy can't happend without a turmoil happening in the comment section, and it's not bc of the evfans usually the negative vibes and arrogance starts with NW fans.
