Hmm, allow me to shed some light on that opinion: Carly in the last 12 months: Had a baby, joined Cirque du Soleil, managed TWO businesses and has STILL managed to find time to write more music for We Are The Fallen. Amy in the last 12 months: Got tired of touring the new album and decided to take ANOTHER hiatus from the band.
However,my main point was that Amy Lee is the band right now(Before she was JUST the most important member).My second point was that Ben Moody picked a random singer just to show that he can make a new Evanescence without Amy,but he failed...What I said about Carly Smithson was just that she is not as good as Amy Lee and it would be better if she followed a softer carrer because her voice isn't strong enough for Rock(In American Idol for example the songs she sang were suiting her.)
Ben Moody wrote and still writes songs that touch deep into the soul. He has that little something that can’t be taught. All the songs written without Ben Moody are good but, they are chaotic and vanilla, You can really tell how much Ben Moody brought to evanescence. And i don’t think Ben Moody failed with the new band. The singer for “we are the fallen” is less operatic like Amy and more Lizzy Hale. Her voice is just as powerful as Amy’s. And of course the song writing and feel of the new band is the same, it’s basically the same people.
She is Evanescence at the moment...And since you have this picture,let me put it in another way..Even if it is harder,without Ben,THERE IS Evanescence.Without Amy,THERE IS NOT Evanescence...WATF was just a band that Ben formed in order to "show" that he was the most important EvMember.But,in the end,he picked a singer(pretty talented,but NOT for rock..nice in acoustic,but fail at lives)who looks like Amy and formed a band that is a fail copy,with only one "Fallen" song,Bury me alive
