- For those flying on an online netowrk wuch at VATSIM or IVAO, then this new feature is a fantastic new addition to the A32NX. This allows pilots and ATC to send messages to each other, reducing the need for radio communication, which is wonderful when the radios are congested. In this video, we'll look at how we set all this up from scratch and get a departure clearance from Air Traffic Control.

I love this! Especially since I’m an ATC (retired ZDC) CPDLC National Implementation Expert as we roll out CPDLC (KUSA) nationwide in the USA. We now have the most comprehensive CPDLC system in the world.
Nice. Was on VATSIM the other night and there were 29 departures trying to get out - clearances were not going out by PDC (not many) and it was a nightmare with people talking over one another. I do like it when I connect to VATSIM at an airport and they send me my PDC via text without having to ask. I always file my Simbrief plan before connecting - this helps in getting the PDC so quick. Just wish I could figure out the runways being used at my departure and arrival airports without having to connect to VATSIM first and check the ATIS, as the ones assigned by Simbrief aren't always correct.
Use something like VatSpy to check the Atis in advance (also on Volanta etc...)
Some atis informations also don’t include the active runways
I use simtoolkitpro with the wind calculator tool to check what runway to use
This is stunning. More and more like in the real world!
very helpful once again, thanks
Does this also include messages by atc when you are requested to contact them ?
No, because you wouldn't be connected to their facility if you weren't on their com frequency.
Thank You for all these videos! Som helpful!
Just the weather radar to fix now😁😁
And terrain radar 👍
@@Easyjetsimpilot any ideas when we might see them fixed?
@@stevepgaming1992 afraid not. The WX radar is down to Asobo.
Cool, but much easier to type a message in vpilot lol, or even talk 👍
I guess that would depend on the circumstances. As at small airport, probably. However, at a really busy airport, or at a VATSIM event for example, you can send off your departure clearance request (just enter gate number, ATIS info letter and the ATC identification code, and you're done (about 6-7 keystrokes). You can finish setting up your aircraft and be ready to push as your clearence comes through.
Can I chat with other pilots using the Hoppie server/CPDLC function in the FBW MCDU?
I don’t SEE depart req on the aoc menu. Am I doing something wrong?
hi i don,t have departure request shown in AOC menu. what i,m missing
Not sure where to ask this question, I am trying to get fbw a320 starting cold and dark at the gate, currently it starts with systems on and engines starting
check somewhere in your accesablity setings. Turn off assists maybe? I have all off except for failures cause i don't trust myself.
hi all, for me the spd remains at 100 without me being able to deactivate it and the autopilot does not start, can anyone help me?
flybywire only goses to 70 miles an hour at take off the it stops
Sounds like something isn't configured correctly.
p̷r̷o̷m̷o̷s̷m̷ ?
