i dont have any nostalgia for the game so tried it recently really liked the story and concept of the game but that gameplay and dungeons to me were very repetitive and boring wish it was different
Yeah I had a friend who only played the first half of the game and had said she beat it, got very confused when I mentioned something in the second half. If they don't play the second half, she'll be missing a huge chunk of story. Still, the first half is incredible and worth playing even if they miss the post-game. I hope they do the special episodes at least, they're so neat and a fun break from the main game story.
Even after all this years, I still remember the anxiety of being a fugitive, having to run unable to bring any of my team with me, and having to make do with whatever I can find on the ground through incredibly hostile territory. This game went HARD.
Seriously, they really went there. Even playing as an adult I was taken aback by the fugitive arc, it's definitely one of the darker story beats for a Pokemon game.
I remember legitimately crying over it. It was so unfair to me in that moment. I was like, but I saved half of you, why are you just believing what Gengar says?? I was heart broken and cried all the way up to Zapdos. I adjusted to the fugitive life after that, Zapdos was my favorite pokemon at that time lol
Having played all the PMD games, yeah EoS is def in nr 1.. though a shared 1st place is for me Gates to Infinity.. that story, man it made me tear up sooo badly!! so for me Eos and GtI are 1st place
Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX (the Switch mystery dungeon) does have friend areas but you can't walk through them, instead you just get a pokemon select screen, which a lot of people were actually pretty mad about.
I am one of those lol and why did they make the game sooo easy? Compared to the original one it gets pretty hard ( if you don’t over level and spam link moves lolol )
@RIFT_XD Pokemon has been getting easier in general and from a business sense it makes sense to stick with that easier level for pokemon because it is a kids franchise first and foremost. In addition mystery dungeon as a genre has struggled at the best of times in the west due to gameplay when compared to other more typical genres such as RPGs so in remaking Rescure Team Chun Soct and Pokemon took on some major risk of whether or not it would actually earn enough to be deemed as profitable and while it did earn profits I frankly don't know if they'll remake the rest of the mystery dungeon series yet both due to money and the lower popularity. I certainly hope so and I definitely don't like that it was easier either, but I can understand why it would be with the demographic targets that would be in mind.
@RIFT_XD Imo, it still had some tough spots, but I think the main easiness of it stems from 1) having more than two moves at the start, among other QoLs from Gates/Super, and 2) accessibility of the Makuhita Dojo. But I feel like even with the Dojo, I had trouble in a few spots (maybe a 3rd, lack of needing to try and get IQ skills). Maybe that was just me, though. I feel like a lot of difficulty when replaying Explorers, at least, was more due to some odd old game-aspects.
Not even joking, this is one of the better review/retelling I've ever come across. You don't speak down to your audience at all, and your gfs commentary legit made me cry at the end. You should be so proud of yourselves having made this. Bravo
There are IQ skills and mechanics available at the start of the game they can be checked without any IQ grinding. For one - Exclusive Move User is available at the start. Turning that on disables AI partners from using their basic attack and they’ll only use their moves. In your partner move menu, there are checks next to different moves. You can click on a move to turn them on and off. If you want Geodude to stop spamming mud sport, go in the menu and click a on mud sport to turn it off. This makes play throughs so much better
_Yes this_ , *Exclusive Move-User* is so important, I almost always have it on for my team members. I was thinking about this the whole time while they were complaining about Charmander not using their attack moves. The AI is dumb _by default_ sure, but you can basically make them work for most encounters by micro-managing the Tactics, IQ and Moves selection.
Considering I was never really a fan of pokemon and only recently emulated PMD Explorers of Sky on my phone, I don't think its nostalgia. The story was genuinely good, and the game was engaging enough to a fan of strategy games like XCOM.
What motivated you to play it to begin with if you aren’t a fan Maybe ur more of one than you think try giving the rest of the series a chance you will be surprised
@madnessarcade7447 I'd played the Pokemon Ranger series when I was little and didn't remember much of it. Other than that all I'd played was pokemon Y and I never got super into it. Plus its hard not to come into contact with a series that popular, a friend recommended this game to me lol
I know she doesn't usually play post-games of these, but if she plays Explorers of Sky I really hope you convince her to do so as in that game it's actually just the 2nd half of the story instead of extras. There are questions answered there, more adventures and moments to bond with the characters further, and if she feels up to it the extra special episodes are a neat addition to explore the npcs further. The first half stands amazingly well on its own of course, but there's so much more in the second half.
Ok YOU MUST PLAY THE NEXT Mystery dungeon game: EXPLORERS OF SKY. Why sky? The bonus episodes are so amazing. But honestly, explorers of sky built on the ideas this game made and creates what I consider one of the most impactful storylines of any game. Period. PLEEEEASE PLAY EXPLORERS OF SKY! If you loved this one, that game will truly bring so much joy. Anyway, mystery dungeon red and blue rescue team are such fun games and the story is really engaging. Although not playing the post game does take away a really important moment between gengar and gardevoir of all characters. Not to spoil anything but gengar and gardevoir meet and theres a really interesting story between them. 😉
In short: Sky is the Platinum of Darkness and Time. It polishes a lot of things, so there's no reason to play the first two versions. On the sidenote, there's a (vanilla) romhack called Explorer of Skies that further improves the game's balance and mechanics- even Chikorita is useable! The story is the same, it just adds QoL features. If you'll be emulating Sky, I highly recommend checking out Skies instead.
I played explorers of darkness so long ago, and man the story in that one was so good from what I remember; after watching this video I'm really thinking about giving explorers of sky a go since I never really got to play it
I can understand why they didn't bother to cover the Gengar/Gardevoir postgame events, even if they knew about it (you need to do some pretty obscure and slightly difficult things in postgame), but I also can't help but be sad since those events are pretty poignant and reveal a lot about those two characters. At least you can find the cutscenes on RUclips! Go search for it Nick/Tarny~ :D
"Some pokemon are unreasonably difficult to recruit..." Ah, the Kecleon, Mew, Jirachi, Celebi, Deoxys, any low level pokemon in 40+ floor marathon dungeons, anything in low floors of the Ancient Ruin and the postgame Wish Cave like dungeons! The pain! Edit: Hi Gengar side story!
@@DylVan-k8yKinda, I'm more talking about the pokemon where the dungeon sets you back to level and IQ 1. That and Kecleon requires friend bow, lv:100 and usually a supereffective knockout
@@salvatoredantonio2413 They're still one hell of a challenge. It's 99 floors, you're set back to lvl 5 lose all move levels and enhancements, lose all boosts except your rare quality and you cannot bring items or Poke into the dungeon with you. If we talking classic, no rare qualities as they didn't exist yet. Classic Mew also only spawns in floors 40-99 in 10 floor intervals except the last which is 9. He isn't a guaranteed spawn, requires the music box, is usually transformed like ditto, can and will kill itself on traps or status, can be a set spawn in a monster house meaning ya can't use a room clearing move or orb cuz the leader needs to beat Mew 1v1 face to face, inaccessible like on lava or water, can only spawn once per spawning floor if at all and has a low recruit rate. Recruiting pokemon in that dungeon is a special kinda hell even if ya ignore the mythical fights at the end. That and wish cave's usually gotta be done at least twice as after you can either recruit Jirachi or get a wish at the end of wish cave.
@@number3766 most of the time youll do wish cave a few times cause some pokemon are a pain, but wish cave is relatively easy to do in comparison to purity forest
i recently played through pmd explorers of sky while i made my boyfriend play it for the first time, and i can definitely say despite all my nostalgia, it 100% holds up. there are a few mechanics that are a little clunky or time consuming, but i love that it's a pokemon game with real challenge and a BEAUTIFUL story. maybe you guys can play explorers of sky next!
@@weavilefrost7034 Yeah, and this channel pretty much never shows post-game stuff on any of their videos sadly. One of the only recent examples I can think of is Girlfriend reading out Looker's dialogue disguised as her mom for a few seconds at the veeeery end of the BW video as Boyfriend was trying to end it. Only post-game they did on video as far as Pokémon is concerned iirc was HGSS's

As an expert who watched the first seven seconds of the video, I have to agree. At 0:06, when he says "fun", it kinda sounds like his nose is clogged and he's halfway to saying "Fudd".
Yeah the Synchro Machine in Pokémon Scarlet/Violet got my hopes up but still had some fun goofing around with friends online by jump-scaring them as a Dialgia etc. Wish it was available at the start of the game so I could have adventured around as a Sprigatito. Home they make more human-less games in the future
Without fail, every time I click on your guys videos I am never disappointed; and I am filled with laughter. The pure unfiltered opinions of your girlfriend gives me life. I love how she’s so focused and involved in the game. I absolutely LOVED these games when I was younger. So glad that she’s enjoying one of my favorite games with such excitement. 🥺
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Blue and Red were released in November 17, 2005. I was in High School at the time and I still remember the ending of the story made me tear up. I loved that game and playing the post-game was more fun than any of the main Pokémon titles. I couldn't even bring myself to buy/play any of the sequel games because I was worried about the feelings being that hard and that maybe the sequel games won't live up to the hype that the original games were.
That's such a shame. Because explorers of time/darkness/sky is genuinely one of my favorite stories ever. Even besides pokemon. And playing them doesn't take away from the rescue team feeling at all
Your girlfriend being on point on Gengar though, he really was the trainer who ditched Gardevoir and the whole arc plays out in the post game after you get the Sky Blue Plains friend area from a mission.
mystery dungeon dx was one of the best pokemon remakes i've played on the switch. tons of quality of life improvements, beautiful graphics, i finished in 3 days i genuinely could not put it down after i got it
If I had a nickel for every time Pokémon would release an isekai that has you getting kicked out of a village for being accused as the cause of a natural disaster despite being the hero sent to stop it, I’d have 2 nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it happened twice
I had gotten Mudkip for my test and chose charmander as my partner it eventually devolved to me always being the tank and brute forcing everything I could.
I love your girlfriend's energy. I would genuinely love seeing full length Let's Plays from someone so non-jaded and not irony poisoned. After dealing with the toxicity of the Pokemon fandom, this is a delight.
7:20 the removal of friend areas in Mystery Dungeon DX was an abominable decision. I spent a lot of time as a kid just hanging out in the friend areas with my pokemon. They created such great atmospheres
Red rescue team was countless hours of fun for me. And when I got a ds, I got blue rescue team and explorers of darkness as two of my first 3 games. I adored this series.
I've played Red Rescue team quite ALOT in the GBA. My friend lives miles away from me, the way we connected to each other is the wonder mail. Basically if someone gets knocked out of a dungeon, you can opt for a rescue using wonder mail. The friend writes in the code and sends it to you. You complete the wonder mail then you get a code, send that code to your friend and your friend will be rescued from the dungeon. You can also abuse this if you know a nice code, like friend bow or rare candies. Edit: That was probably called SOS mail
Noicky briefly mentioned it but yeah, I love the Wonder Mail / SOS Mail rescuing features in the PMD games. No connections or cables required! There's now even online communities for people to post and rescue each other, as well as share interesting/useful Wonder Mail missions. This form of multiplayer really stands the test of time.
despite it being a hot topic, i always loved the friend areas, and i was mad as heck, when they didn't make them visitable in the switch versions. i loved exploring them and seeing how my pokemon lived.
This is the first video i saw, i literally didn't knew you existed about 40 minutes ago, what a gem, thanks for letting see us this treasure, and your gf just made the video better. I'm glad i got to see this and experience through your gf what we couldn't by ourselves, which is like experiencing the game for the first time. If you ever read this, thank you.
Honestly, it may seem like grass mons have it rough because of the typing of the dungeons, but sleep powder and skill linking bullet seeds is no joke, lol.
So happy you two visited this game! I spent so much time playing the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games in my life, and I always get so invested in the characters and the story!
Oh gosh, I remember playing this gem after a friend from elementary introduced me to it. Although I used cheats to shoot my level up to 100 to avoid grinding, the story was still an unimaginable experience. Reaching the end and saying goodbye has had such a lasting emotional impact on me that I still get teary eyed to this day whenever I just hear the music playing at the end credits. I am not someone who cries about fictional media easily, but this game managed it.
As a kid, I did the quiz in Red Rescue Team with no information and I got Charmander, thenpicked Squirtle as my partner. When I got Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX, I forget if I went with the quiz result or not (it's optional in that game), but I played as Cubone with an Eevee partner. The story was amazing, but I especially loved the post-game story missions. Resolving Gengar's issues was really touching to me. I was devastated when my step-mom took away my games and I later found out it was sold without my permission (neither she nor my dad had any part in purchasing the device or the game). I have never completed any of the level reset dungeons. Compulsory save dungeons in general were also a rough thing to attempt for me in Red Rescue Team, since I often didn't have the battery power to guarantee I got through (battery costs added up, and I was using a GBA), and if the power went out without properly saving I would lose all progress and items I went in with.
How did you find DX compared to the original? I tried the demo version of DX but never bothered to get the game as I didn't like the mechanics changes in the demo.
@@emberguard5009 It's a great game, and I've put a lot of time into it. Here's my thoughts on specific changes: IQ changed to Rare Qualities. Great change. IQ had some issues, such as the extremely long leveling time, and some pokemon having bad IQ pools. Rare qualities are a much less frustrating system, and have some powerful synergies. Default attack is non-damaging (used for checking traps), and moves can be upgraded with use. Mixed feelings, mostly positive. On the one hand, default attack gave you an infinite-use move for long dungeons. On the other, it made the game less interesting since you could spam it once you were strong enough. With the stronger emphasis on moves, items like Ether and Elixir are much more valuable. Some dungeons are shorter, and auto-move exists. Great change. Sometimes exploring is just tedious, and you need to relax a little. Both of these help with that mental fatigue, and make things more approachable. Friend zones are just lists now. Bad change. Being able to walk in the zones and see the Pokemon you befriended moving around is much cooler than looking at PNGs of them. This also goes with not being able to change your avatar when roaming the town.

I will never forget how pissed I was as a kid when I learned that the bank took all my money. Being hunted down by literally everyone? That was fine. But taking my money? That was a step too far.
Mystery dungeon has so consistently stoked a mental flame of my desiring a Pokémon-only anime. Something where the mons talk and set in a universe written by a creative team with a thick lore bible that’s anal about detailing all the little quirks of worldbuilding that must come with the territory of depicting so many super powered little animals.
Her reactions and overall investment is absolutely endearing. If she enjoyed this story-heavy and turn-based RPG experience I highly recommend the MegaMan Battle Network series. They are nostalgic masterpieces.
I've never known the whole story of this game. It was super awesome to watch you guys get through another banger! Looking forward to next one as always!

I remember the ending of this game being the first game to make me cry as a kid. Absolutely destroyed me. The section where they're nervous about evolving because they'll be different and can never go back? Devastating. The ending? Obliterated me. 10/10 game
I remember bawling my eyes out to the ending of this game, brilliant game, brilliant story and AMAZING OST. Even watching this video, I cried again at the end. Honestly this game was amazing and I wish more people had experienced it.
Simple answer yes…long answer yes with like 40 e’s. Emotional story, banger soundtracks, phenomenal animation….and an ending that makes me ugly cry . I love this game
first time viewer, tarny's hyper-animated, over-the-top excitement style of narration of everything was soo funny but also wholesome and honestly sorta made me a little hyped up too LMAO
It's interesting when Nick talks about the game near the end and says "sure the game can be goofy and light hearted at times but..." as if that's a negative whatsoever. When he was making fun of the name Team Meanie and saying "What do you expect from a kids game?" it felt needlessly condescending. It just feels like how kids wanting to appear more mature than they actually are talk about childish things when actually being mature is not looking down on that kind of stuff I feel. Sure Team Meanie isn't subtle but not everything needs to be nuanced. Idk, maybe I'm reading too much into it but it feels weird to bring up these points and act like the game is a lesser for it, maybe he's just mentioning it as a caveat for people who don't like that kind of silly stuff.
No i felt the same watching actually. When he mentioned how "team meanies" was a stupid name my first reaction was "So what?". It accomplishes what it sets out to do, and I can never remember once actually thinking about this when playing it as a kid. Of course they were meanies, that was their identity. I don't think I ever once questioned it, because why would I?
Not to mention how, despite Medicham and Ekans being the stereotypical baddies, Gengar has a lot more nuance as a villain. Especially when his history is revealed in the postgame. Spoilers: Suddenly, him pinning the blame for the natural disasters on the player isn’t just an excuse of him being a dick. It’s also him throwing any potential suspicion off himself-as he was the human described in the Ninetales legend to begin with.
I recently replayed this game and it truly is amazing. I loved watching the reaction to it. Her tearing up made me tear up. I'm gonna go replay the game again right now! Thanks you two
Dude, PMD: Time slaps with its music and story. And Red was horrifying because it introduced the 'great, powerful adventure' team at the beginning of the game, only for you to have to fight that very same legendary team later on when they think you're the bad guys. Absolutely amazing My only actual complaint is that Sky doesn't let you move diagonally properly like in Time, which threw me off hardcore lol
29:25 I mean they came out with the remaster on the Switch and just added Red Rescue Team on GBA Online. 33:10 I wonder how well she'd do against Primal Groudon in the remastered version.
Can I just say the spritework in this game has always taken my breath away? There are over 300 pokemon in this game, and each one has different idle and walk animations, sleeping poses, and hit poses. I also just love how colorful and alive all the dungeons feel. Especially with the animated gradient backgrounds like you see in Magma Cavern. This game is just gorgeous. Top tier. Phenomenal.
I only recently found this channel but it has already become one of my favorites. Been spending my time catching up to all these vids lol. How dare yall monopolize my time like that?? 😂😂😂
Explorers of Sky imho isn't just an emotional rollercoaster. It is a game of deep meaning, life lessons and values and that's what makes it stand out. After all these years and so many playthroughs I'm still discovering the depth of the characters that are Grovyle and Dusknoir. It's just awe-inspiring.
The crazier thing is that one of the grass type starters, even with the abundance of grass resistant bosses, are still some of the greatest menaces they've ever designed gameplay-wise, to the point it almost necessitated a resist or a dual resist to compensate. Like, Treecko is such an absurd little guy with agility stacking him up to like a bajillion turns per turn and then firing like 30 bullet seeds across the map was crazy, even without knowing how good some of the items like seeds and orbs were to keep bosses under control back when I played as a kid. But yeah grass types without that level of setup do be having a hell of a time. I remember Moltres being one of the greatest walls to my progress for like a week.
Ah, I remember a poignant story written by someone in the point of view of the magnemite friend and the caterpie duo when the protagonists were chased out. It was heartbreaking...
If she does Explorers of Sky make sure to also do the postgame, its basically half the story.
I guarantee explorers of sky will make her cry

@@LosfrogerXit’s everything great about time and darkness but with more story bonus episodes and more areas to explore 🙂
"Some pokemon are unreasonably difficult to recruit..."
Ah, the Kecleon, Mew, Jirachi, Celebi, Deoxys, any low level pokemon in 40+ floor marathon dungeons, anything in low floors of the Ancient Ruin and the postgame Wish Cave like dungeons!
The pain!
Edit: Hi Gengar side story!
Don’t you just need an escape orb to leave with new recruits low floor levels in high floor count dungeons to keep them right away?
@@DylVan-k8yKinda, I'm more talking about the pokemon where the dungeon sets you back to level and IQ 1. That and Kecleon requires friend bow, lv:100 and usually a supereffective knockout
The mythicals arent unreasonable, they are mythicals after so they should be a challenge, and Kecleon being difficult also makes sense
Your girlfriend's boundless excitement and optimism is heartwarming. XD
i recently played through pmd explorers of sky while i made my boyfriend play it for the first time, and i can definitely say despite all my nostalgia, it 100% holds up. there are a few mechanics that are a little clunky or time consuming, but i love that it's a pokemon game with real challenge and a BEAUTIFUL story. maybe you guys can play explorers of sky next!
Now make her play Explorers of Sky
Oh she is NOT going to emotionally recover
@@tiddlez3948 Yeah, but it’ll be funny.
I swear there was a redemption for Gengar where he took your place for Gardevoir
I believe that happened in the manga
Yep, it's post game only though, it's about the last thing you can do aside from the level 1 dungeons.

I’m not crying 39:08
You got to get her to play explorers of sky next, the story in that one is insane how much better it is
The way she experiences this game for me makes me nostalgic all over again and realise how great this game is, the ending made me even tear up again! Thank you for letting me experience this game again❤
As an expert who watched the first seven seconds of the video, I have to agree. At 0:06, when he says "fun", it kinda sounds like his nose is clogged and he's halfway to saying "Fudd".
These games were way deeper story wise than I expected and its so good
I remember also wanting a game where I could play as the Pokemon rather than the trainer. For me, Pokepark Wii was my favourite in that regard
Pokepark Wii Mention SPOTTED! I ASCEND!
Yes, both 1 and 2 are so cool. Heck, I think I completed 1
Pokepark fan will rise up again now that it is mentionned.
This was the first game to ever make me cry out of sheer emotion for the characters
Bro has been in a From Software swamp 💀
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Blue and Red were released in November 17, 2005. I was in High School at the time and I still remember the ending of the story made me tear up. I loved that game and playing the post-game was more fun than any of the main Pokémon titles. I couldn't even bring myself to buy/play any of the sequel games because I was worried about the feelings being that hard and that maybe the sequel games won't live up to the hype that the original games were.
That's such a shame. Because explorers of time/darkness/sky is genuinely one of my favorite stories ever. Even besides pokemon. And playing them doesn't take away from the rescue team feeling at all
pokemon spinoff with jrpg quality storyline will always be goated.
i played explorers of sky when i was 12 and that went crazy
For anyone who doesn't know, the Rogue in roguelike is the original game that the gameplay of Mystery Dungeon is based on.
I remember playing this under my covers so they couldn't see the light from my nintendo screen when I was 7 years old at night
And I never knew what I was doing, all I know today is that it's roguelike escque
I love Blue rescue team but man was explorers of Sky amazing, we need a remaster ASAP
Red rescue team was countless hours of fun for me. And when I got a ds, I got blue rescue team and explorers of darkness as two of my first 3 games. I adored this series.
I know we’re incredibly far away from it, but noicky bringing up legends arceus has me so hyped to see tarny play it
I've played Red Rescue team quite ALOT in the GBA.
Is it just me or does he sound very different?
Definitely.
voice deeper yea
Maybe a little sick?
Flu?
Allergies maybe?
despite it being a hot topic, i always loved the friend areas, and i was mad as heck, when they didn't make them visitable in the switch versions. i loved exploring them and seeing how my pokemon lived.
I would love see you guys play the pokemon ranger franchise
This is the first video i saw, i literally didn't knew you existed about 40 minutes ago, what a gem, thanks for letting see us this treasure, and your gf just made the video better. I'm glad i got to see this and experience through your gf what we couldn't by ourselves, which is like experiencing the game for the first time. If you ever read this, thank you.
I hope this entire video runs without any explanation at all as to Noicky’s voice shift
Honestly, it may seem like grass mons have it rough because of the typing of the dungeons, but sleep powder and skill linking bullet seeds is no joke, lol.
If you get lucky and get 3 bullet seed tms and link 4 of them together, nothing survives lol xD.
Machine gun everything down to smithereens.
OG Rescue Team was goat'd! I can only anticipate what it'd be like if they cover EOS next 👀
This and Paper Mario TTYD are probably the most nostalgic things I have ever replayed. Halo 3 is up there too
As a kid, I did the quiz in Red Rescue Team with no information and I got Charmander, thenpicked Squirtle as my partner.
Here's my thoughts on specific changes:
IQ changed to Rare Qualities.

Thanks for the heads up lmao
Mystery dungeon has so consistently stoked a mental flame of my desiring a Pokémon-only anime. Something where the mons talk and set in a universe written by a creative team with a thick lore bible that’s anal about detailing all the little quirks of worldbuilding that must come with the territory of depicting so many super powered little animals.
Her reactions and overall investment is absolutely endearing. If she enjoyed this story-heavy and turn-based RPG experience I highly recommend the MegaMan Battle Network series. They are nostalgic masterpieces.
Pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of sky needs to be remade as it’s amazing
I remember I was a Machop and it made the game really easy. I never thought to respec the personality test to make myself another pokemon.

first time viewer, tarny's hyper-animated, over-the-top excitement style of narration of everything was soo funny but also wholesome and honestly sorta made me a little hyped up too LMAO
Spoilers:
Suddenly, him pinning the blame for the natural disasters on the player isn’t just an excuse of him being a dick. It’s also him throwing any potential suspicion off himself-as he was the human described in the Ninetales legend to begin with.
9:14 - Where's the shadow of the colossus music when Tyranitar show up?
You know shes a keeper when she names the partner after you ❤

Thanks you two
This game is a masterpiece. It takes so long to beat it at 100%. And doing the 100 floors dungeons...It's a lovely experience.
It's always lovely hear someone get so excited with something just as she does on this videos
Dude, PMD: Time slaps with its music and story. And Red was horrifying because it introduced the 'great, powerful adventure' team at the beginning of the game, only for you to have to fight that very same legendary team later on when they think you're the bad guys. Absolutely amazing
My only actual complaint is that Sky doesn't let you move diagonally properly like in Time, which threw me off hardcore lol
Huh? The movement of the two games is identical though
29:25 I mean they came out with the remaster on the Switch and just added Red Rescue Team on GBA Online.
33:10 I wonder how well she'd do against Primal Groudon in the remastered version.
Explorers of Sky is the most fondly remembered PMD game, she should play that next.
There are two weird white dots in the video, you can see them at e.g. 17:22
I thought at first that I had dead pixels on my screen
Can I just say the spritework in this game has always taken my breath away? There are over 300 pokemon in this game, and each one has different idle and walk animations, sleeping poses, and hit poses. I also just love how colorful and alive all the dungeons feel. Especially with the animated gradient backgrounds like you see in Magma Cavern. This game is just gorgeous. Top tier. Phenomenal.
I only recently found this channel but it has already become one of my favorites. Been spending my time catching up to all these vids lol.
How dare yall monopolize my time like that?? 😂😂😂
This is easily one of the best RUclips channels out there. Look forward to every new video.
