    I think the unknown force that kicks you out of a dungeon when you have been on a floor too long is the dungeon collapsing in on itself. What I mean is that since mystery dungeons are randomised, they can only exist in a certain for so long before randomising again, and no one in the games knows how the dungeons randomise, they only know that dungeon randomising happens. So maybe the unknown force can’t actually be comprehended by Pokemon. The unknown force causes disturbances in the dungeon such as a wind picking up or the ground starting to shake, suggesting that it’s become more and more unstable, and if you wait too long you faint. Maybe you faint because the disturbances get too strong and cause a mini-natural disaster that KOs you, or maybe you get trapped in the dungeons walls when it is reforming into a new randomised layout, or the power that can randomise dungeons is so strong that that’s what KOs you.
    Idk lol it’s just what I think

    I'm surprised no one has mentioned this but:
    There's this rare event in Explorers (idk if this can also happen in the other installments) where you simply just can't complete a mission because "The target is nowhere to be found" or something and the destination floor just becomes a single giant room.
    The first time I experienced that I was SO CONFUSED, even slightly creeped out. Now I just found it kind of annoying, but it still intrigues me that Chunsoft planned for that possibility and I still don't know for what purpose lol

      I think it's because the player simply took too long to rescue the pokemon and it fainted from hunger. Another theory I have is that it took damage from the weather. I once did a rescue mission to Dark Crater and while I was doing the mission a Hippowdown's sandstorm caused the pokemon to faint while I was in the same floor as the pokemon. The text said "Pidgey fainted..." but it didn't sent me home.

    There's one weird thing I always used to do in Rescue Team that I never hear anyone talk about. When an opposing Pokémon faints, its sprite turns semi-transparent for a small animation. When you press and hold the shoulder buttons at the exact right time, that Pokémon will not disappear (or come back to ask you to join your team), but instead return to its normal idle position, but semi-transparent, until you let go of the buttons. This does nothing useful except look cool, but when I was a kid, I was convinced that there must be a purpose for this function, so I tried to do it all the time, hoping for it to increase recruiting probability or something. This even worked for the mirage Deoxys of Meteor Cave which were semi-transparent by design and became slightly more transparent when pulling off this trick.

  • @moonmoon4537
    @moonmoon4537 3 года назад +8

    Shedinja is the strongest pokemon in PMD sky. It gets a room wide attack, a straight line attack, plenty of good options at close range, and with three species items, it can only be damaged by two types of attack. It can also walk into walls to escape bad situations, and can cut corners in dungeons (which is the equivalent to a free turn, basically).
    tl;dr 15/17 immunities, a room wide attack that can +1 your stats, and ghost perks
    Feed it enough vitamins and Shedinja is completely unstoppable

    • @SpaceySoundy
      @SpaceySoundy  3 года назад +2

      Was looking at this all and you're right, Shedinja seems very powerful when maxed, my concerns were traps and weather effects, but with trap seer and a weather band, well, yeah.
      I guess I stand corrected on Smeargle being the potential strongest, Shedinja is insane.

    • @moonmoon4537
      @moonmoon4537 3 года назад +1

      I also think basic attacks only deal 1 damage on Shedinja, since the game has that rule set in place so Shedinja doesn’t instadie in one basic attack (since it only has 5 hp by default). You would have to feed him nearly 2000 vitamins (a process I’m undertaking now) to have him completely maxed out - that’s a lot of wondermail codes.
      Run Mind Reader linked with Silver Wind, Bug Buzz, and Shadow Ball. You have a 100% accurate room-wide move with a chance to buff all your stats, Bug Buzz is the most powerful single-target bug move in the game, and shadow ball is for hitting enemies at range.
      You’re lacking a little bit in terms of PP, but since you’re nearly untouchable use your basic attacks to conserve PP, and bring lots of elixers. You don’t even really need to use silver wind on a monster house unless you’re at a type disadvantage.

    • @moonmoon4537
      @moonmoon4537 3 года назад +2

      @@SpaceySoundy It’s also worth noting that Shaymin-S can get a permanent +3 speed boost with a x2 attack speed bonus if I’m not mistaken, allowing it to outrun any threats and attack 6x per turn. Only works in clear weather, however. You’ll still get killed by line moves like Ice Beam some times when you don’t expect it however.
      Lots of fun interactions like that in the game. I’m always trying to find more (:

    I don’t think bidoof created the end of the world. I think he saved the world. The player and their partner weren’t the target of darkrai’s plans in the main game, they thwarted it. My theory is that bidoof may have placed the human and their partner on the way to save the world: saving the human when the corridor of time was shattered, and placing the relic piece in your partner’s way. So if Bidoof wished for them to join the guild, I don’t think they doomed the world in any way.

The option that is supposed to make the partner either male or female is in the quiz (choosing cool or cute description for the partner), but for whatever reason they always turn out to be a girl? You can see that with their portrait, partner will use a flipped picture like other confirmed females. Bizzare.

I was in sky tower, pretty deep in, 30-33 floors I think, well I went into a room and I saw the texts "It's a Monster House!" And I got ready, I ran Blaziken and Pikachu. And I shit you not, the room filled with Masquerains. I thought for a second, "ok I got this, they're still bug types." But that hope died when, one after another did Silver Wind. Never in my life did I see reviver seeds drain as fast as it did that day for me.. I blacked out and I dreaded ever encountering that sight again. It's been 14 years since then, and I have never encountered that monster house again. But I know one day I will again. And I hope I will be ready for it.

    Theory about the 6th time gear :
    There are indeed 5 Time Gears, and 5 known Time gear locations : the three lakes, Treeshroud Forest and Limestone Cavern. But actually, this last one was added in Sky, in the Team Charm's special episode. So maybe in TD, they were intending to leave the 5th time gear's locations unknown (and imply it's the volcano one), and then retconned themselves in Sky.

    About Gardevoir's secret council, I do have my theory..... though it's spoilers for Gates to Infinity below:
    It's revealed mid-game in Gates that the one that turned the human into a pokemon is a being called the "Voice of Life" in the form of an Hydreigon, who in the story has said to have caused many humans to be turned into a pokemon. And to top it all of, the Voice of Life isn't a singular entity, since it once referred to "voiceS of life" existing aside from the one in-game.
    What if that secret council was the many Voices of Life? The mysterious voice that talked to the human when they were being sent back could be one of them telling you that all your friends are heartbroken and that you can go back if you truly wish for it (Surprisingly it's what the Voice of Life of Gates discovers in the post game. Gates: a prequel to the series????). Maybe, the Ninetales actually cursed Gardevoir into becoming one of these voices?
    We could go EVEN DEEPER. What if the Pink Celebi of Explorers.... was a Voice of Life? It would explain why a SHINY of a mythical pokemon (mythical in the pokemon world means its unique, there aren't a second.) exists! What if it wasn't Darkrai's attack that caused your transformation into a pokemon... but the pink celebi secretly transforming you into one to be better prepared against danger?
    If we go to pokemon super mystery dungeon, there is a cameo appearence of Gates' Voice of Life that seems to know the character but is shocked to find that he doesn't remember it. It could be 4th wall breaking, but it could also hint that the one that brought PSMD's human into the pokemon world was the same one that brought Gates' human. (If you think about it, we have no answer as to who/what caused the player's transformation into a pokemon compared to other games.)
    We should not forget that all these games have been developped by "Chunsoft" (Chunsoft for PMD 1 and 2 THEN Spike Chunsoft for 3 and 4) so it isn't impossible that they built the world and lore as they developped these games, retconning things along the way.

    I think one of the big theories about the mysterious force is that it is whatever curse that causes the mystery dungeons in the first place. Something about the curse not wanting "outsiders" (ie non enemy pokemon) for too long because they just come in and fuck shit up.
    Also i always found the recruitment process for these games kinda weird??? Like bro u were literally just trying to kill me 2 seconds ago. Imagine youre just walkin home from 711 and some dude tries to deck you for... Being near him?? For just existing in general?? Maybe for your food??? Anyways u beat the shit out of him and suddenly he just. Is fine. Hes your friend now. He would die for you. Congratulations.
    Like can enemy pokemon talk?? I dont think they come to town. They steal your money sometimes but they just live in the wild what tf are they gonna do with that. Can you bargain with them??? Why is their first instinct just kill on sight?? How does it feel if youre a bidoof and you find an enemy bidoof in a dungeon and hes coming to kill you? I dont think any of the npcs really talk about this its just like "oh the mystery dungeon curse and natural disasters is making some pokemon pretty cranky" sir these pokemon literally want to kill me how are we all morally okay with this

Presumably Groyvle either stole that one after the Treeshroud one (which he says is his first) and before seeking the lake spirits' gears, or he didn't take it until after the guild agreed to help gather them up once they learned the truth about him. If I recall, he went around regathering the gears offscreen before teaming up with the player and partner in the Hidden Land.
    Edit: Never mind, I forgot Limestone Cavern from the Team Charm episode holds a time gear. Very peculiar. It seems Explorers of Sky introduced an inconsistency in the plot here, unless the gear was later moved or something.

    I don't think the timer on the dungeons is separated from the lore, it's mentioned that the floors change each time you visit a mystery dungeon so maybe there's a set period of time between each change of the layout and the force that changes the layout is what's approaching. It would explain why you get kicked out as well because the floor resets.

    More info for the “the meteor is from ORAS’ world”. During the delta episode the Mossdeep scientists talk about warping the meteor via “mega energy” and Zinnia described a prophesy from the Dragonians (her race) that said “the meteor will be teleported to another world where megas don’t exist” while that means the ORAS meteor is different there is more to the theory,
    in Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon they confirm there are multiple different versions of the world through Guzzlord’s ultra space. (This theory i’m mentioning here it based on another theory about X/Y) now theres a second theory that in another world AZ’s ultimate weapon succeeded and destroyed all humans (note: JUST HUMANS). The rest of the theory is that the mystery dungeon world is the world where AZ did destroy humanity (hence why there are manmade objects and pokemon know about humans)
    So how does that correlate to the meteor? In ORAS one of deoxys’ dex entries state that he was created by a “giant laser being fired into space”, in XY when it shows when the ultimate weapon was fired it shoots up into space.
    Basically the theory is AZ firing the ultimate weapon created deoxys and killed all the humans then deoxys tried to crashed a meteor into the world (canonically it did that because it was upset about the ultimate weapons blast). The rest is assuming the time between the “good” XY’s past and ORAS delta is the same as the “bad” version of XY’s past and PMD is the same.

    • @LoinkLoink
      @LoinkLoink 3 года назад +23

      I like the theory, but here's Deoxys' ORAS entry I believe you're referring to:
      "The DNA of a space virus underwent a sudden mutation upon exposure to a laser beam and resulted in Deoxys. The crystalline organ on this Pokémon's chest appears to be its brain."
      It only mentions a laser beam and doesn't describe anything about said laser, meaning for all we know Deoxys could've been created in a lab when scientists were studying a space virus. Another huge point is that that exact Dex entry is used for OG Ruby, so it was more likely in OR to stay faithful to the originals rather than actual lore. I also don't know what you mean by it apparently being canon that Deoxys was upset by the ultimate weapon's blast, is there a source on that?
      Basically, there really isn't much defining evidence that links Deoxys to AZ's ultimate weapon as far as I know.

    • @liamwhite3522
      @liamwhite3522 3 года назад +21

      The more likely candidate for the laser that awakened Deoxys in PMD is Rayquaza's hyper beam during the events of the rescue team games.

    • @kaigankaya
      @kaigankaya 3 года назад +252

      I can answer this one! It's a translation problem; Max Elixir in Japanese is ピーピーマックス (PP Max). The word max (マックス) is similar to the Japanese name for linoone (マッスグマ), making the item Mix Elixir in Japanese be a pun, ピーピーマッスグ (PP Massugu), which means it's an item that only works on マッスグマ.
      This is the same for all of the 'fake items' in mystery dungeon, like the reviser seed (ぷっかつのタネvs ふっかつのタネ aka reviver seed) and whatever the oran berry one is called (オレンのみ vs オレソのみ) (oran berry vs oreso berry).

    My personal belief regarding the Bidoof theory is that the friend Bidoof wished for was the partner, and that the hero showing up was totally unrelated. To grant this wish, Jirachi could’ve given the partner the relic fragment, knowing that they would’ve gone to the guild to ask about it. This would explain how a random Pokémon with no adventure experience got the object that summons a sacred living water taxi who can cross the sea of time. Even in the end of the first special episode, Bidoof mentions that he only asked for one new friend, but ended up with two.

    • @princesscrystal6410

      I always figured bidoofs wish was never actually granted but rather jirachi was able to sense that we as the protagonist would join the guild soon enough and that bidoofs wish would come true regardless so he just let bidoof believe that he granted the wish in order to give him hope for rhe future and in reality, the events were already set on course out of convenience and timing of story plot events.

    Something I think should be on the iceberg is: in Explorers there is a special conversation you can see if you go back to Lapras after Grovyle returns to the future. I encountered this as a kid when I needed to leave Temporal Tower and Hidden Land to grind, and I've never heard anyone else mention it.
    Also, big spoilers for Gates to Infinity: it confirms the "secret council" bit about Gardevoir. There's a council of gods that brings humans into the Pokemon universe to try and save it, and a phenomenon that the villagers sometimes see turns out to be the humans that failed returning home.

And if that's true, and we can successfully get pushback from something on the other end, we might have a means of entering their world if we can make contact. To show them that we are out there. You can find him at random in a select few dungeons as long as you have the Secret Slab or Mystery Part in your bag, but he has a -22% recruit rate either way.

    I'm surprised the theory that the human in PSMD is the hero from GtI wasn't on the iceberg. For anyone who doesn't know the theory, here is how it goes:
    -The Dark Matter from Super shares many similarities with the Bittercold from Gates: both are crystal-like structures formed from the negative emotions of pokemon, both have vulnerable red cores and durable outer shells, both cause objects around them to float, and both will destroy the world if left unchecked. It is very likely that the Dark Matter and Bittercold are the same thing, or at the very least are related to each other.
    -Throughout PSMD, the player is told that they have fought the Dark Matter before. This is most likely referring to the fight against the Bittercold in GtI.
    -At the end of PSMD, the player doesn't return to the human world. This is because they were already permitted to stay in the pokemon world at the end of Gates.
    -If you recruit Hydreigon in Super, he will claim to recognize you, then gets concerned when he learns you lost your memory.
    A side effect of this theory is that it implies that the partner from Gates was actually Mew in disguise, which can possibly be explained:
    -Mew can use Transform.
    -The partner in Gates is friendly and trusting despite everyone else being cruel and distrustful. This is similar to Mew in Super, who is perpetually happy and quickly chooses to travel with the player after they meet.
    Lastly, here is some unrelated GtI trivia that could be added to the iceberg: the residents of Post Town have their own little stories that play out as you progress through the game. Here are some highlights:
    -Rampardos trying to ask out Cinccino, but being too nervous. This one is probably the most well-known.
    -Ducklett, Swanna, and Trubbish: Trubbish is a guest at Swanna's inn, but he always leaves a mess wherever he goes. It's Ducklett's job to clean up after him and complains to Swanna, who is too nice to kick him out. Feeling guilty, Trubbish eventually leaves on his own.
    -Dwebble's letter: early in the game, there is a Dwebble in town who claims his shell is cracking and that he needs to find a new home. If you keep talking to him, he tells you that the crack is getting worse. One day, Dwebble disappears. If you talk to Swanna after Dwebble leaves, she will give you a letter Dwebble wrote for you before he left, explaining that his shell finally broke and he was to embarrassed to say goodbye in person.

      I’m really tempted to think that Bittercold traveled from space through the Meteor that Rayquaza blew up may have housed it.
      Sometime in the future Darkrai is tempted to screw things up, leading to Dialgia also going ‘Primal’ because its Bittercold just not really acknowledged until Gates of Infinity.
      Story moves on its beaten but then Super happen and Everyone is here! Meaning somehow everything has happened & did happen but all the timelines from prior games got shoved into one place.
      Bittercold evolves into Dark Matter with way more power to twist the Pokémon to do its bidding considering Super’s story. I think they wanted to wipe everything to zero by having everyone here in one place.

    • @UnsavedChanges

      Wasn't it so that the events of the past Dark Matter encounter had happened a long time ago? A lot of things related to said time(s?) are written in ancient languages or are labeled as being very old. Meanwhile, all the characters from GTI are wandering around in SMD, talking about their time in Post Town as if it was mere months ago.
      This on its own is of course rather weird, for all of the locations of the previous games have seemingly been wiped from existence with nobody commenting on it. Let alone giant parts of the maps not aligning and whatnot, but I digress...
      I like to think that the Bittercold was a bit of a pawn to test the waters created by Dark Matter. The latter in the way we know it likes to take over the home of some being and use its powers to achieve its own nefarious goals. With the Great Glacier seemingly being a long-time phenomenon, this may be no different. Maybe there was a being similar to Xerneas that owned said place, only for it too to be exploited by the edgy orb. The places in which the two are found hanging certainly do look alike in one shape or form from what I can remember. Maybe these space-places were created by similar beings?
      So perhaps after waiting a very long time to strike again, Dark Matter figured it'd be a great idea to put up a puppet and see how the world would respond before it would make its own return.

      @@UnsavedChanges That is an interesting idea. The hardest part about theorizing about the PMD timeline is explaining why so many characters that lived in different points in history coexist. The most common explanation is that the references to the previous games through characters are non-canon, despite appearing in the game (unfortunately, this discounts the evidence that Hydreigon recognized the player). Since posting my original comment I have seen a variation of the theory that attempt to explain this:
      The modified theory states that the Dark Matter was defeated by Mew and an unknown human thousands of years ago, likely before any of the games. Eventually, it came back on the Mist Continent as the Bittercold, where it was "destroyed" by the GtI player. Some time after, the player realized that the Bittercold would return and agreed to give up their memory to find a new way to stop it, leading to Super.
      In addition to explaining how GtI characters exist in Super, this reorders the timeline in a way that corrects my biggest problem with the theory: architecture. If all the PMD games exist in one continuous timeline, then it doesn't make sense for GtI to be the first to happen. Based on the buildings we see in game, it makes much more sense if Explorers happened first, long before the other games (supported by the fact that mystery dungeons are a relatively new phenomenon in PMD2, popping up due to the destruction of time). Rescue Team, Gates, and Super appear to take place in relatively close succession. If PMD1 takes place shortly before Super, it might explain why the player suggested they have their memories wiped. If we view the character cameos as canon, then this is also when Explorers's Future takes place.
      Lastly, this requires an explanation for how characters from PMD2 past and future exist at the same time, since Celebi said generations had passed between the two. My theory is that the Guild members we meet in Super are actually the descendants of the Guild members in the original game. We know it is rare for Wigglytuff's Guild to find new recruits, but the children of recruits can join the Guild (like Diglett). This also explains why Wigglytuff is female in Super when she was male in Explorers (though there are other possible explanations for this).

    I'm quite surprised the fact that Ampharos was planning to have you killed isn't on here.
    Let me explain. (spoilers, duh.)
    In SMD, after you join the Expedition Society, you, your partner, and Archen set out to the Air Continent. There, you witness Latios and Latias crashing in the mystical forest. You head over to investigate, only to find they've turned to stone.
    Entei shows up to investigate it himself and wrongly assumes you're the one behind it. He warns you with what is essentially a death-threat and bails. (he says he would 'not be so merciful' next time.)
    Just after this, there's a cutscene where Ampharos is stress eating or something after being told about the events. The day after, he comes up with the idea to have a fun outing with everyone really soon! How delightful! Destination: Fire Island. The home of Entei. What a funny coincidence.
    Once there, he divides everyone into groups. You and your partner are paired with Buizel, who's taken to the side by Ampharos before you head in. Ampharos warns Buizel about Entei and tells him not to engage if they make contact, thus proofing Ampharos knew VERY WELL who was up there, warning a SINGLE ONE of his comrades about him. It's very strange to have him tell this quite crucial fact to Buizel in confidence, hiding it from you and the partner, despite knowing what happened in the forest a few days prior.
    You head on to the summit and make it there first. Strange, given the other groups existed out of what should be fully experienced adventurers instead of just ONE paired with two children.
    There, Entei shows himself. Buizel disregards the warning he got and attacks Entei seemingly just because he wants to see if he can make a dent in his skull. This obviously doesn't happen and he's thrashed.
    Entei then refers to his death threat ("You! Did I not tell you?! That I would not be so merciful next time!") and after destroying Buizel, implies he'll get on with it. ("I must admit I respect your foolish bravery! I have no choice but to admire your will! And so it is with great respect… That I finish you off!") The only reason he does not succeed in kicking the everliving stuff out of you is the scarf you are wearing deciding to show its magical powers and make you much more powerful. So you destroy him instead, only for Ampharos and the others to emerge and tell Entei that this is all a misunderstanding. He leaves, you have lunch on the mountain and go home. All happy end.
    This is never brought up again in the game as far as I am aware.
    Let's break it down.
    Ampharos knew Entei would want you dead.
    Ampharos knew Entei was at the site where the two were turned to stone.
    Ampharos DID NOT know the scarves you wore were magical.
    So Ampharos essentially sent you on a suicide mission disguised as a fun outing. He knew that once you would get up there, one in two things could possibly happen:
    1: You are dead.
    2: You are turned to stone.
    Either way, he would have his answer.
    He could never have guessed a magical event would allow you to live. He was fully prepared to throw you under the bus for that slither of information: the answer to Entei being the one turning everyone to stone or not.
    It was a sacrifice he was willing to make. He was prepared to have two children he barely knew killed for a yes/no answer and nobody judges him for it. He's this full happy guy all throughout the rest of the game, wishing you the best and offering you a job.
    No sorry. No compensation. Just business as usual I suppose.
    If Wiggs is on it for 'committing a felony', shouldn't Ampharos be on here for attempted murder?

      Oh wow, I had forgotten about this comment… been almost 3 years already I think. February I think it was.
      I hadn’t considered this part, and re-reading my own comment recaptured my interest, so I dusted off the script. While what you say is true, some key points make it a little less of a direct ‘retry’.
      Now Dedenne delivers this news on the spot, so this one is at the very least not premeditated.
      He says the following after hearing it (minus responses in between):
      “I see. I thank you for that information, Dedenne. Very well. I had intended for us all to go together to the Prehistoric Ruins… but it seems a change of plans is in order. We’ll have a Krookodile pursuit squad and a Prehistoric Ruins expedition squad. So let’s split into two groups. First up, those who will go after Krookodile… Partner, Human. Will you two please go?”
      “If he’s headed for the village, I need people who know the lay of the land. And also… I hear you are worried about your loved ones in the village. However, it’s far too dangerous to send just the two of you.”
      “We need to consider that Partner and Human may have to battle Krookodile. We need to find out as much as we can before it comes to that.”
      This time he directly states that what they’re about to do is dangerous, and at this point, the two are well aware of what that danger is. Additionally, he asked them if they’d want to go, it wasn’t much of an order.
      He also has an actual reason for choosing them… though I bet the guys that are making a literal map would know the land directly around their own town just as well, if not better. And this time he knows they have a ‘funny’ garment with which they should be able to bench-press Krookodile if he doesn’t turn them into statues.
      So he does kinda send them on a path to death again to just distract and get a yes/no answer, but this time he asked, and the two themselves agreed while knowing the coming danger. So while you are right, I don’t think it’s completely fair to say he just ‘tries it again’.
      He more or less kindly asks if they’re willing to jump off the bridge by themselves, wearing a parachute that may or may not trigger or even work to keep them safe might it indeed be as dangerous as it looks. And they oblige.
      I had quite a bit of fun going back through this to investigate, which I guess is evident just looking at this comment... So I guess I gotta thank you for bringing it to my attention. Have a happy new year! ;)

      @@UnsavedChanges It's good the explanation but I was referring to the first time they send you to krocodile when the warnings start appearing in lively Town and they send you to protect Entei in separate groups. I guess ampharos was willing to see a yes or no response no matter of what, in this case Entei was the one to fall. I progressed trough the prehisctorical cave part and I refreshed some parts, just to say that ampharos wasn't like sacrificing but just having half baked plans that for the cause of the plot results into having our protagonists in trouble. I just came to that conclusion.

    • @UnsavedChanges
      @UnsavedChanges 9 месяцев назад +1

      Oh, the Showdown Mountain thing… The only part I could remember involving Krookodile was the Revelation Mountain one. I now realize your typo didn’t mean ‘a while’, but Mawile in your comment. If I picked up on that I think I’d have seen I was in the wrong place.
      Going back again, It does seem that Ampharos originally didn’t even want the two to come along. Rather, he’s talked into bringing them right after originally stating; “You will watch over our headquarters. This is too dangerous for you.”
      So yeah, it indeed seems Amp’s just good at launching half-baked plans and being easily persuaded (and/or suspiciously OK with getting the duo in trouble. Anything for a “please” and those answers). Though I’d say it’s the duo’s fault as well after Fire Island for rolling with it. Twice.
      I guess we gotta give Amp a bit of a break, the lad’s got some issues upstairs. They show it in multiple ways; his unhinged stress-eating, his nonexistent sense of direction… as the leader of an exploration group… Maybe he should keep to his paperwork. >.>
      Now you could wonder if this low-level insanity is perhaps to blame for Fire Island rather than true malicious intent, but he did take Buizel to the side at the entrance to explain the threat of Entei to ONLY HIM, so he was well aware at the time, and purposefully hid the info from the others. And he essentially planned the whole thing based on Entei's threat to the duo. So that one stays, no pleading insanity there. At least to me.
      Oh well, I guess the eventual outcome of all these misadventures is good, so… I guess we should be thankful for his questionable leadership.
