Fun fact, if you asked jirachi to recruit a new friend whilst already having every single Pokémon, it will give you a wurmple, this is because of how they coded wurmple in the game essentially creating 2, one that evolves into cascoon the other silcoon. However if you have both types of wurmple it works like intended and jirachi will give you a random mon.

Do you have *any* idea how rough that is.. you need to be lvl 100 be max rank have nearly every recruit rate up in the game and than you have a *chance* to get Kecleon
Fun fact Skitty or Meowth are the optimal starters in this game. Yes the NORMAL TYPES are are the best choice

@dynastygirl2912 i agree! I actually went and bought skitty and cubone stickers to commemorate my challenge, they're sitting next to each other on my pc :)
when I played Blue Rescue team I used Skitty. I had facade on it and did massive amounts of damage. I think my other moves were ice beam, thunderbolt, and some other move I cant remember.

Aloha my friend, this game is the shiyet! I’ve spent over 300 hours grinding away at this game, and even then, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
I really hope they remaster the other Mystery Dungeon Games cause this is just the beginning!
Also, now that you have Celebi, you should check the Mystery House in the Western Cave where you found Mewtwo, there might just be a surprise waiting for you there…

i remember trying this challenge back when the game first came out except it took me way longer to complete. Was a lot of fun though, PMD DX still is to date my favorite pokemon game on the nintendo switch

I will never forget the first time i was playing through mystery dungeon blue rescue team on the ds and learning how comically overtuned multi hit moves are when a fearow just used fury attack and just instantly fainted my pokemon and no matter how much i tried always did enough to either faint me or leave me at 1 health, so much so that whenever i saw one i just ran the opposite direction avoiding them because i felt so helpless against them.

Man this game looks pretty, I played the original Blue Rescue team about a yeae ago and I genuinely forgot how much I not only liked the story, but loved the music. In my play through, I had a bullet seed Bulbasaur that unironically carried me through the game. I forgot about the remake came out and definitely looks worth my time, great video as ever :)

You know its funny, ive been wanting to play this remake for a long time and i havent gotten around to it, i used to play the originally constanly, i even have the original copy of it next to me and the first and only time i ever maxed my starter was a Cubone, my partner was Totodile and i evolved them etc i even recruited every legendary except mew, i tried dozens of times lmao but my tiny child brain just wanted to play it over again, im still mad at myself because ill NEVER have the dedication to recruit Mewtwo again. But seeing this video makes me want to get it, think im gonna pick up a copy soon, and great video man. Very well edited and cohesive.

My starter Pokémon was a Charmander in Rescue Team DX, and I was an Eevee in Explorers of Sky (Vanilla and ROM Hacks included, except for Explorers of The Spirit since I wanted to use Cyndaquil and get comfy with the moveset again.)
My first starters in MD were Mudkip and Treecko
Interesting fact, Skitty in the original mystery dungeon was only able to be selected as your player character if you picked girl. So in this game, you're able to be a male skitty.
Thought skitty had a 100% female rate, but it's actually 75% female
Skitty is incredibly OP in Mystery Dungeon and I wish more people understood that lol.
Loved this though it makes me sad because with each passing day, a Mystery Dungeon Explorers DX is look less likely

Out of curiosity, why did your footage at 2:37;randomly jump from being level 20s, to all of a sudden being level 40s and Cubone having evolved into Marowak? Did you forget to recruit doduo and go back for it, or forget to record footage?
A little of both, lol. I got doduo but couldn't find the footage, so i mentioned it when i recruited it and just used my footage of recruiting my second one haha

Love the video! Only critique I have is you need to get a pop filter, because for headphones users it's quite aggressive on our ears. It's also possible to fix it in post but it's a lot easier to just solve it via a filter you attach to the microphone. You can hear it with the "P's" when you say Pokemon.

I wonder if we'll ever get another Pokémon Mystery Dungeon... It has been a while since we got a new game/remake. Though, I'd imagine they'll probably wait a bit after dropping the original Red Rescue Team on Switch.
Wait, since DX added Megas to Rescue Team... What if they're saving another Mystery Dungeon game (either a remake or a new game) for after Legends ZA releases, so that IF Legends ZA does add new Megas (It probably won't, but it would be sick), they could include those for the overall... what would you call it? The hype factor?
I mean, sure I could always just buy a DS copy Explorers of Sky and play it on my 3DS (I do have a normal DS... But it's r button isn't in a very good state, and it doesn't always work... especially if you are trying to hold the r button), but I'd rather buy a remake (If it ever happens) since that would show the developers that we do want more Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, and thus prompt them to make another new game... If the next Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (If we get one, but I imagine that we will) IS just an entirely new one, then that's cool too. I've only played Rescue Team DX, but it was a lot of fun.
I'm not going to lie. It's been years since the game came out, and I still haven't completed the main story. I haven't even fought Rayquaza.

I guess that's true. Some trial and against the god of the sky can't hurt.
Edit: Took your advice and just beat Rayquaza. I used about 10 reviver seeds just getting there. My team was Pikachu, Eevee and Snorunt.

A cool thing you can do in the Groudon fight is you can prevent the lava spawning at all by using rain dance

What's also funny is that the later rocky dungeon was easy, and my sort of way for farming treasures. . .Just have a pokemon with small stomach and food finder. That's my sort of way to farm it.
Plus having a Honchkrow named Darkrai helps too

That's pretty cool you got it in under 85 hours. I never got a DS, but I spent over 150 hours in Red on the GBA and am far from completion (probably dozens of hours were spent just trying to get Shuckle and Keklion... Even with the friendship boosts)

Fun fact: Scyther is one of the best recruitment pokes in the early game with its easy access to false slash. It's one I used a lot in the POC run of this I started but never finished cause uproar mystery houses suck
I worked so hard to beat wish cave on my first attempt and you made it laughable ima go try that lol 😂 I loved the gba version in grand master and got all the legends but I never thought about recruiting everyone!

I have to say in this game you shouldn't sleep on psyduck as a partner, cloud 9 ability is so clutch in later dungeons! My starters were machop and psyduck and then altaria the legend slayer sticks around too! Great game!

Its a shame i believe this game didnt do that well cause it means we may never get an explorers of sky remake. Though admittedly i heavily disliked the art in this remake. Might replay explorers of sky again

I started playing this game a long time ago, and I'm still not even close to being finished, all because of silver trench. I tried it once, lost, and then did almost everything that isn't locked behind finishing it. I finished the mewtwo quest, I got suicune, like, the only things I can do now are finish silver trench, recruit the other 2 legendary beasts, trying to beat wish cave and trying to beat purity forest. The dungeon is WAY too long, there's NO items that fill up hunger and, for some reason, the pokémon there are on steroids. Seriously, my mewtwo is almost level 80, psychic is upgraded a lot, and most wild pokémon STILL don't faint in one hit. I DON'T GET IT WTF IS THIS DUNGEON!?
Rare qualities like Small Stomach or Rapid Bull's Eye are some of the best ways to clear Silver Trench in my opinion! 🙏
@@CushYT I have rapid bulls eyes, but... I have it on marowak. But still how do they not just die from 1 mewtwo psychic? It's almost level *80.* Something else which is super annoying is how all pokémon have hydro pump and there's no apples.
@gudrunlourinho4688 without small stomach I normally take around 10-15 big apples, 6-10 max ethers/elixirs, 6 reviver seeds and a couple oran berries. upgrading the pp for bonemerang and bone club is great too
@@CushYT oh, yeah so, uh, here's the thing: I don't have x ray specs. I lost them while doing kyogre's dungeon and the only dungeon where I know they can spawn is purity forest. Don't think i'd beat silver trench easily with them but it would help.
X-ray Specs are sold in Kecleon store. Just do Marowak's dojo over and over (it takes like 1 minute and counts as a dungeon so it resets the store) until they appear and buy them from Kecleon.

@@CushYT super mystery dungeon is pretty good and on the 3ds, if you want an older game explorer of skies is considered the best mystery dungeon game of all time
I've played explorers and I agree, I think super or gates would be my next options if I did

I miss the old friend areas on the Gameboy it was more fun and creative than I remember. Hell we were able to explore on the gameboy I don’t know why they didn’t do it on the switch.
I also found the gameplay was more easier than back now
I agree about the friend areas, I missed that a lot. In terms of movement and gameplay I felt the remake was better for more tactical play, like pushing your allies or enemies

the worst thing returned FREAKING STOMACH SYSTEM AND the best secret talent is Harmonie, it increased the chance of a defeated pokemon joining you the more pokemon you have in your team
I believe that's squad up, but yes that's a great one for this. I ran small stomach/ rapid bullseye and didn't have to worry about food the entire game, so I'd say those were my top 2 easily

I've gotten hate comments for saying names wrong, but it happens! No worries haha
That's one of the cases where I just choose to be incorrect, I always said Phanphy because I swear to christ that's how it was said in the anime even knowing that it's spelled Phanpy. The anime is also how I learned that Illumise is pronounced as if the e was accented, like in Pokémon. Il-loo-mee-sey. Illumisé is what it should be called if they wanted to actually convey that in any way.

I enjoyed it! I think getting all the legendaries is the main point of the post game, but you can shiny hunt too!
