Fun fact, if you asked jirachi to recruit a new friend whilst already having every single Pokémon, it will give you a wurmple, this is because of how they coded wurmple in the game essentially creating 2, one that evolves into cascoon the other silcoon. However if you have both types of wurmple it works like intended and jirachi will give you a random mon.

when I played Blue Rescue team I used Skitty. I had facade on it and did massive amounts of damage. I think my other moves were ice beam, thunderbolt, and some other move I cant remember.
i remember trying this challenge back when the game first came out except it took me way longer to complete. Was a lot of fun though, PMD DX still is to date my favorite pokemon game on the nintendo switch

I really hope they remaster the other Mystery Dungeon Games cause this is just the beginning! Also, now that you have Celebi, you should check the Mystery House in the Western Cave where you found Mewtwo, there might just be a surprise waiting for you there…
I will never forget the first time i was playing through mystery dungeon blue rescue team on the ds and learning how comically overtuned multi hit moves are when a fearow just used fury attack and just instantly fainted my pokemon and no matter how much i tried always did enough to either faint me or leave me at 1 health, so much so that whenever i saw one i just ran the opposite direction avoiding them because i felt so helpless against them.
As someone tryna 100% the original red rescue team rn I am so jealous of the xp share, being able to recruit as many Pokémon in a dungeon basically ANDDDD being able to recruit final evos and mid evolutions. Seems like the remakes really did fix a lot

You know its funny, ive been wanting to play this remake for a long time and i havent gotten around to it, i used to play the originally constanly, i even have the original copy of it next to me and the first and only time i ever maxed my starter was a Cubone, my partner was Totodile and i evolved them etc i even recruited every legendary except mew, i tried dozens of times lmao but my tiny child brain just wanted to play it over again, im still mad at myself because ill NEVER have the dedication to recruit Mewtwo again. But seeing this video makes me want to get it, think im gonna pick up a copy soon, and great video man. Very well edited and cohesive.

In my play through, I had a bullet seed Bulbasaur that unironically carried me through the game. I forgot about the remake came out and definitely looks worth my time, great video as ever :) Edit:I'm realising that I probably should have done the postgame💀
I had a lot of fun when I did this on my own save, but it took me a lot longer, haha. I got really unlucky with Riolu and it took me around 50 hours to find one. I found plenty of Lucarios though, of course lmao. Always love to see people who love the Mystery Dungeon series.
7:28 - Actually, Bone Club is a single-hit move. Bone Rush is the multi-attack move. But nobody noticed because almost nobody uses Cubone in the main series:(

My starter Pokémon was a Charmander in Rescue Team DX, and I was an Eevee in Explorers of Sky (Vanilla and ROM Hacks included, except for Explorers of The Spirit since I wanted to use Cyndaquil and get comfy with the moveset again.)
I learned some time ago the game has 2 different versions of Wurmple since there's no secret ID stuff like the main games to determine evolution. So if you ask Jirachi for "something nice" as your wish, even with everyone recruited, if you only have one type of Wurmple you'll just get another Wurmple
Love the video! Only critique I have is you need to get a pop filter, because for headphones users it's quite aggressive on our ears. It's also possible to fix it in post but it's a lot easier to just solve it via a filter you attach to the microphone. You can hear it with the "P's" when you say Pokemon.
What's also funny is that the later rocky dungeon was easy, and my sort of way for farming treasures. . .Just have a pokemon with small stomach and food finder. That's my sort of way to farm it. Plus having a Honchkrow named Darkrai helps too

Out of curiosity, why did your footage at 2:37;randomly jump from being level 20s, to all of a sudden being level 40s and Cubone having evolved into Marowak? Did you forget to recruit doduo and go back for it, or forget to record footage?
A little of both, lol. I got doduo but couldn't find the footage, so i mentioned it when i recruited it and just used my footage of recruiting my second one haha
A list of the friend zones needed for the early game would have been nice so people like me could follow along. At least until the dopamine starts wearing off.
For the bosses, I just used Skill Link Cloyster with the guaranteed hit for multi-attack moves rare trait. Icicle Spear hitting for 180 damage 5 times is WICKED strong
They changed False Swipe to raise recruiting rates after using it? That sounds really interesting, I only played the original Blue on DS and I think in order to recruit Kecleon I ended up having to RNG manip using quick saves because even after 10 years of playing the same file, he never tried joining me. Crazy it can get boosted to a 30% rate in the remake!
I worked so hard to beat wish cave on my first attempt and you made it laughable ima go try that lol 😂 I loved the gba version in grand master and got all the legends but I never thought about recruiting everyone!
