If it's easy to find, yes. You can also consume it in the summer.

Ma'am if stewed apple contains water and reduces calorie intake then how it can fire up Agni?
The water is added to prevent the apples from burning. It's very small amount. Because of its hight fiber content, apple causes satiation, so you feel full. But at the same time, it doesn't diminish the agni, like certain other foods that are filling but kill the agni such as ice cream. So it can stimulate agni while it's also filling.

Why take skin out
It's easier to digest them that way. But you can leave the skin if you don't have any digestive issues. It will give some extra fiber.
