    Thank you for this recipe! I'm just starting to honor my Kapha body and looking up recipes to whip up, but I do have a question. I've heard canola oils and some of the other oils you mentioned as having adverse effects on the body and to use other oils such as olive, coconut, grapeseed, and ghee (which I'm learning are not advised to consume for a Kapha). What's your take on those vegetable oils you mentioned?

    • @Clareminded
      @Clareminded  4 года назад +3

      Hi! great question. In retrospect of this video, I would not suggest canola oil. It is a lighter oil and thats why I mentioned it for kapha. Although sunflower oil and flaxseed oil are both far better and still light enough for kapha dosha. Ghee is good, but in small amounts for kapha ;)

    i live in a tropical climate and am kapha. It is hot year round. Would you recommend smoothie or hot breakfasts like this?

    • @Clareminded
      @Clareminded  4 года назад +1

      radiantchristina Hi! Granola with plank milk and little cinnamon and nutmeg would be best. Smoothies are OK but use fresh fruits and don’t add ice, cold drinks and smoothies destroy our Agni (digestive fire) which makes it difficult to digest food, especially kapha ;)
      Warm oats are always a win in my opinion, and for kapha you can too with warming spices like I mentioned above, sunflower seeds and an apple or berries :)

    • @Clareminded
      @Clareminded  4 года назад +2

      It's tough when you're in a hot climate! because naturally you would want to cool off a bit, especially as a super moist kapha dosha, but the agni will weaken from excessive cold substance entering the digestive tract. Try incorporating cooling herbs like mint or cilantro to your smoothie which will help the body cool off :) Try for a couple days and see if you notice anything. Always good to start your morning with warm water to stimulate the digestive system too. For kapha, try ginger tea and then add a dash of cinnamon and clove. It will stimulate a positive, strong agni before putting any food down to be digested.

      @@beckybarrancalivingnatural8194 glad to hear! Flax oil is great too. Olive or coconut oil will be ok too. I recommend sunflower because it’s lighter and drier, but it is more processed. For kaphas, it’s all about moderation :)

  • @addiemaureen

    Hi love your recipes! Can you add a little almond milk coconut yogurt to the muesli for the kapha dosha?

    • @Clareminded
      @Clareminded  5 лет назад +1

      addiemaureen Yes! Almond milk would be better than coconut because coconut is heavier and cooler (both aggravating for kapha dosha) almond milk or even almond or soy yogurt would go good with the muesli :)

    • @addiemaureen
      @addiemaureen 5 лет назад +1

      @@Clareminded Thank you so much! I didn't realize that coconut is not good for the kapha dosha? 💜

    • @Clareminded
      @Clareminded  5 лет назад +1

      addiemaureen of course, everything always depends person to person, but typically coconut is not the best option for kapha because it is heavy and cold (both like qualities of kapha) and can lead to an imbalance

      Hi there. You're so very right. This video was filmed much closer to the beginning of my journey as a student and I was still learning so much. Cooking wise, maple syrup would be much more appropriate, as when honey reaches a certain temperature, it can become toxic. Thank you for sharing.
