I honestly love the way the car sounds right now dude, but some would say it’s too obnoxious. However I enjoy the louder exhaust setups, the only way to go is with the Chris Borges special and it be super loud imo 😂
Happy to see you doing some power mods, I've heard a lot of good things about E85. I am interested to hear your thoughts on it overtime. Well put together video ♥
To be honest with you, It would be so cool to have the car he turbo’d right now and widebody. However I plan to keep this car forever and don’t want to rush into everything right away, I feel like I wouldn’t be able to experience it and enjoy it fully that way. So it’s better in my opinion to take my time with the car and build it overtime. Thanks for the input on the video, I’m super happy to hear you found it helpful or informative. I appreciate you watching and showing me support as well 🤝💙
I really appreciate that, it means a lot! I try to explain everything the best I can to make it easy to understand if you may not have attempted to do something like this before on your own vehicle. I’m glad you enjoyed and found the video helpful 🤝💙
Bro I know you can get one as well! Just keep pushing towards your goals everyday and before you know it you’ll be driving around in your own GR86 as well. Thanks so much for the kind words about mine, it really means so much to me. I appreciate you watching and showing so much support 🤝💙
Thanks brother! It’s about time we start doing some bigger things on this car. Car feels spectacular, honestly I now would want to put it up against other cars out of its class in a straight line where this car isn’t designed for and see how it holds up.
@Justinackerman_ I'd say to take it down a track again, you'll feel the power more because you're not just going in a straight line; you're seeing how the power gets put down as you turn. Take her to a dyno to see what numbers she gives you, bro. I can't wait to see more vids 💯💯
That would be an awesome idea as well. There is a track called The Firm about 2-3 hours away from where I live at. Maybe when the time is right, I can take the car down there and see how it performs on track being FBO E85. Last time I went out on track the only mods I had was just my catback exhaust and Intake system.
Taking the car on a dyno would be really cool as well, a lot of places require you to tune the car if you are gonna put in on a dyno. So I would have to find a place to just let me run the car to see how much HP it’s making and not tune it at the same time.
Thank you so much man! Honestly I love the way the car is looking and sounding right now, it’s perfect in my opinion. I actually have a few new parts already sitting in the garage ready to be installed. The videos on those parts should be coming soon, so stay tuned 🤝💙
I loved your BRZ dude! Sad to see it go, but I know you got big plan for your channel. I can’t wait to see what you got in store, we gotta hang again sometime 💪💙
Hey awesome vid! New sub here! Im over in Jersey. Just picked up a GR86 premium! Heard about Boosted Perf and plan on checking them out! Just curious what suspension and wheel/tire size set up are you running?
Hey fam! First off I really appreciate the support it means a lot to me 🤝💙 I absolutely love Boosted Performance, like I said I’ve had the car tuned by them now for almost a year and love it. As for the wheel and tire setup I’m currently running I have 18x9.5 +38 wheels, tires are 245/35/18’s and for suspension I’m running BC Coilover lowered around 2 inches all around. -1 degree camber in the front, and -2.5 in the rear. I hope this could help 🤝💙
I can certainly say I feel a difference when I have E85 in the car vs just being on 93. The car feels incredible and how it should have came from the factory. Thanks so much for watching and showing support 🤝💙
I know it doesn't matter, but I'm curious on how many miles per gallon you are averaging now compared to before with 93. If you could let us know in a future vid, or here, that would be great. I average 18mpg with 93oct and wonder what I would get with e85 lol Would you say it's worth it to spend the money and go e85? Looks like it would cost me $1500-1700 after tuning/flex fuel kit, and thats without a header. So probably $2500.
That honestly a very great question Sam. I honestly haven’t had the car tuned on E85 long enough just quite yet to see an influx/change in my MPG but that is something I can definitely examine and find out soon. To be quite honest with you, I would actually average around a similar about of MPG as you on 93. So within this next week or two I will take a look at mine and see what it sits at. As for if I think it’s worth it… 100%. E85 and a tune with a set of headers/exhaust and an intake like my car is definitely the way to go, and realistically is way to get all the power you can out of the car being still N/A. I plan to maybe put it on a dyno in the futures to see exactly how much HP it is making. Thanks so much for watching, I’ll keep you updated 🤝💙
Hey brother! So I was told by Graham that the car should be able to manage putting E85 into it with no problem. However it is always recommended that you upgrade to better fuel pumps, injectors, ect… as you mentioned. I definitely may do the same in the future, If I end up needing too. I will ensure to keep everyone updated with how the car handles the E85 overtime.
To be completely honest I’m not exactly sure. Based of the dyno numbers on Boosted Performance website on a car with similar modifications as mind they saw numbers around 245-250WHP. Which is pretty good in my opinion for just some simple bolt on mods, E85, and a tune. I would like to put in on an actual dyno some day to see exactly how much it’s making for myself because I am curious as well. Thanks so much for watching 🤝💙
@@Justinackerman_ 😂 bro. I swear to you that’s not what I meant 😂. I meant a hp + tune. But bro I got you. I will always watch your vids and support you. I’ll see if we can meet up this winter break. I would love for you to see all of the project cars I have and I would love to see and drive your car.
Dude I would absolutely love to do something like that when the time comes around. That would be a bunch of fun, and I’d love to film a video on something like that if you’d be alright with it as well.
Graham over at Boosted Performance tuned the car to run on ideally just E85, however I can choose to run every mix level of E85 or 93 that I want to put in the car thanks to the flex fuel kit we installed in the last video. Ideally the amount you should be putting in is around 2/4 or 3/4 of a tank in E85 to get to around 55% or more ethanol levels. I hope this could help answer your question, if you had any other questions I’d advice reaching out to Boosted Performance, they should be able to help answer any questions you may have about this whole process. Thanks for watching 🤝💙
To be completely honest with you I’ve seen a few individuals tune their cars to run only E85 in it, meaning they wouldn’t be able to fill it up with 93 as well. I believe this may be possible to do, but I’d recommend reaching out to Boosted Performance they could definitely help answer this type of question a lot better and in more detail than I ever can. Thanks so much for watching 🤝💙
Definitely well said! The flex fuel kit and sensor definitely plays a huge part in ensuring the car is running how it should be. Thanks for watching and sharing your input and assistance as well 🤝💙
Car sounds nuts dude! 🔥
Hey brother! Thanks so much for the kind words! I really appreciate you watching the video, it means so much to me. 💪

Video number 56?
Thanks for the love dude 🤝💙
Haha I actually just noticed that! Thanks for pointing that out i must of mistyped when editing the video.

I’ll see what I can get lined up for a video! I definitely got a few cars in mind already 👀
Bro you got THE CORN TUNE 🌽 keep making dope content bro, your positivity never gets old 🔥
Haha yeah dude! she’s a ripper on E85 🌽⛽️
Thanks so much for the support, it truly means a lot! 🤝💙
I would love to maybe get it on a Dyno or take it down the drag strip again to see what kind of numbers we can get out of it now that it’s on E85.

FOR REAL! Honestly the car feels amazing on E85, super happy with the outcome. Thanks so much for watching 🤝💙
Bro please drop the exhaust set up
Haha thanks dude! I got a bunch of videos on the exhaust setup on the car. I’m running PLM UEL Headers, and AWE Track Catback exhaust.

@@Justinackerman_ 😍😍😍😍😍
How much horsepower do you think you gained from doing this?

What amount of E85 you are suppose to put in the car.

You do. The flex fuel kit allows the car to adjust the ethanol content your putting in. You won’t get any benefit not getting it
Definitely well said! The flex fuel kit and sensor definitely plays a huge part in ensuring the car is running how it should be. Thanks for watching and sharing your input and assistance as well 🤝💙
I need some 🌽 now😩
Gotta do it, then we can run another race! I’d like to see how they do against each other before something like that though.
What a mess!!!
Not a fan of the E85?
