Hello, yes I actually am using that switch to turn on and off the light. I believe you could do what you mentioned by wiring it up to the headlights. I’m not the most knowledgeable when it comes to wiring, so I decided just to do it how they recommend. Another thing I was considering doing was bringing the switch to the inside of the cabin instead of in the engine bay to make it more easily accessible. I will definitely consider the method you said as well though, thanks so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed the video 🤝💙

I appreciate the support, to be honest I told myself I wouldn’t spend the money on this car unless I did get it in this color. Neptune Blue is my far my favorite color out of the lineup they’ve done with these cars. Everyone has there own personal opinions and to some people this color may be to bright and obnoxious, but I absolutely love it. Thanks for watching the video 🤝💙

Haha i actually did that on purpose 😅 People were flying in and out of the parking lots at both the hotels I was staying at, so I figured I would just park in the back and just take up two spots to prevent anything from happening. It’s not like it’s some crazy expensive car or anything like that, I just don’t want anything bad happening to it overnight in an area I’m not familiar with. So I like parking it away from everyone when I can, and if there are open spots for it.

They’ve actually held up fantastic. They only concerns I’ve had with them within this span of me installation them to now is actually just recently when I was driving the car pretty hard, the tabs on the middle on the seat that you sit on had slipped off and it was simple as just readjusting it and putting the tabs back in. I absolutely love my 86, and it was actually my first manual car I’ve ever owned. I already had practiced a few times in other manual vehicles, so I already knew how to drive one and when I got my 86 it was so easy to drive. As for what’s does performance wise on the 86 not much tbh… I have a catback exhaust, headers, a ram air intake, and a tune. I want to get a flex fuel kit for my car so I can run E85 soon. I hope this could help answer your question, thanks so much for watching 🤝💙

It’s funny you say that because this was actually my first manual sports cars as well. I have always understood how to drive manual, I’ve just never owned or practiced in a car myself. So my 86 was that car for me; and Toyota designed this thing wonderfully to where you can get in it and learn how to drive it quickly, and I would highly recommend you look into getting one for yourself. So I am running 18x9.5+38 wheels and tires are 245/35/18’s. They honestly didn’t do to terrible, considering I daily drive them, have tracked them at Sebring, I have even taken the car down the drag strip on this setup also. These are all season tires, specifically the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06+ so they aren’t really designed for this type of driving. Although I fiqured I would have my fun with them anyways, it wasn’t until I started pushing the car kinda hard where they got too hot and tire pressure needed to be dropped. My 86 is just to fast 😈😅

To be honest I think it sounds amazing, yes it loud but I enjoy my cars on the louder side. I wasn’t trying or hoping for it to sound “intimidating” I just wanted something that I think sounded good, and to me this has that iconic subi rumble. Thanks for watching, and sharing your input on it 🤝💙

@Justinackerman_ I think the best and loudest sound you can get is running open headers. You get two dumps and weld one on each side. Each dump has a plate with easy to remove butterfly nuts, which, when removed, allows the exhaust to come straight out, bypassing the muffler. It's illegal to run it like that, but it sounds like a race car. You can easily put the plates back on to go quiet or pass inspection. The downside is that this bypasses your sensors, which can cause your fuel economy to suck and your check engine light to come on. All is fixed with the plates back on, though. It's a cheap $50-$100 mod, and I promise you no one you see on the road will have a louder car than you. If you don't want to do that, I found a great video here in which this guy made his little 4 banger on his 86 loud as hell, and it's still legal. The video is called " MAKING OUR GR86 AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE ((HUGE FLAMES))

I mean everyone is entitled to there own opinions, what’s matters most at the end of the day is that I love it considering I’m the one whose gotta drive it around every day 😅 Tbh I can’t go much lower unless I added some camber. I just took the car out to the Tail Of The Dragon and was rubbing on some tight corners already. Got some sick footage coming soon 👀

@@Justinackerman_ : I did three mods as well = Hood Struts (highly recommended), ceramic window tint, Eibach 20mm wheel 🛞 spacers (really improves stance), interior & trunk & backup led lights (big improvement). These cars get driven very spiritedly; so change the oil every 3k or 6 months (which ever comes first). One last thing: google top tier gas ⛽️ and use these brands; they have higher detergent and will keep the injectors cleaner.

Yeah tbh I’m not a big fan of them either, I’m sure as you can tell by how obnoxious my car is I love loud cars. Ofc with a Tesla it doesn’t give you that satisfaction, but just as you said they are very quick vehicles, and not having to spend a bunch of money on gas is nice as well.

I would definitely consider coming back to the Miami area again with the car, it was very beautiful over there. I didn’t get to experience much of the car scene either when I was there, so that would be cool to see. Thanks for showing love and watching the video 🤝💙

I would definitely consider one day maybe swapping these smoked lense ones out for a clear lense version. I really like the dragon scale look, but there is also some OEM style clears that look so nice as well. Thanks so much for watching 🤝💙

It is insane, and I do sometimes forget myself how far the channel has come in this amount of time. It’s not the craziest of numbers, but at the end of the day the numbers aren’t what I do it for. It’s truly just because I love making videos, and whenever you all say that you enjoy the content or even people like you who have stuck around for so long and have shown me so much support since the beginning.
