Yeah it really wasn’t to hard of an install at all, you just need to take your time and ensure everything is properly connected. Thanks so for support 🤝💙
Yeah it’s about time we start doing some more power modifications. I’ve been wanting to actually do this for a while, just had to wait untill the time was right. Thanks so much for watching and showing support! The car feels insane with the new tune, so stay tuned 👀
Yessir! I definitely recommend it. I’ve had the kit on the car for almost a week now, and just got it tuned for E85. It feels absolutely amazing with some more power now 💪
As you’ve heard me say before as well, I would like to turbo my 86 in the future also. However that’s gonna have to be something later down the line just as you said. Thanks so much for watching the video and showing love as per usual fam 🤝💙
Haha I know right 😅 naw but for real I’ve honestly been wanting to do this for a while just wanted to wait until I felt the right time. Can’t wait till I get the car turbo’d in the future, and see the kinds of numbers we can make with it. Thanks for watching fam 🤝💙
Dude it’s so awesome! I’m still getting the tune dialed in with Boosted Performance but the car absolutely rips now on E85. Definitely without a doubt can feel an increase in power. Maybe when the time is right, you could consider doing the same on yours. I’ve been wanting to get a flex fuel kit and retune the car for E85 for a while now, so I’m stoked to finally be doing it.
Dude they are such incredible cars, I absolutely love mine and definitely recommend them to anyone who may be interested in potentially getting one themselves. Thanks so much for watching the video and showing love 🤝💙
I’m glad you found it helpful! I saw a few other content creators had made a video on this topic, however they don’t really show the process of installing it very well. I did my best to show every step required to get the flex fuel kit installed. I’ve had the car tuned for a few days now, it feels absolutely incredible. Stay tuned for next weeks video where we flash the new tune on the car.
Bro it made such an insane difference! Still dialing in the tune on the car right now but as it sits it’s feeling amazing! Can’t wait to share the video with you guys. Thanks for the support man! 💙
Thank you so much fam! I’ve been wanting to share this with you all for a while now. I’m so stoked to finally have a flex fuel kit for the car so we can run E85 in the car. Thanks so much for watching, glad you enjoyed the video 🤝💙
another great vid man! I finally got my uel headers and fp/op combo pipe from jdl installed and e-tune by boosted performance. With my borla catback she sound goood. Keep up the good work!
Ayy thanks man! I really appreciate the kind words and support on the video 🤝💙 That’s so cool to hear you got your UEL Headers and FP/OP combo and E tune from Boosted. I bet it sounds absolutely crazy, and rips as well.
Thats smart and awsome. I was thinking about that last night on my way up to the cities, thinking about installing a flex fuel for the 86 as well to save gas money, but I didn't thought that they actually build a flex fuel kit for the modern GR 86. Thats amazing Broski
Oh dude I love it! Just as you said, it’s cheaper than filling up fully with 93. I was actually told I could run straight E85 in the car instead of running a mix blend of 93/E85. I just got the car tuned a few days ago, I’m just dialing it in with boosted performance right now. It feels absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to share the next few videos with you all.
Yeah the flex fuel kit makes it super helpful In case you don’t have any local gas stations near you with E85, you can still run 93 in the car and then when you find a station with E you then can fill it up with that as well. To be honest the closest station to my house is like 20 minutes away, but it’s definitely worth it in my opinion.
@@Justinackerman_ here I have like 15 gas stations near by, I barely consume gas cuase my two jobs are 5 minutes away. But if I wanna drive lomg distance thats the real gas consumer there jejeje
I really enjoyed this video, and now I’m think I might do this to my car now. Where did you learn to work on your car? Cause I’m just nervous to do stuff like this
I’m super happy to hear that you enjoyed and found this video helpful! As for where I learn to work on my car, to be honest I just learn as I go. I always try and install parts myself to teach myself more about cars and how to work on them. I do try and find instruction or reference videos to give me an idea on how to install it. Which is why I make videos like these, to help you all out and give you a better understanding of how to work on your car as well. I definitely think with some time and patience you can 100% do this install yourself if you wanted too.
Hey Taylor, First of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is so awesome to hear you got your own BRZ, and in manual as well. I without a doubt believe that you’ll be able to learn to drive it good. My GR86 was actually my very first manual car I’ve ever owned as well. I say after a week of your driving it you’ll be able to get the hang of it.
Of course brother! Thank you as well for watching the video and showing support on it. I’d love to see some photos of your BRZ if you’d like to send them to me on Instagram 💪
Dude tell me about it 🥲 It really sucks too because I love this splitter, and I’ve had zero issues with it for the 7-8 months that it’s been on the car. I was driving home from work, and unfortunately there was a piece of metal wiring in the road. Unfortunately it was unavoidable and it caught the front lip and tore off that little piece in the front. Honestly it’s not super bad, it looks alittle worse in person. I’m sort of a perfectionist when it comes to my car, so don’t worry. I’ll be replacing it soon.
Ahhh dude I don’t even want to say how upset I would be if that happened to me. That really sucks, I’m sorry to hear that happened. Which is another reason why I didn’t go with a carbon fiber front lip initially. The one currently on the car is a $150 dollar 1 peice front lip from Extreme Online Store. Like I said I love the way it looks, and is great for a budget option as well so Incase something like this does happen where it may break it’s not super expensive to replace like a carbon one would be. However I think a carbon fiber front lip would look so nice, especially with all the other carbon fiber accents I have all around the car.
It’s funny you say that because i actually have thought about doing starlight headliner on my car. I actually did a 1000pc light kit with Jordan on his Civic SI and it turned out really sick. Maybe sometime I can look into doing the same on my 86. Thanks for the suggestion dude 💪
Dude! Not sure I’ve you’ve seen it online yet, but there is this kit made by Error 404 Motorsports. I absolutely love the way it looks, and I would highly consider getting the kit for my 86 when the times comes to widebody it.
hey justin just got my headers installed and i’m currently running a defouler😅 i was wondering what tuner was best for stage 2 and i’m in need of that cold start delete LOL
Hey dude! That’s awesome to hear you just got the headers installed on you car. I loved when I got mine installed, and still do to this day. As for the cold start delete, I was able to have that done by Boosted Performance who is actually gonna be also tuning the car for E85 now as well. I definitely recommend them, and Graham should be able to answer any questions you may have about tuning. Thanks so much for watching, I hope this could help answer your question. 🤝💙
Hey! Yeah I actually have considered getting an air intake. I currently have a Velossa Tech Ram Air Intake, and I would want to get a cold air intake that can pair and work together. I’ve seen a few options out there on the market, but still unsure of which one I’d be able to go with. Thanks so much for the suggestion, I will definitely keep that in mind. 🤝💙
To be completely honestly I’m not sure. If I had to guess probably will make an extra 20 whp once the car is on E85. I would like to take it to a dyno to see exactly how much HP it is making. If that’s something you all would like to see, I can try and make it happen in the future. Thanks so much for watching 🤝💙
Haha i completely understand what you are saying! It was abit scary to try and start the car like that, but like I said it’s just to we can ensure we get most of the fuel out of the lines when we go to pull the fuel lines off. You shouldn’t be worried about that, if you decide to do the same thing on your car. Thanks so much for watching 🤝💙
E85 is the way to go! There is a lot of benefits from running E85 in your car, although with pros there is always going to be a few cons as well. Thankfully I drive my 86 every day and it’s not cold in my area, so I don’t have to be to worried.
@@Justinackerman_I’ve heard people sometimes having issues with cold starts on E85. I was confused did you remove the left fuel line and replace it with the OEM right one?
That is one of the concerns when running E85 that is if you let the car sit for too long, or if you have to start it up in an environment that’s colder unlike Florida then you may have problems. Luckily for me I daily drive my 86, and it rarely ever gets cold here as well.
As for the fuel line, yes I did actually remember the OEM left fuel line, you take it out and just store it somewhere safe. You then connect the right fuel line onto the connector for the left one and then plug the provided line from boosted performance into the right slot if that makes sense.
I hope you enjoyed the video 💙
❤
wow!!! pretty simple install. Doesn't seem hard at all.
