    Now you just need the Nostrum high pressure fuel pump!

      @rammy3767 3 месяца назад +2

      you don’t really need that tbh, not until you upgrade your turbo at least. the power gains for anything over e60 on stock turbo would be minimal.

    Great video my dude. I've got all the stuff to do this sitting at home and ready to go on. Just wanted to finish my walnut blasting and get the OK from my tuner before throwing it on. I'll definitely be referencing this video again for my install. Also, this is the most concise video I've seen yet when demonstrating the fuel pump installation. Everyone who makes a video on it is stumbling around trying to figure it out and the video ends up being 40ish minutes long.

    Good stuff bro im surprised you made that much power without a bigger topmount.just install the can flex fuel yesterday and got dyno tune same day. My number was a bit disappointing for what i have tmic ebc aem fuel pump gs bov & charge pipe. The Tuner suggested replacing oem clutch before the tune if i want more aggressive tune to make power. On ethanol the car made 315 hp on 93 pump 250hp

    Eventually this will be something I do for my VB.. I did have the COBB Flex Fuel kit for my VA when I had it, but hardly ever ran E85 due to lack of local gas stations carrying E85. Hopefully that is something that'll change in the future where I live (East Tennessee).
    Excellent vid!! Seeing this VA build is making me really really miss my old VA.. Good times!

    Nice this was awesome. So full e85 and runs fine with the stock high pressure fuel pump? I heard this kit works with the factory low pressure pump as well. I wonder how long the stock pumps would last.

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  3 месяца назад

      Not sure. I used to hear you couldn't go over E60. But my tuner said it was only like that on the 2015 and was changed to a different hpfp on the 16+. I'll probably keep it around e50-e60 just to be on the safe side. Max power is usually at 60% anyway so adding more ethanol probably doesn't add much besides convenience at the pump. My first tank of full E85 I got 18mpg. Filled up to around E60 and I'm getting 27 now and feel no power difference.

    Hell yea, that’s a really nice conservative tune, what ethanol content does he have you running? And finally seeing the new flex kit was an awesome site, Im on my second flex kit due to the bad previous versions and I didn’t think we would ever see a new one, so that makes things less stressful going forward 😅

      He wanted me on full E85 but I ran into issues with fuel pressure fluctuations so we're troubleshooting now, and I'll update when we get it sorted out

    Would you recommend getting a downpipe for the VA I can’t decide if it’s worth it get

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  2 месяца назад +1

      @aidenmiller1071 I would normally say yes. My old VAs had downpipes, and they sounded beautiful and gained decent power, but now with the cobb greenspeed update if you're tuned on the accesport, you'll get a check engine light with any downpipe (catted or not) and you won't be able to tune it out. So if you can deal with having a check engine light and the constant flashing of the cruise control icon, and you live somewhere that doesn't do emissions testing, I would go for it. But otherwise it might be very annoying.

      @@StreetInspired1 thank you so much brother for the response I’ve been going back and forth with my tuner Anthony and my biggest reason for getting one mainly was for sound and some extra power but now since the light will come on and can’t do anything about it, has me thinking that it may not be worth it since I’m from PA as well and most likely won’t pass inspection honestly am considering the flex fuel kit you put on instead now as a check engine may be extremely annoying overtime.

    Changing the fuel pump on the 2015+ WRX and STI was the one mod I hated doing.

    • @totaleclipse05
      @totaleclipse05 3 месяца назад

      Why? I did mine on my STI and it was no more difficult than my old DSM or EVO. Start to finish was maybe 1.5-2hrs.

      @@FunTimeWithSouls I think the most annoying one for me was on an SRT-4. You have to drop the whole gas tank down to change it out.

    Why did you change the regulator ?

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  3 месяца назад

      My Tuner asked me to. Basically the stock regulator limits the new pump, and the new pump can't flow as much as it's supposed to, so the new regulator helps with that.

    • @mendez_guzman9661
      @mendez_guzman9661 3 месяца назад
