    Sadly the Speed Density part of this video didn't age well with the Cobb Green speed update. Luckily with there's Haltech packages out there that use the old TGV plugs as inputs with Haltech's IO expansion module to make going speed density easy still, just a little more expensive. Great video's as always Mike!

    I have those injectors in my subaru, worth every penny paid for them, along with new rails and fuel pulse dampers and rails from radium. The stock fuel pulse damper was not doing a good job, it was overwhelmed by the big 1300X series injectors, once the radium fuel pulse dampers were installed the tuner cleaned up my fuel map and the car idles even better and I think the mileage went up, my driving habits really haven't changed at all, so a combination of cleaner fuel mapping and pulse dampers really helped. I visit the gas station every 240 miles per tank instead of 190-200 miles per tank with the previous tune.

  • @aersoul

    Iwire doesn't suggest 1 big fuel pump but instead 2 smaller fuel pumps to equal the desired flow rate. 1 big pump will start to fry the fuel pump controller due to the load going through the wiring. Smaller pumps will half the amp load while still having the fuel flow for desired goals. That's why the radium dual fuel pump hangar is a good solution for projects that range from mild to wild.

    I bought that kit from Radian a few years ago. The fuel pump fell apart about a day after installing because the epoxy glue wasn't rated for gasoline. Radian customer service was nil. When I went to check it a week later. The all the wire insulation fell off because again it wasn't for use in gasoline. Radian customer service didn't help with that either. I was able to fix everything myself using marine epoxy and proper insulation but I was very disappointed in the products and Radian. I know a lot of people use their products and they work flawless but I for one will never buy another product from them.

    IAG doesn’t make that speed density conversion wiring kit, iWire does.
    Don’t need the IAT pigtail when using the iWire speed density conversion kit.
    Bypass the fuel pump controller altogether and use the factory wiring to trigger an external relay, there’s no need to run the three-stage PWM pump control on a high power engine.

      @@Kingblow69 did not know that's how older cars were but makes sense. About when did fuel pump controllers become popular?

    • @motoiq
      @motoiq  2 года назад +3

      IAG sells it, we have no idea who makes it not that it really matters. I disagree about running a big performance pump full blast all the time, you might overun the regulator if you are running a big pump which will cause tuning issues and you are also causing fuel heating. There is a reason why OEM's have fuel pump controllers, if it wasn't needed, they wouldn't spend the money to use them. A better solution is to use the iWire wiring kit with their controller.
