Dang I’ve got that clutch! It’s sorta heavy.. but can definitely handle the power and is super smooth. It’s also amazing for launches, I can use the clutch to determine how much wheel spin I have depending on how fast I let it out and how much rpm I set my launch control to. Makes for a perfect launch every single time no joke.
How much power are you making? I just smoked my Act stage 2 after a year 🙃 cannot handle the launches apparently. I'm around 400whp and I also semi-daily the car
Super heavy clutches also put extra wear upon the firewall and other parts that interact with the clutch, like clutch fork, pedal box. I know this because I had a stage 2 cermetallic three puck clutch, worst idea ever. I broke some weld points on my firewall, cracked the torque tube on the pedal box assembly, bent my clutch fork, popped the slave and master clutch cylinder on my 2010 WRX. @@DontStopReeling Yes you match your clutch to the torque you are making but when your power requirements require a very high effort clutch is will put lots of stress on the above parts of the clutch system I mentions and the thrust bearings.
