Good luck with the heat, and stay hydrated man! Found a guy out in Carson City who's willing to help me with my engine swap, said he'll charge $1500 labor and do whatever he can get to while he's there for no extra. Also he's offering to let me come hang out, or help out for a day on my build, said he can return my car within about 5 days or so, has a machine shop across the street.
I installed one of these in my 07 STI. I'm glad to see that you just bought it with the two pumps preinstalled. I decided to cheap out and reuse my 340lph and just order the radium hanger with 1 pump. Big mistake. The two pumps are ever so slightly different, and my old 340lph did not fit correctly. This decision to cheap out started a chain reaction of events that led to blowing my head gasket. Also, glad to see that you didn't break any of the fuel hanger studs. Over here in the north east, they always break!
Breaking one of those studs would not be a good time 😖 luckily all the ones I've seen up here have stayed in tact. And I debated buying it without the pumps ore installed but figured for this it would just be a little more simple to just get it with thr pumps for now

@@Smeedia I saw you still used the factory rubber houses from the fuel pump hanger to the hard-lines? Are you planning to replace these with PTFE lines like in the engine bay? i know Radium offers an upgraded Fuel Hanger Plumbing Kit.
I'll end up making my own lined and what not, for now the Oe Rubber lines work for yhr power we are at, but when we do the engine rebuild I'll go back over and swap to a -8 feed and -6 return
I’m installing the radium as well. Had great advice that a hobb switch should be installed on one pump because the return is smaller than the feed and at low end/idle the smaller return will back up and increase the pressure in the rails because the fpr can’t evacuate enough pressure. Making bad drivability
@@Smeedia I’m going true 8 to 6 right now. But at idle am afraid that the injectors will only be using a very small amount so it would back up rather fast I would think. Just something to ponder on. Cool man thanks
Just wondering how AN fittings would fit in that small space as I'm looking to do uprated lines. -8 feed and -6 return and standard crossover
I was able to fit them on my 17 STI (ALSO -8 FEED/ -6 RETURN) tight tight space but you can make them fit
Can you switch out those fittings to AN fittings on the top of the hangar?
Yes you can 🤙
White gummy bear is my jam. Followed closely by cherry limeade
Gummy bear all day 🔥🔥🔥
Is it true that EJs hate Blow off valve
For the most part yes, with a tune they tolerate them better
Hey man do got the hardwire install for the dual pump?
ruclips.net/video/_JXcWmgO2dw/видео.html 🙏🙏
Thanks man your the best! 🔥 hey im missing your VA 🔥
I too am missing my VA 🥺🥺🥺
I work in that weather all day in attics and outside.
RIP stay cool my dude 🙏🥶
@@Smeedia my poor 04 FXT wants to stay cool too lol. Im gonna pretty much do what your doing but in a forester.
Very random but do have a S21 ultra with a Spigen case?
S20 Ultra with an otter box 😅 why? Lol
@@Smeedia Lol I have a S21 ultra with a Spigen case, as you was looking at your phone, I'm watching with mine and it looked 100% the same!
Lol almost twinning 😅😅😅
@@Smeedia 👍👍 😆🤣😂 Your smashing this content btw mate
Eyyyy, appreciate it my friend!
Stay cool everyone
🥵🥵🥵
Florida here... yup it SUCKS to work on my car in the summer. It actually it really doesn't happened I just look at it and go back inside the house. 🙄
How's the weather in the winter?
Depends in what part of Florida you are. North gets some freezing conditions, Central gets cold with some frost here and there. South just cool. Of course it all depends what kind of Floridian you ask. 🤣. But winter time is the only time I do heavy work on my car, 2hr+ part installations... summer nope not happening...
are you not concerned with having exposed wires in your fuel tank tho?
Gasoline has a low conductivity so not overly, most electrical connections can withstand fuel
Just ordered a Radium FPR... my base pressure is at 60psi after the AEM 340LPH pump, I'm hoping it's causing my very rich condition (-25% STFT) I've been fighting for months...
Not a bad FPR, but the pump shouldn't mKe fuel pressure spike like that
Whats the car?
@@Smeedia 2008 WRX hatch. Car side top black fuel hard line (pressure) to top line on engine, lower fuel line comes out through the stock regulator then back into the grey line to return to tank? Is what I'm working with. Pulled the vacuum line on stock regulator, went up to 62psi O.o
Slight bit of irony, remarking on the pnw undoubtedly unnatural mega heat wave while installing the massive petrol system to feed a 600hp street legal race car haha. Not that I'm any different
U don’t I have to put the sender unit on after you put it in the tank. I don’t know why they tell you to do that because it can go in no problem while it is on there. I do it all the time.
How do you install hobb switch for the second fuel pump?
What happens if you did run both fuel pumps before you needed all that fuel
May tun into idle issues with the FPR being over powered but aside from testing really
Yes the Radium fuel ⛽️ pump set up should be fantastic for “ish” power levels. 🤣🤣
All of our upcoming mystery Ish power 😅🔥
🐐
❤❤❤
Why do you turn into scotty kilmer at 4:24 ....
How'd I do for my impersonation? 10/10?
**touches intercooler**
Yup this car has a misfire 🤣
Bravo 👏👏👏
Tanner has def been watching MCM making questionable statements in tight and close quarters...
Keep on keeping on!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bro I need to install my new AOS but it’s death outside
Lol ohhhhhhh I know, did the fuel pump yesterday and that shit was spicey out 😅 10/10 suggest waiting until it cools down a bit
@@Smeedia my goal is Tuesday, hopefully up at the mod garage because my driveway is a gravel mountain of doom
Get ittttt, I'll be up there tomorrow once everything cools down 😅
Unless u r using the oem fuel line. Then it would be -6
🙏🙏🙏
Your trunk opens that easily?? My seals suck the living hell out of that trunk lid. The back seats......I've wanted to remove them and find some kind of overlay in CF or something so the bare frame doesn't show.
I've seen some diversionary panels that are CF and Aluminium but they're a little $$$ 😅
@@Smeedia from what I've seen, it's probably cheaper and better to try and fabricate something myself, but out of what I have no clue. And also, RiP to Matt's toes
I have this setup and my fuel pump will stay on after I take the key out 😅
How many subarus have yo owned?
20+ 😅 between STIs, WRXs, Foresters, XTs, BRZs, FRS etc
What does this thing exactly do??
Allow you to run 2 fuel pumps 💪
@@Smeedia oh ok so more fuel more Powa? Or more fuel longer range in car? Explain to me monke brotha
Stanky leg to Darth Vader, lol I love it.
Lol the thought process goes all over the place 😅😅😅
Did you drop fuel pressure prior to this install? Or just went ham on it? Lol
Just went ham 😅
