- The 2022 Toyota GR86 & Subaru BRZ haven't been out too long, but there are already tons of different body kit (widebody & lip kit) options to choose from. Everything from a full on wide body HKS, Pandem Rocket Bunny, Artisan Spirits, Streethunter, Adro kit to a simple STI, TRD, or Aimgain lip kit! We go through all the different kits available and rank them on a scale of S to F!

Can you also make a video like this for the previous gen FR-S, BRZ and 86 cause I wanna see your opinion on both the karma body kits and the most recent kit makes it look like a LFA in my opinion cause the headlights are a similar design and also designed around the same time

Agreed! There are some slick kits for the FRS/BRZ. My all-time favorite was the Toyota "Aero" Package/ Nur Spec. It looked soooooo good!!

Kevin! I know it's not released yet but there have been more and more photos popping up of the new Varis kit for this that is time-attack focused and much bigger and wider than what they made so far. You would need a new category way up top for this one though because its SO COOL. Releasing at Tokyo Auto Salon 2023.

The pandem kit is my favorite. I think it doesn't quite look good for a street car, but for a drift car, that is perfection. I see a lot of pandem GR86 drift cars on D1GP and FD, and they look so good.
My favorite is the Verus by far. Beauty is IN functionality…as far as eye know, the Verus kit would be the fastest on track compared to everything else.
Simple function design is the best IMO.

I feel like Result Japan is being very underrated in the BRZ/gr86 space, they are definitely putting up some nice aero pieces in comparison to some of these other kits
I like these videos as well as the wrench videos. The Adro kit is my favorite because like you said Lambo-esque vibes, but i agree that i am hesitant because of the exposed hardware. I like the front splitter from Verus, idk why but the rods make this car look more aggressive.
It seems to me that I prefer the factory look. They designed it really well. And I prefer factory look over any of the kits. If anything I just like the front lip being lowered like you did originally to yours. If I were to mod the front, that lip is what I would want. It looks like it's meant to be
Does body kit include taillight kit? Can you actually change your taillight? I want a Nissan GTR taillight design instead. Would look so sick!
There's definitely a lot of close but no cigar kits tbh. But I agree, I'm doing subtle body mods like Carbon Fiber replacements of the plastic stuff👌

Just a small correction, the AeroFlow Dynamics shown in the video is powder coated metal and they have a few different designs to include Front Splitters, side skirts, spats, rear diffusers along with some variations. But thumbs up on your video!
Artisan Spirits widebody is my favorite! So much so I put in a order 2 weeks ago from Evasive! If subaru made an sti version this would be the kit I’d like to see on it!

I have a bagged widebody FRS with the Ralleybacker V2 and it is by far my favorite! I used to have the Rocket Bunny V1 first.

@@KevinVo Indeed though if I wanted a kit for street/Daily Driving only it would be the Varis for sure. The Widebody Artisan Spirits is perfect for track when you need those nice wide tires but this is my personal opinion of course..

I didn't realized there were this many! The artesian widebody is automatically my favorite now I liked the adro kit but didn't like that it showed the hardware
There are so many options! Even more that I missed!
My favorite is the artisan spirits widebody kit… but in the photos it’s missing the complete splitter pieces (front, side and rear), unless that’s the Greddy’s version that adds those splitters to the artisan spirits kit. I also like the pandem, hks and Liberty walk kits as well.
I have Tom's front and side diffuser, they look and fit in well with the car. Wasn't a fan of the rear and went with a Grow Motorsports rear diffuser that I love.
Im a bit late, but gotta say, I do quite like these kinds of videos! Nice to hear your taste, I agree with a lot of it. Aero Flow Dynamics is a well known name and you see their stuff on every GR86, but I just can't get behind it. It looks cheap.
Robot craftsman has a “shinning” wide body kit with a couple different options it’s a unique look and most likely what I’ll end up getting for mine

Check out Noblesse kit as well. It's got the winglets you don't like lol, but it's subtle with a good flow.
You forget the very interesting Seibon, Exceed kit and the new Voltex Racing kit with Bumper Replacement. 😊. They look very nice as well. 👌🏼👌🏼

I really like the APR, I think that full kit with the Pandem wing would be how I would go.

@@alfarooqaljanabi1965 the APR kit is right in between an A and a B for me. I like the sideskirts and the simple rear spats. The front lip has the endplates, but idk if they actually designed those to be functional. B+
Artisan wide-body is just awesome, but the new voltex one they showed on TAS? Damn, not sure which one I would pick now :D

Pretty good list. For me personally, I think they're all just making the car slightly too complicated. Stock looks best by far and if I had to pick a kit it would be verus or hks.
The Varis kit seen in Albo’s Tokyo Auto Salon video for the 2022 Toyota GR 86 is the most beautiful thing I’ve EVER seen! The price however is horrendous.
JDM parts are so expensive 😫
I love the factory body. If I get any aero it’ll be a mild lip.
The SARD kit looks like something off need for speed underground 2. Which is why I LOVE IT!! 😂

I like the non wide body HKS kit the best but I agree with you, either go wing or spoiler not both. I also liked the wide body version but I’m not looking to go wide and I wish it didn’t show the hardware. One you didn’t show that’s a little different is the jdm version of the sti kit. The only difference vs the US version is the side vent and wing but I like it better than what we got here.
I agree, the JDM vent accents are better than USDM spec.

I hope that toyota starts selling the gr86 cup car bodykit it is amazing with the front lip, vented hood and wing
I believe the wing is an APR wing. As for the vented hood, Verus Engineering makes a similar vent. I do like the front lip and splitter they designed.
Would love to see a greddy/voltex lip kit install on ur gr86

i didnt like the new gr86/brz until i saw the HKS kit as well. its probably one big reason why i'm driving the car today.

you missed the APR lip kit, that one flows really well imo. also the artisan body wide body is my fav out of all wide kits super clean and sleek

The BRZ GT300 race car is my favorite, but the kit is unobtainium. All I know is that I will be buying Verus undertray panels for my GR86 down the line to improve the aero.

I agree that Artisan's quad tip looks weird and out place, but the Tom's quad tip i actually I may put it on my GR

Really wanting to get the Aimgain side skirts, not a fan of a lot of the winglets and fins a fair few of the body kits have for the chassis.

I have the ADRO carbon fiber non widebody kit on my GR86 and I get a lot of positive compliments. I agree, the front may come off a bit crab like but my zodiac is the crab so I guess I’m ok with it 😆 I’m actually looking to swap out to the ADRO widebody… but yeah, the exposed mounting hardware take away from the overall look. I find their pricing a bit more affordable for the type of design and carbon fiber.
You not liking the SARD tail lights hurts my soul lmao
But I guess I can look at it as a positive cause I’ll be one of the few ones to rock em !

Been collecting them throughout the years through manufacturers that send them out from time to time. I have also made some boards of my FRS. May be something I offer in the future!

I don't think there is an alternative to the Max Orido kit. It's such a good looking kit!
The new Voltex Kit thats being released for Tokyo Auto Salon would be my choice for sure.

They're boards from Mackin Industries that they sent out to vendors on occasion. I've been collecting throughout the years and then I have one of my car.
My Favorite by has been the artisan spirits kit, however the installation of the kit was a bit of an obstacle

Do you have something against the Results Japan lip kit? I know a lot of people like their spoiler. I really like the rear defuser they have.
Nothing against it at all! I just didn't happen to remember to add it to my list. I think I missed quite a few actually.

Yes, but how many of these kits actually went through the process of designing the endplates to do that? Did they take the time to do CFD or wind tunnel testing?
@@KevinVo Well, that's probably something that you could have checked out before suggesting they serve no purpose. I think it is an important point to consider before buying a kit.

That's a difficult one. I've heard a lot of exhausts, but there are also exhausts that I have not heard and it's hard to find good exhaust videos to reference for a lot of exhausts.

Hey guys I need help am really confused about all the new gr 86. So Toyota build 3 versions for the GR86 THE BASE VERSION ; THE PREMIUM VERSION AND THE 10 ANNIVERSARY VERSION right the 10 anniversary version have only 860 cars worldwide right now my question is can you buy a gr 86 ?

By all means get it. Don't let some random on the internet tell you what to like. Just because he isn't a fan doesn't mean it looks bad
It's just my opinion so don't let it deter you from getting what you like. If we all liked the same thing our cars would be the same and boring! What makes modifying cars fun is the fact that you're able to do what you want with it. Who cares what others think as long as you're happy with it!
It's just his opinion lol. You should get it if you like it. I have the front and sides and they are great, wasn't a fan of the rear though, got something else for that.
