Hey Kevin, great video! I've been really enjoying your channel and I'm planning to add some carbon fiber interior pieces to my GR86 soon. One thing I'd love to see made for the GR86 is a thin, soft pad that could be stuck onto the plastic pillar where the seat belt rests when it's not in use. Every time I take off my seatbelt, the buckle goes flying back and hits the plastic. I still have the protective plastic on it for now and can see all kinds of little impact dings from the buckle hitting it. I'm not sure how anyone else would feel about that, but I just think it would be a great little thing to have to save the plastic from getting dinged up over time.
For the carbon body side vents do you need to remove that trim piece off the car for install or does it just slide into place with some 3m? Thanks in advance
I have the AlphaRexx trunk light on my car and it sometimes has dead-spots in the lighting. It tends to happen randomly but that is what probably happened here but on the tail light.
Hachi Electronics is goated. Happy to see them featured on someone so big's video for the platform/community. I have probably 4 different plug and play kits from hachi lol, amazing product.
A new indoor/outdoor AC unit set me back about a year to get my own GR86, but the more I wait the more awesome upgrades become available for this little demon of a car.
I got some of the interior carbon fiber covers and I'm having trouble making the items stick. Do you have any suggestions? I've wiped the areas with alcohol and reinforced the adhesive and it still won't adhere
I’ve got a video up on my channel (and on the product page for the mirrors) if you’d like to take a peek prior to Kevin’s video coming out. I’m sure his will be better though lol, I am not cut out for youtubing.
hey kevin vo I ordered the same tail lights as you for my gr86 and I have had them for about a month and a half and my passenger side is dim and does not animate the whole way, I noticed yours seems to be doing the same thing? im sending my back to be inspected and replaced, but I hope this isnt a common issue
any suggestions for front license plate bracket to mount low instead of factory holes that put the plate smack dab in the middle of the front? I have looked into the ones that go into the tow hook thread but that piece takes part of the black grille with it when removed.
I got free shipping for being one of the first ten to order the Harrop kit. Waiting on funds for internals. Wonder if you think the HKS stroker kit is a waist of money. Do you still plan to make the HIREV sports overlays? How often do you run E85? What kind of limitations do you keep in mind when not using E85 on a boosted 86? Thank you.
it's difficult to tell from the pics on the websites.... I'm thinking of getting the AlphRex LUXX-series Alpha-Black. It looks like the CBR or CBW Renegade would match closest, but I can't tell for sure which would look the more consistent
9:54 So, my BRZ is GCC-spec (gulf spec, middle east cus that's where I live right now), and the GCC spec cars are basically LHD JDM cars, because they come with most of the JDM wiring and stuff. I don't think our cars has this functionality though but now I wanna find out.
Another idea for a product, I havent seen anywhere else... Knee pads. You can get ones only for center console (both driver and pass side), but nobody yet made pads for driver door. Gen1 cars have them but speakers in them are round, and in gen2 speaker trim is rectangular-ish.
Am i not seeing the carbon fiber door handle covers correctly on your links? The link takes me to a page that show's..."something", it doesn't look like a door handle cover at all, it's something interior, not exterior, and the price is outrageous for whatever it is. What is the actual link to the exterior door handle carbon fiber covers?
That was the wrong link. That was the inner door handle trim which is a much larger piece. I've updated the link to the correct exterior door handle covers now. www.driven.media/shop/p/22-gr86brz-carbon-fiber-door-handle-covers
How does the Harrop supercharger compare to the Sprintex supercharger? I was looking into the sprintex one before this video (Or HKS for a turbo option)
@christopherchase8405 oh ok, What makes it the least efficient? They both push about 300. I just started my search in forced induction and haven't gotten deep deep Into it. But id love someone else's opinion
why would I put a storage tray on top of my matte/forged carbon dash overlay?? neat pieces but they don't compliment one another. wish you could "dry" each piece when there are choices (i.e. dash cover) to show how it would look in/on the car, then install your choice....thanks for the all of the discount codes.
I want some advice I got a rock ding/chip in my side skirt and door 😢. You have an email I can send a photo to and see if you can think of anything that would help mod wise?
The side body vents are awesome considering you dont have to disassemble them. After learning the process of taking them off and replacing them, I said hell no. Cant wait for my Driven ones to come in.
Sichuan cooking is an essential part of any quality GR86 build. I make sure to cook a batch of Laziji any time I build an auto-folding mirror kit so that it can be infused with the proper flavors.
Okay so I have 23 gr86 7000 miles and Everytime I’m breaking to come to a stop there’s a click from the shifter and a click when the cars in park and I press the brake also from the shifter can someone help
I don’t know if Kevin plans on making an install video, and I’ve been too lazy and/or busy to make one myself, but this video shows the process of swapping the turn signal stalk pretty well. ruclips.net/video/Veu_Pr4cFuY/видео.html
I really want to see a review of the Harrop Supercharger. Nothing really on the web. The fit and finish look amazing and I am sure the drivability is significantly better. However there is basically no reviews.
No offence, but those door handle covers covering the key hole is a shit idea. If the battery is flat it is the only way to open your bonnet is to use the key hole and the manual key to get inside. Since these cars are commonly not daily driven, the battery can go flat as soon as 2 weeks on a brand new car. Its happened to me twice and I had to use the key hole to access the engine battery. Just saying. That’s a huge oversight.
I love when Kevin tells me how to spend my money each month
but at least he provides discount codes in the descriptions so you're not spending more than necessary........
😂
I am 2 weeks out from getting my car, but I already have a long list of mods thanks to this channel
Drop the google doc list 👀
Thanks for the shoutout, Kevin!
Community appreciates what you do. Or I do anyway.
I literally just said "wish we got the JDM folding mirrors" and opened my phone to this. Thank you.

Have this exact same issue. Would love to see this mod as well.
@Kevin Vo
Looks like your passenger side tail light isn't lighting up all the way
Noticed the same! Good looks
For the carbon body side vents do you need to remove that trim piece off the car for install or does it just slide into place with some 3m? Thanks in advance
No need to remove them. Super easy install with the garnish still on the car. Just make sure it's clean and they double side tape into place.
@@KevinVo thx Kevin.
@@KevinVo bugger... must have sold out quick. Was looking to grab the matte carbon ones :( next time.
Didn't know about driven media until seeing STI Alan s video!
kevin you the only gr86 doctor i can watch without worrying what to do

Please restock the wide angle heated mirrors!
Awesome seeing you featuring Hachi Electronics! Been following the forums for a while now on the forums it’s awesome seeing something mainstreamed!
I swear it's Christmas everytime I see these videos
Been waiting for a new 86 video. Never disappoints!

Someone got a tan
Haha, exactly what I was gonna say. Spray tan central.
Why did you remove the carbon fiber hood on the 86?
Hell yeah, get all that Hachi Electronics goodness!
A new indoor/outdoor AC unit set me back about a year to get my own GR86, but the more I wait the more awesome upgrades become available for this little demon of a car.
Any chance these will be replacement parts as opposed to covers? I'm not a fan of the 3m tape on method.
I got some of the interior carbon fiber covers and I'm having trouble making the items stick. Do you have any suggestions? I've wiped the areas with alcohol and reinforced the adhesive and it still won't adhere
Send me an email at info@driven.media and I'll get you taken care of!
what exhaust you got on your car?
I've waited so long for the JDM folding mirror!!! gotta wait for your tutorial video before I order them tho...

Man this 86 is beautiful
Can I put in a request for some kind of cover for the *interior* door handles?
👍
Must deinstall the vents for the Cover ?
