I agree with you and am totally against on what they have done. First and foremost, they reduced the structural rigidity of the car by removing that crash bar Because that crash bar holds both ends of the chassis together. Secondly, if there is an accident, things could get bad pretty quickly. One problem they would face with trying to use the factory crash bar is that the front bumper is so much open from the front that the crashbar will show. Where the crashbar is supposed to be to sit, there is no material on the bumper to hide it. If the opening was a bit less extreme, they could have modified the crashbar, like i’ve done on mine, keep it OEM + and most importantly much safer!
Any young people watching and modifying their car please be aware that if you remove your crash bar like this and you get into an accident there are many many insurance company's that will not cover the damage if you purposely remove factory crash structure , it's also dumb because even a small front end crash all those aftermarket parts you just spent money on the intercooler and turbo etc will be crushed because there is now no protection. Those crash bars seem silly and in the way but they offer a lot of protection

It’s not as bad as you’d think my current sti makes close to 600 to the wheels with no crash bar, my previous wrx made 450 no crash bar and I got into a front end collision close to 35mph and walked away with out a scratch. Definitely not as safe but if you cared about safety that much you wouldn’t modify a car to go faster lol

on Gen 1 in South Africa. I did a sump clean. Worms for lunch. Then they did a recall to replace the valve springs. Guess what. I needed to do a sump clean 1 month later as there were more worms for lunch. Everytime they take something apart they use tooooo much RTV to reassemble.

If you thought Anthony had heat ztroke though, you should have guven him warm water, then place ice on his chest and crotch. Avoid the neck, head and under the arms. The intercooler if mounted properly will provide some structure. You’ll need to be going pretty fast to really get messed up. Unequal length headers on a car that came with an equal length header just for sound is stupid and will always affect performance. I love the subie rumble but my WRX came with a equal length from factory and going to unequal has been proven to make less power.
Most crash bars especially on small vehicles are only rated from 10mph to 25 mph impact, anything beyond that your crash bumper does little to nothing. Back in the 90s and early 2000 it was common place to extremely modifiy or remove the crash bar to fit a large intercooler. How many accidents have you all had to be so worried avout a 20 mph impact bumper? 😂
If ypu remove ylur front crash bars z d get in an accident, Your insurance will deny your claims. So that is quite dangerous and stupid. That's called removal of factory safety equipment and will deny your claim. Hope you are paying this customer's lawsuit!
