      @@haifai3916 I mean it’s a 30k car gotta keep that in mind. The only problem with the motor is the oil pickup / pressure issue which can probably be fixed altogether with a properly designed baffle. Plus it’s got better compression than the last generation should easily be able handle some boost up to 350 hpr. I’m already buying the car so I’m willing to take the chance and fix the issue with after market support

      An oil cooler is the absolute minimum. We've had a lot of luck with the standard rad and fans in the 2L cars and the 2.4L shouldn't be any different. A vented bonnet would also be a good consideration if you're doing a lot of track time.

    • @racefix
      @racefix Год назад +6

      Superchargers proved to be fairly inefficient on the 2L, what makes you think it will be any different on the 2.4? Modern day turbos have very little lag and turbo setups produce far more torque and power than supercharger setups with less strain on the motor. Whats not to like?

    • @racefix
      @racefix 8 месяцев назад

      @@kresnik_ss That is simply untrue... Boost on a modern ball bearing turbo with efficient wheels on a high comp engine does not come on late like a freight train like a 90's journal bearing turbo would. With electronic boost control we can ramp the boost in by RPM too so we can literally bring the boost and torque in like a supercharger, not convince why you would want that though. If you're et on supercharging w can also supply, fit and tune Harrop supercharger kits :)

      I gained 35 hp with custom tune so it’s at 235 at wheels. Delicious tuning kit with Ecutek using local tuner. Will be adding the JDL turbo kit next and keep boost low. I’ll try to keep it under 320 hp to keep stock clutch. I only have cat back exhaust and intake and should have upgraded header and front pipe because the e85 tune magnified the torque dip 3-4.5k rpm. 2nd gen still needs a better header when adding more power.
