Miranda I noticed that you point your toes when you do your kicks. Is it important to point your toes or can you just kick? Or would you even say to do heel kick?
When we point the toe during the kicks, it stretches and works the mobility of the shin (where we are often tight) and it helps engage the muscles of the entire leg (the whole chain up into the thighs). We want to point the toe and lengthen the whole leg away from the body to make this a strengthening exercise. Hope that helps!

@@flamingpieherman9822 I used to watch her as well on PBS I even still have her taped on my tape cassettes because I was running around watching kids and I didn't want to miss her. I couldn't remember the name of the show because I misplaced those tapes and recently found them and I'm so so so happy to have found her here on RUclips and doing well. I've tried to explain her to others too. I love her exercises because it Blends yoga with ballet and the stretches feel so wonderful. =D
