I'm going to defend Sam Howell a little bit. The kid got the shit kicked out of him because that O-line was literally the worst in the league, and Bienemy doesn't believe in running the ball to take pressure off the QB.
I thought Howell showed some decent play on the field last year, guess that's why he will be headed for a career of backing up. Not a bad gig actually.
Dude Sam will literally hold the ball for like 10 seconds causing the sacks. His oline played average but he made them loook terrible because he will hold on to the ball for so long. In the NFL you have 4 seconds top to throw the ball away.
Purdy being drafted last overall and seeing him became the QB he is today whilst other QBs on this list going in the 1st round, just proves all the combine nonsense, mock drafts, pro days, analysis etc is just a load of tripe
Yes, let’s take the outlier as an example and now declare all analysis as “bad”. That makes no sense. What about the other of hundreds players drafted? Question, does draft analysis include the teams developmental ability?
4:45: Sam Howell is most remembered for being sacked 65 times in 2023, with 51 occurring in the first 11 games. This had him on pace to set an all time season record. The offensive was pitiful which had to make him gun shy, but he also had the habit of holding onto the ball too long.
Most quarterback didn’t have much of a chance Kenny Pickett and Ridder had chances but players like Malik Willis and Sam Howell are more project QBs especially Malik but there was the commitment to them
I was looking heavy at QBs the year before this one and really liked Purdy then. When he didn't declare and went back for another year I made a note to try and keep track of him, but forgot to.
Going into the draft, everyone knew that it was a subpar class, and surprisingly, teams drafted like it was. In a normal year, someone would have made Malik Willis the Trey Lance of the draft and overdraft him, but he dropped to the 3rd round. Still pretty shocked Sam Howell dropped to the 5th round. I thought he should have gone in the 3rd and was really hoping my team picked him in the 4th. There is also a lot of "situation matters" in this as well. Pickett had the misfortune of being in a Matt Canada offense, so we probably never saw the best out of Pickett. Corral got hurt in his first preseason, then everything changed in the org and there was no place for him. Howell got his opportunity, but it was hardly ideal. Meanwhile, Purdy went to the perfect situation for him.
Nobody thought Lance would immediately drop from injury, but as soon as he did, some people felt Purdy would have his shot because Jimmy G had gotten season ending injuries before. And Purdy delivered when he did start.
Purdy isn’t bad, but he’s not great either. just a Jimmy G type QB that won’t screw up that much. But he’ll never win the game for you. It’s the modern Niners curse, they’ll have great teams, but never a great QB, which is why they lost their last 3 super bowls.
you mean 7th and 5th??? everyone else who was drafted in 7th other than purdy is complete ass sam howell is the 2nd best by far and still has very good starter potential
The craziest thing is, look at every QBs left hand placement, close hand (low/no accuracy) Malik Willis, hand completely open (a lot of inconsistent and overshot balls) Desmond Ridder, and Hand even too the jaw and chest, as if you’re tying to cut the air in half (a lot more accuracy and better ball control/placement) Brock Purdy.
@@antcantcook960 no it’s part of QB mechanics. So is pointing them toes and throwing with your hips, but hey. What do I know. Just a passionate football lover here. Nothing to crazy
The draft has always been a crap shoot. For every Peyton Manning there’s a Ryan Leaf. Joe Montana was a 3rd round pick, and we all know about Tom Brady.
2007 still stands as the worst QB class of all time. It was literally headlined by JaMarcus Russell; that says everything you need to know about THAT QB class.
Your video is right on but I do believe that Sam can still but when Matt Carol was drafted by my team I was rooting for him every time he would play for my team he would just act like he is nervous but his attitude is bad💯
Not sure how you can say that about Sam Howell. I believe he can still play and does have that IT factor. His last season at UNC who did he have to throw to? I'll answer: NO ONE. In fact, I remember him running a lot. Check the season before when he had weapons to throw to. As far as his time with the Commanders, Riverboat Ron was so out of it, he didn't know whether he was coming or going and Eric Beinemy was a joke at OC and did a disservice to Sam. If Sam gets with the right OC and QB Coach who can fully utilize his talents he will definitely shine. Don't give up on him yet.
It seems that there have been a lot of quarterbacks coming out of college that have just not done well in the NFL in recent years. This has led me to wonder if it is that the quarterbacks are really bad or is it that the NFL has just become more impatient. It use to be that it was said that it takes about 5 years for a quarterback to develop in the NFL but now it seems teams are giving up after 1 or 2 years.
Howell is the only one I can see ever becoming a starter/bridge qb like a Gardner Minshew. If you watched Washington games you know their defense couldn’t stop a fly and they resorted to abandoning the run and airing it out pretty much every game. No rookie qb could be successful in that situation.
To be fair aside from Purdy, most of these guys were drafted into horrible situations. Of all these guys, I think Howell still has the potential to become a quality NFL starter. There’s a lot of context that goes into why his season went the way it did, and now he’s going to a far better situation.
Purdy is just better than your QB. He's the most efficient QB in the NFL right now. Other systems let guys have 500+ attempts. Purdy isn't even given 450 attempts yet he still puts up more yards, more touchdowns, and more wins than your QBs. He shouldn't be putting up these numbers in this system. He's outpacing it by a long shot. Cry harder.
@@renaldoawes2210 When did I say any of those guys would be better than Purdy? Purdy is legit, but he was also drafted to a great team, both can be true. I ain't comparing Howell to him, all I said was Howell can be good. Is that really a bold statement? He had some good games last year and is going to a significantly better team. I don't give a damn about whose better, just that more than one QB in this class can work out.
The third round can hold incredible value and for ur pick to essentially have the same production level as a walk on player is bad. I would consider it a bust
As a lifetime Broncos fan from the very beginning----------1961-------I was really hoping we'd get Sam Howell. I watched how well he played against us & I thought there just might be real potential there. HOWEVER, on seeing how the rest of the season went for him, I've come to heave an enormous sigh of relief that The Payton / Paton passed on him. As of now, that 3rd Rd pick is our only Day 2 pick, & we need it . So-----------at this point--------it's Ryan Tannehill, or The Draft. I like Tannehill, but I'm guessing his agent wants way---------WAY --------too much for even a 1 yr deal. So, as of now, it's Stidham & The Nooch ; that's it. Personally, I don't want our team moving up too far if at all. McCarthy is now, out of reach . Drake Maye might fall, but of he does, The Vikings or The Raiders might move on him. if so, so be it. I like him, but I see a lot of work needed to clean him up. Michael Penix jr for me, just has Raiders Black & White all over him. And, he could be, scary good. For us however, Bo Nix should be who we target. I don't see another Elway in him, but I do see another possible Jake Plummer, a Broncos QB, I absolutely loved, & just hated to see end his career with that hip injury. Jake didn't have an Elway or Jay Cutler arm, but he could move, played smart, & his teammates loved him. He brought the team sooo close to The AFC Championship, & who knows what could have happened had he stayed healthy ? I see a lot of those traits in Bo Nix. So---------whatever we need to do to get Bo, I think we need to do it. We may regret passing on Penix if we do. Maybe, we take him ? Possibly, but I see an inevitability of The Raiders, with him, & Nix, with us. We'll see. I just don't want us to make a fatal error by once again giving up draft capital----------which to date, has cost us dearly !! ---------to get McCarthy. We have only1, maybe 2 players, any team would want : PS2, & Quinn Meiners. And I just can't see Payton / Paton, being that reckless. And for me, I see McCarthy & Maye as the 2 with the highest BUST potential ; one, McCarthy, because he is way over-hyped, & the other, Maye, because I see Drew Lock the 2nd . Remember, Lock too, had size, arm, mobility, & the numbers. What he DID NOT HAVE , & still does not, is footwork, & processing . In his time in Denver, Lock was THE most frustrating QB I have ever seen in Broncos Orange & Blue ! And maybe I'm wrong, but I see Lock # 2, in Drake Maye. Now, maybe, I'm FOS . But, what if I am not ?-------MJL, 77 y/o
As a patriots fan, Bailey Zappe is actually pretty good as a starter, I like him better than Mac Jones. The only problem is he’s not consistent, he flatlines at times.
2022's Quarterback draft really made a statement that Quarterbacks need the right people around them to succeed, not the other way around and we saw it continue into 2023. Purdy succeeded where everyone else in this draft failed because he got slotted into a Kyle Shanahan offense that frankly didn't care who was at QB. I could go in depth into that by making a comment of Darnold's lone start but this matters less. The only other QB from this draft class that played in a playoff game is the one that got to play for the scary Dolphins offense, who we got to see in full dominance at the start of this past season, especially in that Broncos game. Skylar did not play well in his two games and showed us exactly why he deserved the late round pick. But they people that did start games? Howell was behind an offensive line that was so bad that the moment they tried to bench Howell, the backup QB got injured making it impossible to start Brissett over Howell, Ridder played with a coach who was allergic to actually making a game plan around first round picks (and he also didn't play well and may have shown that he was over drafted as a day 2 QB), and as for Pickett, he played with WRs who went to the Antonio Brown school of maturity. We also have Zappe but I really can't explain everything that went down there. When I say this continued into 2023, we look at the difference between Bryce Young and Stroud, where one QB went to a trainwreck of an organization that traded their QB's only receiver to get him and the other went to a team with a new coach who got him a nice receiving core to mesh well. And this team had been building up thanks to a bad trade from the Browns. The system means more than the QB.
So you're telling me that Chris Oladokun got a bench warmer Superbowl ring but Purdy is the best out of this draft class? Oladokun is so good, he doesn't even have to play to win a Superbowl. 🤣
I really like Sam Howell, dude was killing it earlier in the season, wasnt lighting it up, but threw a few 300+ yard gamed and i think a couple 3+ TDs. It just seemed the team around him gave up and as a result his numbers dropped.
It's called coaching ad team culture. I am sure if Trey Lamce were to be drafted by the Panthers he would be gone by now. It's not what talent you get, It's how you utilize the talent.
He has a strong arm and can run a bit. Can’t process, can’t read defenses, can’t get the ball out on time, panics in the pocket. He’s never shown any improvement so far
The thing is most of those guys were 5th year seniors so what we have seen from them is what we get in the nfl, which means their ceiling wasnt that high
No way you can discount Howell yet. Dude threw for over 3900 yards in his first season with 21 TDs. Thats impressive by itself. What he needs to do is cut down on all those picks. But dont pretend that the guy didnt "do anything" in his first season.
Processing, character, 10 yard split, football IQ traits have been neglected in scouting community and too much credit us given to a huge arm, and physical traits alone.
What about the 2021 class 4 of the 5 QBs drafted in the first round have already been traded from the teams that drafted them. Never mind the garbage QBs that were draft post round 1? Even the 1 QB who’s been somewhat successful has vastly underperformed and underachieved as the #1 pick and supposedly the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning and possibly ever to come into the NFL.
Crazy thing is I saw mock draft from paid professionals that had Malik Willis going in the first half of the first round saying that you bench him for his first year and he’d be a star in the future
How did all these draft "experts" miss out on Brock Purdy and rank all these scrubs above him? I think a review of the 2017 NFL Draft QB class would be interesting to see!
I think you’re not giving the sf system and team it’s due credit. The team is so good and solid all around it would let whatever young player filled the qb spot the unique chance to play and naturally develop without having to be the main reason the team wins like most first round qbs.
@PlayerJay425 While true, Purdy has a great team. Purdy still has to play great football to make it the NFCCG twice & an SB appearance. Then you got SB champions confused why Purdy was selected last. So both are true.
Sure he has a great coach and. system. So does Mahommes. Purdy has won 5 playoff games already and gone to the superbowl. He literally led the league in nearly every QB stat and threw for 31 TD. That is insane for his first full year as a starter. This is not just the system. You arent plugging any QB in and having that success, hello, trey lance. Purdy is truly special. You only had to watch his college tape to see that. The scouts fucked it up big time just due to lame size standards. @@PlayerJay425
@@PlayerJay425I mean yes, they have a fantastic system with great players. But the QB still needs to execute regardless of talent around him, no? They quickly pivoted from Trey Lance.
Sam Howell is going to shine in Seattle. What that organization does with QB's and elevates their game is quite impressive. Drew Lock even looked much better and settled down under Seattle. Geno vs Howell will be a solid competition but wouldn't surprise me if Howell learns a ton under Geno year 1 and then can start for Seahawks in year 2.
I'm guessing the Stans defending any of these QBs (outside Purdy) are probably hardcore fans of whatever college they went to. Seen it first hand in Pittsburgh with Kenny Stans. Dude played 17 years at Pitt, had one great year, got over drafted, played horribly, and some acted like people were hating on the next Tom Brady. People called into radio shows saying the Eagles "fleeced" the Steelers, and Pickett will replace Hurts before the season even starts.
Corral went to about the worst possible situation, and Pickett showed the hazard of that sixth COVID year. He probably would’ve been a sixth or seventh rounder in another year. He did make himself some money. He was just maxed out.
Interesting set of draft choices. Should Brock Purdy go on to have a successful career as 'Mr Irrevevant made good", they will all 'loom large in his legend.'
which transfer QBs do you feel will improve their draft stock the most this upcoming season??... example, TVD at Wisconsin...I think Sam Howell to the Seahawks is a low-key sneaky pickup for the Seahawks. Howell was put in a TERRIBLE spot early in his career. At minimum i think he will be a really solid backup QB with a chance to start maybe, all depends on what he shows.
I just watched whole video good stuff man yea I'm Pittsburgh fan and people talk about 2021 draft but 2022 draft was worse I think fields can still be big play qb was shocked Pickett wanted go eagles keep movies comming
I wanna see Howell get another chance. That commanders oline was trash and they started trading away players mid season for a rebuild. Idk if he’ll ever be a starter, but I think it’s worth giving him a second look if he’s able to start any games with Seattle. The dude showed a lot of toughness with how many sacks he was taking (some are definitely on him, but his line didn’t help very much), plus he could put up good yardage. Idk he just didn’t seem like a bust, just like an inexperienced player on a subpar team.
This gives you an idea how completely dysfunctional the Patriots' coaching & front office have become. A QB desperate to save his brief NFL career spends a few days in the building, then walks away without a word. He didn't even want on the practice squad. He'd rather waste away in the USFL.
The qb bubble is going tonburst reaaaaal soon with all the over hype and the first team to not over invest but still be crazy successful will set the tone. Was hoping 49ers could pull it off. Still could be them
Eh, I'm not convinced. Yeah, yeah, yeah I'm a hater blah blah blah. But the Niners are loaded, once they pay him and can't afford all their stars then we can see who he really is. If he flames out or goes "Kirk Cousins", then it's right back to overhyped first round picks.
Its almost like its was covid and no one was allowed to actually scout in person or interview in person forced only to rely on film with also a whole bunch of people sitting out for the college season because of the uncertainty
I’ve been saying how bad the 2022 draft class was for QBs. All of the original teams that drafted most of these guys no longer wanted them and traded them all away. The only solid QB in that draft was Purdy.
I like how he completely missed the point of desmond ridder. The guy literally turned the ball over like every 7-8 plays. 12 interceptions and 6 fumbles.
Bailey Zappe was put into a horrible situation. Not only did he have to deal with the master class of Matt Patricia calling plays his rookie year, the QB room was toxic enough that he studied film with the receivers. Then he got to deal with rusty Bill O’Brien, Mac Jones being a diva, and a lack of receiving talent outside of Hunter Henry, Demario Douglas, and Kendrick Bourne. I can see Jacoby Brissett starting for 4-8 weeks before either Zappe or whoever the Patriots draft takes over. I want Mac to do well and have a Geno Smith style resurgence. He was put into a worse situation than Zappe, as he lost his trusted OC, and, more importantly was expected to replace Brady. Mac needed a fresh start more than Zappe did.
Teams by and large do not know how QB development works. Some of these QBs were never pro bowl level talent but some do have talent but do not have the necessary coaching or system around them.
Pickett failed because his confidence didn't seem to grow. I know we didn't see him much, and there was the blowup with Canada and so on. But during most of his playing time, he was so conservative and didn't want to try anything. When he actually had to win the game, he played great. But at no other times.
I think the issue with QBs in the draft is that scouts and media put way too high of a value on athletetism. The 2 best QBs of all time, Brady and Mahomes, have Dad bodies. When they go to the line of scrimmage they understand, more often then not, where each defensive player is going to be. That's one of the reasons Purdy is so good and the rest of the class wasn't. I don't think this years QB draft class is going to be any better. I think one QB might make it, and the rest won't get their 5th year option. And Da Bears will be looking for a new QB in 4 years.
Most of these teams just gave up on them too early. It’s definitely not a strong class. Talent wise coming out Howell was the best one, but quickly fell apart at UNC. Pickett had Pittsburgh, but got some bad play calling with Matt Canada. Willis was stuck behind an old school playstyle of Mike Vrabel, but he can’t read defenses as well. Ridder just can’t read defenses, have seen him play and he’s not bad, but when you have Pitts, Bijan, and London open, but won’t hit them because your first read is Jonnu or someone else then that’s on coaching. Arthur Smith was garbage. Corral never got a fair chance cause he got hurt on the Panthers. Purdy was put into the best situation to succeed and develop. Overall, 2021/22 hasn’t been good. Hopefully 2023 stays strong for the future though
As a commanders fan I think Howell has the IT factor if anything he has too much cause that’s his problem. Always looking for the big play and holding the ball too long which caused so many sacks and INTs. It was coaching too big time but if Sam can control himself More he can play but we’ll see
If you thought any of these guys were next level gamechanging QB1s, you’re high as hell and only get your draft takes from the media. No one who watched college ball expected big things them these guys. Purdy went under the radar due to all the talent he had with him imo
Brock Purdy made all NFL media scouts look like total morons, yet they are still making the same mistakes for the 2024 draft. Phystical talent alone doesn't make a very good NFL QB

Malik has the talent, personality and overall intangibles but don't ask him to read a defense cause he's never had to. If he went to a team that had a veteran QB like idk buccs or some team like that he'd be a decent if not good starter.
The fact Desmond Ridder was drafted in the second round is utterly horrifying. That guy is a person who makes you turn off football kind of bad
Shit Kenny Pickett went 1st round 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Ridder > Kenny
@@Jizzledamann brother, I can attest that you’re wrong. Kenny Pickett is like John Elway compared to that goofy ass Desmond Ridder.
😂😂 Pickett is trash
Pickett had weapons on offense and a good defense 🤔
Ridder was drafted in the 3rd round fyi
I'm going to defend Sam Howell a little bit. The kid got the shit kicked out of him because that O-line was literally the worst in the league, and Bienemy doesn't believe in running the ball to take pressure off the QB.
As a Giants fan I agree with you on Howell.
Giants had the worst oline by the way.
Another old fart calling an adult a kid.
@@Lee-ic8ln a bad o line doesn’t help , and neither does not running the ball
Purdy being drafted last overall and seeing him became the QB he is today whilst other QBs on this list going in the 1st round, just proves all the combine nonsense, mock drafts, pro days, analysis etc is just a load of tripe
Yes, let’s take the outlier as an example and now declare all analysis as “bad”. That makes no sense. What about the other of hundreds players drafted? Question, does draft analysis include the teams developmental ability?
Thank you, Mel Kiper.
Pickett was the only QB drafted in the 1st round, so maybe the analysts did know something about this draft class.
It’s almost as if he was surrounded by one of the most talented rosters this decade
Going to the right team at the right time with the right talent around you with the right offensive coordinator and the right work ethic means a lot.
4:45: Sam Howell is most remembered for being sacked 65 times in 2023, with 51 occurring in the first 11 games. This had him on pace to set an all time season record. The offensive was pitiful which had to make him gun shy, but he also had the habit of holding onto the ball too long.
Kenny Panic the biggest bust in the class for sure.
for sure
As a Steelers Fan 100% Facts.
Honestly pretty surprised, he was the only QB in that class I liked.
waste of a 1st round pick
Kenny was always a 3rd Round Talent
As a Niner fan since 1981, Brock was an insanely pleasant surprise.
People wanted the lions to take Malik Willis at #2 overall which was insane.
Most quarterback didn’t have much of a chance Kenny Pickett and Ridder had chances but players like Malik Willis and Sam Howell are more project QBs especially Malik but there was the commitment to them
he was thrown in as a starter his 1st year
I was looking heavy at QBs the year before this one and really liked Purdy then.
And Purdy delivered when he did start.
pickett failed to outplay mitch trubisky. they both were playing in the canada offense
when i say outplay i mean by a noticeable amount
It's crazy how the best 2 QBs from that draft were from the 7th round. Makes you wonder how do scouts mess up that badly?
Scouts are only interested in potential instead of actual production.
Nah Brock purdy ain’t good just got the best roster in the league carrying him
Purdy isn’t bad, but he’s not great either. just a Jimmy G type QB that won’t screw up that much.
@Lifesabeach91 The 9ers lost the last 3 SBs for a lot of different reasons, but the only one I would say was purely on the QB was 2019...
I remember when lions fans wanted Malik Willis at 2, what a crazy time
The craziest thing is, look at every QBs left hand placement, close hand (low/no accuracy) Malik Willis, hand completely open (a lot of inconsistent and overshot balls) Desmond Ridder, and Hand even too the jaw and chest, as if you’re tying to cut the air in half (a lot more accuracy and better ball control/placement) Brock Purdy.
Lol yeah they’re left hand placement is why the sucked.
@@antcantcook960 no it’s part of QB mechanics. So is pointing them toes and throwing with your hips, but hey. What do I know. Just a passionate football lover here. Nothing to crazy
This is about what a QB has between the ears more so than their physical abilities.
😂😅 FACTS!
Its like that in all sports now it seems like. 1 bad year you get written off
Howell is the only one I can see ever becoming a starter/bridge qb like a Gardner Minshew. If you watched Washington games you know their defense couldn’t stop a fly and they resorted to abandoning the run and airing it out pretty much every game. No rookie qb could be successful in that situation.
I agree but with Seattle I can see him being their next Russell Wilson
career backup
I still feel like Malik Willis still has potential… some team should take a chance with him
He really ain’t even get to play compared to other guys
Facts Trey lance want him to win too
he has potential in the ufl 😂
If he didn't play with TEN awful QB situation last year then he's never playing.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
To be fair aside from Purdy, most of these guys were drafted into horrible situations. Of all these guys, I think Howell still has the potential to become a quality NFL starter. There’s a lot of context that goes into why his season went the way it did, and now he’s going to a far better situation.
Bro stop it. They are all back up QBs at best.

You should do a deep dive on Pickett, and show how the Steelers fired their OC mid season the first time they fired a coach mid season since 1942.
Kenny Pickett will become a pro bowler by 2027. I won the Super Bowl with him on Madden. How much more proof do you need?
This video was randomly recommended to me great video man insta sub
i had so high hopes on malik sad he didn't work out
Great video I really enjoyed watching, but I'm not sure you can call Corral a bust when he was a late third round draft pick.
The third round can hold incredible value and for ur pick to essentially have the same production level as a walk on player is bad. I would consider it a bust
He never recovered from his Sugar Bowl injury.
The only problem is he’s not consistent, he flatlines at times.
zappe is solid. if he was given the chance to be the starter for 2 straight seasons you wouldve seen him take the pats to the playoffs
It’s crazy how fast things change in the league compared to college
I know, it's an instant gratification league, that's we see so many coaches fired after one year, quarterbacks thrown into the fire before their ready
Yes do another qb class. I liked this.
Man I have a feeling your going to make a video about the 2025 draft class in a few years 😅
So you're telling me that Chris Oladokun got a bench warmer Superbowl ring but Purdy is the best out of this draft class? Oladokun is so good, he doesn't even have to play to win a Superbowl. 🤣
I really like Sam Howell, dude was killing it earlier in the season, wasnt lighting it up, but threw a few 300+ yard gamed and i think a couple 3+ TDs. It just seemed the team around him gave up and as a result his numbers dropped.
It's called coaching ad team culture. I am sure if Trey Lamce were to be drafted by the Panthers he would be gone by now. It's not what talent you get, It's how you utilize the talent.
Trey Lance was drafted by the 49ers, the same team that drafted Brock Purdy, and he's gone because Brock Purdy beat Lance for the starting job.
I really hope that Malik Willis gets another shot to start.. He really does have a lot of talent..
fax just needs a lot of help
He has a strong arm and can run a bit. Can’t process, can’t read defenses, can’t get the ball out on time, panics in the pocket. He’s never shown any improvement so far
You are kidding 😅😅😅😅
he never had good coaches@@yanksfan6833
Dude is absolute cheeks. He plays like what Lamar's haters think he plays like.
Not to mention he rushed for 5 Tds last year too. 26 total TDS
If only Zappe could throw for more than 10 yards, he couldve been the nexr guy
@@PlayerJay425
because drafting QBs is a total crap shoot, always has been always will be.
The way Malik Willis was hyped, you'd think he was going to be the second coming of Josh Allen.
I’m taking Brock Purdy in a first round redraft!
I called it 2 years ago when I said no QB should go in the first 2 days.. I was right
Purdy had legitimate first round hype after 2019 season. He didn’t do as well in 2020/21 seasons and that’s why he fell all the way to the last pick
Brock Purdy is the savior of this QB class ironically, the last pick of the draft
This gives you an idea how completely dysfunctional the Patriots' coaching & front office have become. A QB desperate to save his brief NFL career spends a few days in the building, then walks away without a word. He didn't even want on the practice squad. He'd rather waste away in the USFL.
To be fair as a kstate fan, we all knew that Skyler wasn’t NFL starting material. We all felt best that he would be best as a back up for somebody.
The future of the UFL in one video
Minus purdy
Howell is not competing with Geno Smith, he's the backup. Show some respect.
I feel like 2021. Most definitely is the worst out of the two in my opinion because how overhyped that class was compared to 2022. 🤷🏾♂️💯
While we're early the only QBs i like in the 2024 draft are Caleb Williams and Michael Penix Jr
Dope ass content! Subscribed ✅
People say Penix was a bad pick by Atlanta, but many "Experts" wanted Seattle to take Malik at #9 in '22.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Howell becomes the full time starter if anything happens to Geno.
Thoughts and prayers, Malik.
Seems to me the success of the QB is directly proportional to how good the team that recruited them...
Its almost like its was covid and no one was allowed to actually scout in person or interview in person forced only to rely on film with also a whole bunch of people sitting out for the college season because of the uncertainty
Stop using civic as an excuse for why the age were bad lol
I’ve been saying how bad the 2022 draft class was for QBs. All of the original teams that drafted most of these guys no longer wanted them and traded them all away. The only solid QB in that draft was Purdy.
Do one on how bad the 2023 NFL Veteran QB class was.
Titans had no reason to draft Willis. Knew Tannehill was going to hate on him. He was better off with the Steelers. They wasted his rookie year.
How has Sam Howell not takin advantage of his chance hes the guy here no one else will be close
Not disappointing at all Go Brock.
Matt Corral has logged his first win with the Stallions in the UFL, now that the season is underway.
One correction. Pickett is from Ocean Twp, New Jersey. Not a Pittsburgh native.
The transfer portal us killing college football.
It was coaching too big time but if Sam can control himself
More he can play but we’ll see
If you thought any of these guys were next level gamechanging QB1s, you’re high as hell and only get your draft takes from the media. No one who watched college ball expected big things them these guys. Purdy went under the radar due to all the talent he had with him imo
Honestly I already forgot who was drafted that year
Sam Howell wasnt that bad, and can definitely be salvaged.
Purdy is the best
Zappe is good, that fact you think Sam even looks like a starter surprises me
Brock Purdy made all NFL media scouts look like total morons, yet they are still making the same mistakes for the 2024 draft. Phystical talent alone doesn't make a very good NFL QB
Size definitely matters over the long run for pocket passers. Even 6-3 215 lbs is not big enough. You need to be like 6-5 250
@@alexjones6190The last two QBs to represent the NFC in the Superbowl, both of whom came with a play of winning the game, were the 6'1 Jalen Hurts and the 6'1 Brock Purdy. You're absolutely right, lack of height is a problem for both of them; watch how the Ravens exploited that against Purdy in the Christmas Night game. However, plenty of QBs 6'3 and up fail. It's definitely easier if you're 6'5, but you don't absolutely have to be.
Patrick Mahomes, the current best QB in the business, by far, is 6'2, for the record. He's also too short by your criteria.
@@SuperSupersoda my criteria is more size than height, mahomes is 250 pounds and can take the blows... it's not an absolute rule either but you need to be drew brees and get the ball out very fast
