I remember being 18 watching the UT vs USC championship game, and taking a knee and holding hands with everyone in my living room. That 4th and 2 stop to get the ball back. Then the 4th and 5 with the game on the line. "He's going for the cornerrrrr... he's got it! Vince Young scores!" will forever give me chills. Greatest championship game ever played in my opinion, truly a clash of the titans that did not disappoint. Hook 'em Horns
I really wish I was able to watch this live, I was born three months after this game took place 🤣
Bruh……. F’ing SAME!
I was 13 when texas 05 title and to me best college team ever beating top teams and natty cause of Vince young
The video is titled “How the longest win streaks in college football ended” but no mention of the record holding 47 game win streak by OU
Who cares about OU ??

That was in like the 50’s or 60’s, I don’t blame him for excluding a team that played before the modern(ish) era of American football
…that’s actually a great point. I would like to have heard about it.
Fun fact: Devonta Smith was committed to UGA prior to flipping his commitment to Alabama.
On another note, and as a UGA fan....I don't like Bama lol
And Jake Fromm was committed to Bama prior to flipping his commitment to UGA
HE'S going for the corner!!! Still gives me chills!
He’s GOT IT, Vince Young SCORES‼️
One of, if not THE, best college football game in history.

Out of all the ohio state losses that have stung me, i think that clemson loss was the worst. 😅
That and the Missed Field Goal against Georgia will always haunt me.
Are those games worse than losing to TTUN?
None of those games are worse than losing to your rival
@TRockNFL the only reason I say that specific game is because of how badly it felt like they were screwed out of it. The other losses, to me, were clean losses. But that clemson one... man... Idk if they would've beaten joey burrow but I would've loved to have seen it.
Could’ve also been revenge for 2007
Florida state vs Oregon was the first game that i ever cried over. I was like 7 years old and that game was the worse.
It was so bad you couldn't remember how to spell WORST. It's "worst" not "the worse". I forgive you because you're still a kid.
I cant believe Miami lost to Craig Krenzel. They beat themselves in that game.
Right they didn't bring the hammer even long before the pass interference call. Didn't get going until late on either side of the ball. Clarett was a monster that year but he should not have run roughshod on that defense imo
They didn’t it was theft
@@austincruz5757😂😂 shut up. Miami fans are clowns. Like this video showed. Ohio State was driving late and on 3rd down the refs didn’t call a blatant defensive hold that should’ve resulted in an automatic 1st down. Shouldn’t have even went to OT. Not to mention Gamble caught that pass on the no call defensive holding play anyway. 2 missed calls on the same play that if called correctly would’ve resulted in a 1st and Miami loses in regulation. Cry more.
@austincruz5757 the refs screwed ohio state before that pass interference happen
GEORGIA got screwed over by the SEC "Officiating"
College Football content is so good
I need to make more
The comment about how they somehow missed the replay review on VY: what happened was the Cingular (damn throwback) service temporarily went offline for like 20-30 seconds. It just so happened to be during that play. They attempted to call it in, but couldn’t get ahold of the replay booth. Texas missed the xtra point cause they rushed on knowing he was down. The call came in to review the play literally when the ball was snapped for the PAT. A wild circumstance
I hated that USC team so much! Its still hard to give them credit to this day.
Payed their players.. Asterisks
2014 Florida State was tough to watch. every single god damn game was close 😭the rose bowl was basically inevitable
The complete amd total opposite of 2013
@@PhilP8980shows you the true talent of Winston in college 🔥🔥 that’s my goat
The 2000 Miami team that started the 34 game win streak is underrated. It had Ed Reed, Mcgahee, Portis, Reggie Wayne, Shockey, Dan Morgan, Andre Johnson. BCS screwed them from playing for a national title when it put FSU in over them even though Miami had beat FSU that year.
Right. Jeremy shockey said they would have destroyed that Oklahoma team.
they were robbed of the previous years bowl game...and they were robbed out of the following one...should have been a trilogy
😂😂Miami lost to Washington who ended with the same record as Miami. Washington is the only one with a complaint for 2000
Miami had a miracle to beat fsu that year they had zero shot against OU

The USC dynasty was different and I'm a Notre Dame fan, the Bush Push still haunts me. You had to be there.
Notre Dame grad, while in school I attended the 2013 national championship against Alabama. That was rough. Nice to visit Miami at least.
You weren’t there

Joe Burrow ended two of them in about a year - he skunked Central Florida's 27-game win streak and then turned around the next bowl season and skull-drug Clemson, Mmm-Bop and their 29-game win streak all up and down the field... not bad for a guy who supposedly couldn't crack the line-up at Ohio State.
Great video
Thank you ‼️
South Carolina ending Clemson’s 40+ consecutive home winning streak was one of my favorites

Who’s your all time favorite Texas player? I’m going with Colt McCoy🤘🤝
@@TRockNFL The "Invincible" Vince Young🤘🏼
@@TRockNFL The Tyler Rose, Earl Campbell
Thats who i believe too.
That Miami team may have had better NFL players, but those USC/Texas teams were the best college teams ever. That was the best matchup for the Championship of all time. Vince Young was the most electrifying player in the history of college football.
USC truly is one of a kind when they are on top. It’s something about the Hollywood style that makes college players look like NFL stars
You gone be rich bro keep going

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! This video quickly became an FSU apology tour. That collection of athletes was special, but the very thing that helped Jimbo get that contract would later be the same thing that cost him his job. The old saying “Winning is a great deodorant for what stinks about your program” has most certainly held true.
Stupidest comment I've seen. The point of a program is to win everything else is just extra.
❤30:58 It's funny that one play cost USC the National Championship and gave it to Texas still I'll remember that game for the rest of my life
there was so many more big hits in these highlights than you ever see now
One hundred former pro players suing the NFL is why.
Most of the win streaks featured on this video would only be the third longest win streak in Oklahoma's history.
Let's guess, pre-segregation, Bcs, and Bowls, in college football.
@@christophermatthews9929 Nope, you guessed wrong. But feel free to guess again.
LSU had a 49 non-conference home winning streak until they played Troy in 2017
Unbelievable that THAT was the game to end it.
at 16:20, that interception return for a touchdown that georgia ends up winning, that was also the first time in 10 years that Alabama lost by 2 scores. The last time before that happened was against Oklahoma, think about that for a second. (not even an alabama fan).
5:12 am I the only one who saw the ref flop? It sure wasn’t intentional, but almost looked like he was mocking Winston’s fall. I’ve seen it and now can’t unsee it every time this replay comes up 😂
everyone says that but 1: I don't see why a ref would do that mid play with the ball coming right at him and 2: he's an overweight man clearly in his late 50s-60s obviously backpedaling wouldn't be the most fluid motion for him lol
Fantastic video. You need to work on your script writing but great video
Super Bowl is in the super dome this year
What about the longest win streak in CFB history? Oklahoma's 47
Good video.
Thank you🤝
The bush push game was ruled a no contest later so they still lost that streak
Banggg
Actually sean taylor was the backup for ed reed. He starter when he and CP left. Santana moss wasnt on that championship team either
Michael Jenkins first down reception that was ruled out of bounds. The Chris Gamble PI. Clipping on Roscoe Parrish's return. A lot of missed calls by the refs. The game should of never went to OT. Ohio State should of won 17-14. OH-IO.
That was Roscoe Parrish, not Kellen Winslow, scoring the opening touchdown of that Fiesta Bowl. Also, it was again Roscoe Parrish, not Antrel Rolle, on that punt return to set up the game tying field goal.
The 2006 National Championship between USC vs Texas has to be the best college football game of all time. 🏈
In the greatest venue of all time
And There Was No Santana Moss In That Miami 34 Game Winning Streak. He Was Gone The Year Before
Actually Santana was on the team that started the 34 game streak and beat Florida in the Sugar Bowl the year before Miami won the national championship. The streak started after Miami lost to Washington in 2000 and Santana was on that team
0:17 a phrase a whole generation now has never heard
Yea, wait until cfb 25 comes out
Will you do more college football videos
Yes!
21:23 Greatest college football game ever
I can't believe the Florida and Kentucky streak isn't in here
What about North Dakota State's from 2012-2014?
Ah, the slip six always makes me smile! Go Ducks!
I have a poster signed by that entire FSU team of 2012 back home. What yall think its worth?
As a UF fan there wasn't a team I hated more than 2014 Florida State. That team should have lost at least 4 or 5 games that year but escaped due to sheer talent. That really should have been the first red flag for Jimbo.
As UrinatingTree would say:
High-end talent.
Just subbed and Liked. Keep up with the good content
Thank you‼️
Oklahoma Sooners were unbeatable In the 50's men 47 straight wins still holds NCAA records to this day no ur history tell it right and fair good video
Mount Union had a 112 game win streak in recent years.np love for the purple raiders?
As an LSU my hope is that bama kinda steps back without Saban and Kirby loses his edge without thay drive to defeat his Sensei. But thats WISHFUL thinking
Well you also have Texas coming into the conference with their NIL capabilities when it comes to recruiting, it’s going to be tough
can we have Bama losing their edge with Kirby keeping sharp? as a Georgia fan I've been enjoying the ability to actually win big games for once
@@TRockNFL I'm not scared of Texas NIL. NIL money is chump change in the big picture. I'm more scared of the Texas Longhorns crowding out every other Texas school. East Texas and Houston has always been LSU country, but they could take that away if they become the only real Texas school.
I’m just a lineman but how the heck does a qb stay a starter if he has nearly the same number of td passes as interceptions.
(Unless I miss understood the stats he said)
TLaw also lost to Notre Dane in 2020 so not all of his losses were at the superdome
T Law was out with Covid, DJ Uiagalelei started that game
Bro you forgot to mention USC had a scare against Fresno state I believe
Video maker definitely an Ohio state fan 😂
I promise I’m not🤣
No Tennessee-Alabama is crazy
Those reffs for that ohio state clemson game were horrible. Wouldve been so much better to see LSU vs clemson. The story lines and fanbases and everything wouldve been more fun to watch
All three of Clemson, Ohio State and LSU would’ve won the natty if the other two didn’t exist that year, usually can’t say that in CFB now days
OSU vs LSU would’ve been a classic. the 2019 team was arguably ohio state’s best this millennium.
As a Michigan Fan I absolutely Hate Georgia For Beating Us 💙💛
I’m a Florida State Alum and I’m Proud to see how you start off the video with my Team first, so I don’t have to skip the whole video and looking when are you gonna mention my Noles😂 Go Noles 🍢🍢
I mean Clemson already was huge with Deshaun Watson there
25:42 It haunts me to this day. As a Notre Dame fan, I will say this until I'm dead. SHOULD'VE LET DWAYNE JERRETT SCORE. USC had no defense that year. No way they stop ND from scoring on them. Even Matt Leinart said it was good ND tackled Jerrett on that play.
Instincts will always take over in a crucial moment and in the end they were still one play away from making the stop
@TRockNFL I knew watching it, they were better off letting him score. USC wanted him to be tackled so they could kill that much clock and score. Not trying to blame the refs, but Matt fumble out of bounds at the 3 yard line. If the refs noticed it, USC plays it safe and puts it into overtime.
@@TRockNFL BTW On a Longhorn side note, yes, VY's knee was down, but he already had the first down at that point, and probably would've scored on them next play. Not like USC was gonna stop him. IDK why that play is a big deal.
💥💥You know there's tons of footage of Bud Wilkinson's 1950s Oklahoma Sooners on RUclips that you could've used.
There's even footage of 1970 and 1971 Toledo football who went undefeated 3 straight years in 1969, 1970 and 1971. It's plenty of footage of 80s BYU who went undefeated in early 70s Nebraska who had a long winning streak and 90s Nebraska
I don't know why RUclipsrs exclude teams prior to 1970. if a team in today's era was to win 48 straight games in a row who record would they be breaking? 1950s Oklahoma that's who.
If you're going to be a football historian, be an actual football historian and not some half-assed historian that only talks about from the 2000s on to now.
It’s a great thing about living in America. He can really talk about or do whatever he wants. And he never claimed to be a football historian either. I don’t think there is such a thing. You find what you’re looking for in the plethora of youtubes library and quit whining?
4 of the top 5 win streaks in the age of televised CFB are excluded from this video. But hey, this is just a dude trying to be a RUclipsr and put out some watchable content. I can appreciate that. Now if he was on ESPN's payroll, the wrath of thousands from Sooner Nation would blow this shit up. 😂

How the hell did Winston and the ref fall the same way at the same time @ 5:15?
What’s funny is the refs didn’t take that 2019 game from osu😂. Osu sold. But Clemson sold their game vs lsu. They held em in check for a while but somehow lost all their mojo. Then Clemson would still go on to have a 40+ home winning streak too for that to be broken in 2022 by sc due to bad play calling and so on. Either way, Clemson is one of the most hated but most interesting programs of the decade+. They’ll be back soon enough tho
Starting the video with FSU almost had me thumbs down it.
We don’t need that!🤣
2001 Miami Hurricanes the greatest collegiate football team ever
Good video. One piece of constructive criticism, try and use some different sentence connectors, hearing "but" and "and" that many times can be hard to follow. Sometimes it's ok to just let the sentence end, take a breath, and start the next one.
It’s crazy bc all you had to do to beat Georgia was know how to throw the ball lol. Best run defense I’ve ever seen but that secondary was very overrated
Alabama Owns Georgia, they have only beat them 1 time in 16 years
Yeah no shit 2 times in 16 years 2007 and 2021 still owned tho

I never said that, but both of them contributed to the win streak which started in the Kelvin era and ended in the rose bowl game which Dalvin was starting RB in

23:47 no way that’s pay interference. He got there simultaneously
genuinely I don't know how you can think this. they were handfighting the whole way. I can understand saying no PI due to them both getting their shots in, but it wasn't "simultaneously" at all.

Actually I have the longest win streak in college football in retro bowl college
9:25 Yea we got fucked on that game. The whole game was rigged by the refs
We all know that Alabama would of gotten in if they lost by 3 with 1 loss, they got in without even winning their division.
refs hate osu
Ucf snubbed
Antrel Rolle Did Not Play In That Natty Game Against Ohio State. Glenn Sharpe Was The One With The Pass Interference. Roscoe Parrish Scored The First Touchdown And Had The Big Punt Return At The End Of Regulation

He did play smh
That was not PI
it was a clear PI both times
Gamble dropped the ball
Random fact: Ross in Clemson is from Phenix City, Alabama 😂
Was legit pass interference both plays.
Nah the U got robbed
Everyone loves to say the refs are why Ohio State lost to Clemson, not the fact that Justin Fields threw not one but TWO picks into the end zone.
That definitely contributed but wouldn’t have mattered without all the other help clemson got from the refs. After the bs targeting call.. it was over for Ohio State.
Cmon now. What I remember most was hearing the announcers all night saying "Ohio st settling for FGs may come back gl haunt them" and it did. @darthsilversith667
