Personal opinion, but if he was a candidate, I'd take offense to that. He needs to be more specific, or have the family to diner and put it on the news that our family is the reason companies set their standards to our levels. No one can hold to our standards, so their just failures.

I understand startups and the like but businesses that are on their way to death and only up to repay their original investors what theyre due before declaring bankruptcy are really not good stocks. I would never advise something so ludicrous.

I know a guy who is likely slowly dying of lung cancer, or some other respiratory condition due to a life of heavy smoking. Man can't sleep at night without being woken up [and waking up the whole house] by his own coughing. Refuses to get seen by a doctor. His condition is so bad that to treat it he'd probably bankrupt the next several generations of his family, if they ever financially recover. He won't admit it, but it seems quite clear the man has accepted a slow painful death to this rather than try and get treatment.
