    Many years ago. I heard a prayer that just pulled in every area of my heart. Bless him and change me. It seemed so simple but it completely changed how I viewed love and respect. Very hard to be angry when you align yourself with His will. I by no means am perfect at it. I am trying though. I am type A as well. My husband sounds like yours as well. He sits and considers far longer than I do..what I am learning is that it's wise to do as he does. To consider a matter..and to take time to listen rather than moving ahead full speed. Bless him and change me..and since then so many blessings have been poured upon our marriage. When we were wed we knew His spirit was pouring on us and we felt that anointing and blessing in that decision..so even when it's difficult and even when we disagree..I remember..He blessed us..He blessed the order..and I must remember my submission is unto Yah first which should cause me to submit to my husband. Shalom sister. I love your videos!!! Such a blessing to me! I know you're on a break but I can not wait to see the next portion you are given to display to your sisters!!!

      @@WomenLivingTorah it's a process for sure. There has been times this is all I could pray because I felt so frustrated and unheard..but what I've come to realize is that growing is painful at times..trees withstand storms because their roots go deeper when they're faced with the high winds and rain. I always tell women who are about to marry or who are newly married..love is not a feeling. It is fighting for a commitment you made..if you allow your feelings to dictate you'll jump ship right after launching..but only working together to keep that boat afloat will ensure safe landing.. He's so patient with us..we need to be patient with one another and ourselves as well.

    Oh Raquel!!!! My personality and inclination is like yours and my husband is a new Christian and even newer to Torah observance. He is very supportive and amenable, but his attitude is more that it is for me, and he can just go along. But I feel very convicted by your message, and I really appreciate the practical way you describe submission. I am going to follow your prayer asking Yah in His Spirit to lead me in this daily. Thank you for your ministry. And if His Spirit leads you to pray for me, to find a Torah observant congregation. Shalom
    Bo Yeshua
    Oh you asked me a while back about my new contentment at being a woman. Well it has been a number of things.
    1. Torah teaching on Sarah, Rivkah, Leah and Raquel.
    2. When I awoke to Torah and realized so much of what I learned in church before was partial truth, (or outright lies) I decided to be like the Bereans and base all my beliefs in scripture. Contrary to what some of us grew up learning, Yah does not look down on women.
    3. One teaching was memorable in pointing out the progression of creation. Woman was the last creation!!!!
    4. I have noticed many important Hebrew words are feminine.
    5. I have three children and pregnancy, childbirth, nursing and a mother's special role are such great gifts.
    Now just like Yeshua teaches humility and love for others over self, I am not using any of these reasons to think I am better than anyone else or that women are better than men. It just gives me a better perspective of my place. And then submission and emptying myself becomes a gift of love and not an act of inferiority.

Especially when my husband is not born again and wants to spend $1,600 on a toy car project after we agreed to stop spending money and to save it for more vital things. • @rainmakerarms
      @rainmakerarms Год назад +1

      @mickeyb4441 that is not what the Apostle Paul said.
      1 Timothy 3:1In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives,
      2 as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior.
      3 Your adornment must not be merely external-braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses;
      4 but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
      5 For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands;
      6 just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, and you have become her children if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear.

I now understand why...this convicted me so much it brought tears...when we know God's word we can sometimes have good intentions that bring us to 'unknowingly' lead and not even have faith anymore... yet those 'intentions' can lead us to sin so much and walk out of the narrow path. My wife and I have been in a long winter in our marriage. We’ve going to counseling to reopen our communication because kids can make difficult to actually talk to each other.
    As part of it, we’ve been going back to church more and realizing that we are immensely dissatisfied with what The World tells us is good or normal or proper.
    My wife early on in our marriage took more leadership mostly because I let her. I didn’t want to come off as a jerk, or domineering, or a stereotypical husband. So I abdicated my role to satisfy what The World says is a good husband. However after a few years we’ve realized that it’s put undue pressure on her.
    She shouldn’t have to plan her Mother’s Day or her birthday. “What do you want to do” sounds nice, but it’s an abdication of leadership that puts the pressure on her.
    I want to step up and be the head of my household again. She wants to lay down some of her burdens so I can pick them up for her.
    Please pray for us as we move forward.
    The World is a vampire. It’s filled with lies and only God’s way is the true way

    • @WomenLivingTorah
      @WomenLivingTorah  3 года назад +1

      I’ve never been in that situation, and I’m so sorry that’s a reality for so many. 😢 I won’t be able to give the best advice, but I would just say that you would have to decide whether to seek reconciliation, separation for reconciliation, or divorce for adultery. Biblically, all are options, and it’s up to you. Sometimes, trust can be restored, but I’ve heard from spouses who have stayed together through infidelity that’s it’s difficult, and it takes time. As for emotional and mental healing, that’s going to be a process whatever decision you make. I have a video about how to forgive called ‘Forgiveness in Practice.’ ruclips.net/video/V6ZCUKVeEEc/видео.html I hope it can bless you. Shalom! 💕

    In all do respect Raquel, this type of relationship where you cant even make suggestions on what to do in your own home is worrisome. This sounds like mental abuse and i lived through it.

    • @WomenLivingTorah
      @WomenLivingTorah  2 года назад +3

      I’m sorry for the trauma you’ve gone through, perhaps in the ‘name’ of Biblical submission…. Perhaps not. But, I would like to encourage you that a Biblical relationship can never be abusive because it is both husband and wife giving love and respect to one another. In fact, Scripture commands husbands to nourish and cherish their wives and to give honor to their wives. A husband and wife build a home TOGETHER. It is a ‘ONE FLESH’ union! So it is not me doing whatever I like in my own home- nor is it him doing whatever he would like in our home- but rather, like a Body that works in unity with its various members and only does what is good for itself, so a husband and wife are a TEAM that work together to make the family & home. I understand that you were in a very unbalanced, unBiblical relationship, and I specifically state in the video that there should be no need to feel like tip toeing around our husbands or that we can’t speak. But, for healthy relationships, when as a wife is it WISE and peaceable to speak? We don’t need to voice every opinion or make every suggestion that pops into our heads. There are many ways to do something and still achieve the same outcome.
      Within abusive relationships, the wife can show her husband love and respect MOST by separating herself and any children from his home! Together AND individually, with the help of trusted counselors and mentors, they can seek reconciliation & restoration to whatever degree is possible. Sometimes, the abuser has to suffer the consequences of a crime, as well. And a wife should do everything in her power to ensure that her husband is no longer in a position to harm her or their children. When you think about it, being an abuser is actually self-destructive for him, as well, and so the wife can show him the most love and respect by helping him to stop this cycle of self destruction (by removing herself and setting up boundaries and consequences).
      I pray your heart and life will heal from the trauma you have surely been through. I know for a fact that there is hope in Messiah Yeshua. ❤️ 🤗

      @@WomenLivingTorah Can you you please clarify what you mean by WISE to speak? Does it mean that only speak when spoken to? A healthy relationship consists of proper communication between two people, not just not just random blurts of things of the top of your head. Ma'am do you realize by behaving this way you are insulting your intelligence?
      And again, communication is a two way street and foundation of a marriage.

    • @WomenLivingTorah
      @WomenLivingTorah  2 года назад +4

      Wise in the sense of- is what I am about to speak necessary? Is it helpful? Does it pursue peace? Does it have good intent? Is it full of mercy? Is it being manipulative? Is this a good time? James 3:17 😊 This is the basic of proper communication, IMO!
      Biblical submission and being wise with our tongues and actions never justifies abuse. In fact, submission and being wise are Christian values for male and female! The marriage relationship, of course, has another facet of Biblical submission for the woman- but again, that in no way portrays her as a victim, a slave, a doormat, etc. God has created women with intelligence and capability, and women in Scripture are praised for being so!
      Absolutely communication is a two way street in marriage- however, this channel is to encourage and speak to WOMEN, not men. 😉 And, I will always be speaking from a woman’s perspective. Many blessings!
      Edit to add: To answer your question directly because I forgot you had asked it: ‘wise’ does not mean ‘only speak when spoken to.’ It means thinking before you speak. 😉

    Torah observant.... where do ya'll do your bull sacrifice? 🤔

    • @WomenLivingTorah
      @WomenLivingTorah  2 года назад

      As God requires, sacrifices must be done by the priests in the place where He has put His name (Temple in Jerusalem); therefore, to sacrifice at this point in history without the temple and a functioning priesthood would be disobeying Torah. 😉 Also, the idea of bringing a bull for sacrifice is not quite right. Bulls were required at certain times, but generally, the thing sacrificed is staggered depending on one’s situation. If you have a bull, bring a bull. If you don’t have a bull, but have a sheep, bring it. If you don’t have a sheep, bring a dove. If you don’t have a dove, bring flour. A bull was never required by an individual that wouldn’t be able to afford it! The Lord is merciful to provide a way that everyone can be involved. 😊 Blessings!

      @@WomenLivingTorah So if you are not bringing sacrifice to the temple, how are you staying in line with Torah?

    • @WomenLivingTorah
      @WomenLivingTorah  2 года назад

      We obey all of God’s commands that apply to us. Because there is no temple, we cannot bring a sacrifice. To sacrifice without a temple would be disobedience. Similarly, some commands are only for men, only for Kings, only for priests, only for high priests, only for certain times of the year, only for certain times of the month, only for farmers, etc. So, we keep the commands that YHVH has specified for us & for our context. He sees us, and He knows when we do not keep a command that does apply to us and our current situation whether that is done out of rebellion to Him, or if it is not done out of inability, or whatnot.
