- This 20-minute indoor walking workout will help improve your cardiovascular health by getting your heart rate up with exercises that work your entire body including your legs, glutes, core, and upper body. Perfect for seniors and beginner exercisers. There are about 2400 steps in this video.
Marching or walking in place is the foundation for this workout. Fun dance moves mix things up. These exercises will also work on your balance and coordination, which is important to prevent falls, the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries among seniors.

I am only on my first week of the 20 minute walk and love it. I am 78 years old and I am very grateful for this gorgeous girl and her mum.

I started your 20-minute walk last week. So far, I only missed one day. I am 80 years old and was not brought up with exercise and I really genuinely dislike to work out. So I took what I thought would be the shortest and easiest workout to do. I still struggle to turn on my iPad in the morning but I am proud when I have done the 20 minutes, thanks to you. I will graduate to one of your other programs once I am fully competent with this one. Thanks again to you and your inspiring mom.

I'm 48 with a sedentary lifestyle. About a year ago I started doing 10-15 minutes exercise most nights after dinner. I miss a day here or there. My body thanks me. I may not be super fit or toned, but I am moving intentionally every day. I have a few favourite channels but for longer walks this 20 minutes was doable because it's not too taxing. Thank you!

I love this! So happy I found it. I started it just 3 weeks ago. I am 64 years old and would rather walk in place during many days of bad cold weather in the Northeast. I love that it is not just 20 minutes of walking in place. such a variety with the 4 different sets (done 2x each) - the 20 minutes fly by! i started out with the 10 minute walking in place for several weeks. I love the mother and daughter team. I smile a lot during this due to their friendly voices. I do this every day before I leave for work - I didn't think I could do it - no time, etc. but I found the time, now if there is an occasional day I can't do it, I hate the feeling that I didn't do it! THANK YOU!! If anyone is hesitant to try it don't be. you will love it.

It's the first time I've come across this exercise video. I'm 73 and really enjoyed it. Thank you as it's easier to reach my 10,000 steps a day now that I've done it! - Your Mum doing it with you is an encouragement for many older people!

SO glad I have discovered you. I am 89 years old and have done at least one of your three walking workouts every day. Love the banter between you and your mom. I walk AT LEAST 6,000 steps EVERY day. Have gone79 days without missing my 6,000+ steps, more often 7,000 or 8,000 steps a day. What I don't do with you I do outside no matter what the weather.

All the different arm movements make the time fly by and increases my heartrate! This workout was just what I needed since my part of the country is snowed in right now!
I just found you and thought this would be great to do with my 83 yr old mom through video chat since we live in different towns! After doing the warm up exercises, I would do the 10 minute walking workout, but today I went to the 20 minute walking workout and I did it! I didn't know I had the strength or stamina to finish it or ever keep up with you young ladies. But I did and I am so proud of myself. Even my bad knee didn't stop me from doing it. Earlier this year when I went to my Primary Care Doctor I showed him your RUclips. He told me to keep up the good work. So I wanted to Thank you all very much. I even have my best friend doing the exercises. I have osteoporosis. My Rheumatologist said that maybe some of these exercises may help me. I also wanted to let your Mother know that she reminds me of my Mother. My mother passed away in 2016. My mother was very energetic. So was my Father. He passed away in 2000. I knew nothing about exercise and had no interest in it, then my church needed someone to fill in with a Senior citizens group that meets once a week and they do exercise. I was asked to try leading the ladies and after I reluctantly accepted the challenge, I found your channel and let me tell you, I love you and your mom's routines and so does my group. I did the beginner’s exercise the other day and I need a little challenge so I started this 20 min walking exercise and I feel good. I has arthritis and I have an excuse that when I exercise my knee will hurt more. I did not have knee pain and I will continue doing this with you guys. Thank you.

Today is my first day and I’m 58 years old and haven’t been active for a very long time. Weight gain didn’t help. This was great and watching your mom do this inspires me to do this too. Feels great and plan on doing this workout at least once a day. Thank you so much.

I’m 72, and just this fall I started to walk a path around a few blocks in my neighborhood. I hated it. My legs ached, and even listening to music didn’t make it better, I was bored.
Then, due to circumstances I had to stop the walk. I decided to try RUclips.
Finding April and ‘yes2next’ has saved me. I might mix a couple of shorter videos, or do 20 minutes. I like knowing the # of steps I’m doing.
Cardio, working more of my body than just my legs, getting my heart rate up, fat burning, it’s all so much more pleasant.
April’s whole style is uplifting. Having her encourage us as we go makes it so much better.
I look forward to getting up to those longer videos. But, like April says,”You’re moving.”
I thank April and her sweet mom. I finally have a positive feeling about myself, and hope for my progress.

Just love you ladies. Glad i found a exercise that works with my needs. Yesterday, I felt so good after warm up and 20 minute walk. I painted my door in my apartment and painted extra 4 doors. You mother and daughter rocks. This really helps me😅

Yep this has been really great the 10 min is also good. I’ve had a few medical issues and this has been the perfect get back into the groove workouts. Your explanations are great and your mom is a hoot. Just got my mother in law engaged in the hand exercises to hopefully help with carpal tunnel. Also enjoy the posture one wish you’d take us through the whole rotation if that exercise. Keep them coming.

I am 50, but have been chronically ill for about 10 years. About the only exercise I can tolerate is going for walks, so now that it is winter, I always struggle with what to do since it is too cold to walk outside. This video is exactly what I needed! I really like your walking workout because your music is soft, and you don't do a lot of pep talking during the exercises. Some teachers are cute with all their enthusiatic pep talks, but I prefer your quieter setting. You and your mom's interaction is sweet, and encouraging to others, no doubt.

Hello, thank you for making these videos, ive just turned 60, had SURPRISE quadruple heart bypass 20months ago and contracted the super bug while 27nights in hospital. Whenever I need a little boost to my mood and I want a shorter workout I very much enjoy your fitness classes- mom and daughter. Our sweet 21 year old daughter left the other day to fly back to her husband. ( as it should be) We always miss her so much. I feel lifted up after working out with you today😊👏

When I don't want to go out to walk, face the car noise or trucks going by, or face the weather, or just having to see other people, or I am having an agoraphobic day, in general, I just put one of Iko and April's workout videos and I am positively bucked-up, more confident and head on outside later. These two are gems and I sort of bask in their sunny reflexions. I really believe these folks care and that's good feeling to have in this day and age.

I have only just started doing the 20min walking exercise. I have COPD and I found this exercise to be beneficial,to me. I am not out of breath after which I am pleased about. I will progress to the 30min walk exercise. I do feel these exercises will help in my lung function. The video is fun to watch. Thank you.

I am 70 yearsold and did your 20 minute and 15 minute workout this morning - could not get outside for my 4-mile walk because of storms.These are great and so motivating.
My husband has Parkinson’s but the walking videos are easily adaptable for someone who uses a walker but needs to sit in a chair while excercising. He does chair yoga, but will love your videos when he can’t get outside for a walk.Thank you!!!!!!

My first try after being hospitalized with sepsis then 2 months after with a hip replacement. It is too cold to walk outside for the past month. I am happy I found your site! I did 2 in a row and hopefully can progress to three. I felt comfortable with your Mom there as well.
