    Yes you can take wood if on floor river trust leave wood on tow path as for water if you have the book on does and don't on narrowboating the rule on filling your boat with water is if there is people waiting for water to you only fill up for 30 min but long as you like if no one waiting hope that helps

    Every time I watch your videos and others It makes me want to jump in headfirst to get my own but I am still doing my homework but I can see the cost is completely worth even if my first year will be stationed at one location most of the time until the 2nd year where I have adapted myself with work since I won't be able to continuously move and work BUT I know where my quiet times are and plan for a month or two for moving around and then return for work. Maybe if I get a big workflow I can hire staff and do the office work on the boat. Who knows what the future holds but I know I am going to live on a boat or I will regret not doing it for the rest of my life.

      Half equal parts water and distilled white vinegar heated up to melt the honey and dissolve the sugar with chilli flakes, mustards seeds and coriander seeds (all to your own preference). I added a good amount of honey and chilli flakes. Trick is to cool the water/vinegar before pouring it on top of your cucumbers to keep them crunchy! Best ate after a couple of days. Good luck!

      @DanniandJoe  9 месяцев назад

      Yeah there’s about 10/15mm so enough to fit seals if we want them - to be honest we have to have X amount of ventilation on the boat to pass the BSS - by having gaps around the edge we may not need full on vents cut into the doors themselves (as many boats do) - we also have deliberate gaps in the hatch for the same reason

    Is there any Port { LEFT } in the Bottle

      @DanniandJoe  9 месяцев назад

      Yeah I can remember port & left easily enough, just nothing seems to make sense for right & starboard other than not remembering it’s port left first!

    You are wrong about the wood for heat. It warms you up at least four times!

    I notice that you guestimate "3 hours" per page without counting the locks. If they are against you they can add up to 30 minutes per lock!

      The canal companion (older book we use) incorporates the locks in its estimates (obviously it’s not spot on but gives a rough idea)

    it's not the river Kennett it's the river Avon

      It’s definitely the Kennet. We said bye to the Avon long before Semmington (it then loops up past Melksham).

      I’ve always read that that’s bad practice & can damage the axe (I’d do it with a cheap axe but this was £130!!) 😂
