Thank you both for this, so glad to have help fighting this. I was told by my now ex-wife that if I didn't go along with puberty blockers for our preteen, I'd have a dead daughter instead of a living son. After almost 2 years in the courts, I've kept the poison out of her. The emotional blackmail was terrible.

Minors cannot consent to giving up their fertility. Period.
I had cancer when I was 14. They asked me if I wanted to bank the sperm. I was like, "no, who cares?" Almost 30 years later, the amount of trouble we're going to in order to _hopefully_ be able to have kids is immense and _very_ expensive if we didn't have insurance that is covering it. And unlike these kids, I wasn't mentally disturbed at the time, would definitely have died without the treatment, and there are reasonable odds it's not irreversible.
It's unconscionable that anyone ever thought this idiotic nonsense was a good idea. Everyone involved in administering this "care" should be in prison.
That dilation topic is straight out of a horror movie. Re-inflicting a wound on yourself over and over as regret starts to accumulate...

As a mature gay woman, i can say 90% of all gay men and women of my age might have gotten caught up in this cult. Gender nonconformity should be normalized AS IS. 😢
Normalizing non-conformity is a contradiction in terms.
If you don't conform to the norm, you are not normal.
Normalization is part of the cult agenda. The world is heteronormative and must be for the survival of any sexually reproducing organism. We can acknowledge that fact and still treat abnormal people fairly, as we do with the left-handed and redheads. (unless of course they insist on trying to brainwash other people's children into falsely believing that their ideas and behaviors are normal).

I completely agree with you. These tr@ns activists are forcing the sex-stereotypes that we have spent years trying to dismantle, onto young sex-nonconforming kids. You can be any type of guy or gal you want, but your genetics determines your sex.

My question is why are they allowed to keep telling the lie that puberty blockers are 100% reversible? They love to compare it to precocious puberty in very young (way before their time is right) children who are put on it. They go off and go through normal puberty. Well yes, if puberty blockers are set in at 8 years old and left for two years like is standard practice, 11 is the start of normal puberty. Why are they allowed to carry on this lie?

Treating the main three patient groups, (teenage girls, effeminate gay boys who say early that they are not comfortable with 'boys things' from a young age, and autogynephiles (often heterosexual) the same as each other is harmful (and shows a shallow understanding of the history of transgenderism and of medicine).
I'm appalled that teenage girls (and boys) are having their future potential undermined to further the agenda of middle aged heterosexual men who identify as women in order to ameliorate their shame, and who, as you say, seem to be driving the lightning-fast changes in medical policy, governmental and legislative changes.

I was a 16 year old girl preyed upon by a 47 year old man who caused me a lifetime of working to stay in my body. But I have zero desire to be anything other than the female I was born as. I just have to soothe my body memories daily.

Early transition helped me a lot. I believe it actually treated my health issues more than we even realized. Many years later after detransition I now think if my health issues had been addressed, medical transition may not have been necessary. Unless there was real intervention when I was a kid, I doubt I would have avoided a prolonged social transition in my teen years. At the end of the day, it was physical therapy, regular exercise, becoming independent from my parents, and a trauma therapy called Somatic Experiencing that saved my life. Childhood was consumed with pain, weakness, Chronic Fatigue, inflammation. I did not get out of it without permanent damage from medical transition and am now dealing with the consequences. But I survived and I have healed.
But if you had experienced sensible grounded health care advice would you have gone through as much trauma as you have?
Doctors should not remove healthy organs for any reason, and espescially not for what is a mental health issue. Everytime there is a new medical scandal it always involves a vulnerable group used as experiments for a group of doctors who want to play God. I'm glad this is finally starting to be treated seriously but I still worry about how many more people will have their lives ruined because of these vile practices.
The dilation is appalling to me. The entire medical scandal is. But the failure is to understand the female vagina is a structure made up of muscles surrounding our hips made up of bones.
What were they doing during A&P class in undergrad school? Stoned out of their minds?

Ninja Edit: Mia's curt summary of the current state of "designer" illnesses "cured" by doctors with medical expertise is so scathing, particularly on this topic. One gets the sense that, at bottom, those who seek out doctors on bases like these are in a root conflict not with their looks, or their bodies, or their "gender", but with the - I guess - unpleasant fact that there is a layer of insuperable reality somewhere out there that the subject's will cannot be in control of. Importantly, even if a person "trans"-es himself, that layer of insuperable reality is STILL there. My opinion is that it hasn't moved at all, but even if it has been "shoved back" one layer, it is still the bottom of everything, and unless that person clarifies their relationship to that immovable, unpetitionable bedrock of reality, every day will continue to be the same insufferable nightmare, sawn off and stitched on body parts be damned.

mental health is hard to study because there aren’t that many concrete studies you can carry out as opposed to physical illnesses like cancer and diabetes. it’s not a specific sophisticated science. 90% of mental illness seems to be a result of a traumatic experience or societal issues. then there’s a minority where the issue is more genetic than societal

I think gender distress is very real. But should only be dealt with after 25 years age because that is when brain development stops. I guess since 2/3 grow over it those remaining are stuck in such state and they need to be helped. So what do you do when psychological therapy does not work? That is what those Tclinics are for. But in the end that leads to lots of body confusion which likely is the reaon why folks feel better after such therapy. I think we are a long way from understanding how to deal with such issue. Tclinic that is the last resort and not really a satisfying solution.
