    Do you think they’re better than BC Racing BR series?

    • @1320masshole
      @1320masshole  8 месяцев назад

      Really depends on the driving you plan to do. If you do alot of daily/street driving then yes H&R are the better choice. If you’re looking for a coilover for drag racing that has some adjustability then BC may be better. I would go Pedders for a drag racing specific setup over BC though.

    I have been looking at a set of these for my BMW E39 as they are quite a bit cheaper than replacing with OEM. I want something that retains the ride refinement of the OEM but but maybe a little sharper on turns. I don't track or race the car, just daily driving with occasional spirited cross country driving. Are these a good sporty daily option for an old BMW? I was thinking of trying the Dinan sway bars as well for a little more sharpness in turns, but can't find much info on them..

    • @1320masshole

      That is exactly what these gave me for my Pontiac G8 as far as ride quality. I couldn’t really tell you how they are for BMWs, I’ve never ridden in one lol.

    Hey bro great video very informative and beautiful car,I'm hoping you can help me with a question I have i will try my best to ask it without confusing you I'm looking at getting some H&R coilovers for my dodge challenger my question is do these coilovers compress alot?do they have alot of travel like do they bounce?are they soft or stiff? As opposed to like some bc coilovers that have stiffer spring rates,the reason I ask is because I'm running some wheels with a pretty aggressive offset so i don't want a suspension that's to soft that it will start rubbing my tires on bumps or dips,but I like comftarbility you say these have,thank you

    • @1320masshole
      @1320masshole  3 года назад +1

      They aren’t as stiff as BCs or similar type racing coilovers but they aren’t bouncy either. My dragracing wheel/tire setup is pretty aggressive and I don’t have any rubbing issues on hard launches. They are a progressive spring rate so the more force applied the stiffer they get so if you’re driving and hit a big dip they will stiffen to absorb the dip then go back to a more relaxed ride. Thats the best way I could think of explaining it, I hope that helps.

      @@1320masshole I appreciate the reply brother,as this car is my daily do you think the progressive springs will stiffen up in time to prevent any fender with tire contact when I hit the dips on a freeway? Or do you think a linear spring would be better for me,thanks again!

    • @1320masshole
      @1320masshole  3 года назад

      @@renameduser5279 honestly hard to say either way without knowing how much wheel gap you have static. Have you thought about rolling/pulling your fenders to give you some extra room to work with?

    • @renameduser5279
      @renameduser5279 3 года назад

      @@1320masshole yeah I already tucked the lip on the inside of my fenders because it made contact on big freeway dips and i have no more rubbing but since I will lower the the car I'm trying to figure which would be better if a linear spring coilover or progressive spring coilover

    • @MichaelSmith-ov1nf
      @MichaelSmith-ov1nf 9 месяцев назад

      Neither setup will cause it to rub progressive will ride nice and stiffen up as you launch or take corners and linear is stiff all the time and better meant for smooth roads/ racetracks
