I went with progress cs2 on my integra. Brand new is under $600 with a coupon code. The only adjustment you can make is spring preload but you can choose from a long list of spring rates depending on your goals for the car. They ride amazing and have the perfect height for a daily. Replacement parts are also available if needed.
I spent less than $400 on my suspension setup and it handles better than a lot of more expensive cars. Just a set of Swift Sport springs and a rear sway bar. You don't need coilovers on your street car most of the time. You're going to set them to the setting you like and leave them alone until you either sell the coilovers or the car. So just get a set of good springs and be done with it anyways.
how has it held up over the years? did you install on stock struts and shocks? im thinking i need new struts and shocks when i get lowering springs because i got this civic at 116k miles, and im not sure if the previous owner maintained and replaced them.
And if you’re feeling frisky you can add some fireball whiskey to it. (I know, ew fireball what are you, a child?) the eggnog is so strong that any bad taste from the fireball is covered up while the cinnamon accents the eggnog and you get the best taste while also getting drunk as sin on the great lords birthday
I got those bc racing coilovers last tax season. Definitely worth the upgrade from my old hand-me-downs my brother gave me. Though I went the other way and lifted my car up. If you can't clear speed bumps at speed limit, what's the point. I'll be honest, tein's gravel series were my first choice but those deals ended and shot up to nearly double my budget.
an interesting company I ended up going with on my RX8 was YCW, they come stock with swift springs, mostly because YCW is swifts coilover subsidiary. only problem is fitment availability is a little lacking. BMW guys love them. Silvers is probably what will be going on my Mazda 3 Turbo next month
I have BC Racing coilovers in my cobalt and I love them. they take a little to dial in everything for street driving but that goes for most adjustable sets.
I run BC BR coilovers on my Altima. I had them for about a year and a half now. Recently bought swift springs to improve the ride quality. Havent installed them yet.
I ended up going with the Silvers coil overs on my 2019 Subaru WRX. It's my daily driver and I've been super happy with them. Glad you guys mention them. Keep up the good work
I also like the combination of things like the coilover sleeves on custum shocks and struts like koni. You have to do a little more work and its also cheaper but you get just as much adjustability and security as a good coilover set.
Koni yellow with ground controls is probably the best bang for your buck considering it's about 800 dollars and koni offers lifetime warranty, it's what I ran on my car and it rode great
I'm looking into coilovers for my Evo X because the stock shocks are really pissing me off always breaking and clicking and stuff... would you say the BCs are worth it or should I go TEIN?
Huh that's new to me! I never realized you can go higher than stock on coils aside from the made-for-rally style ones...? Perfect for my snowplow FRS in the winter. Forgot what's it like to drive a non-lowered car in AGES. 🤣
@@mc116 Yes you can go higher on coilovers dude lol. Same with my '97 Civic I had some TA Technix coilovers and I could go 8cm higher and 5cm lower from the stock height

I have d2 street and track coilovers 36way adjustable IN my e30 they were 100-200dollars less than bc track and street pack and I've been using and abusing them in the e30 since 3 years now. They are really really good

I'm using Silvers because here in Australia because Koni and Bilstein ignore one of the most popular performance cars here. Yet they make them for non perf taxi style vehicles.
I so needed to see this… I have a nice 2005 Honda Accord with a great base but it has some rust and I want to upgrade the inside and some of the out… lights, headliner, suspension, rims, radio, etc… thanks for this video ….
What advice would you give for a person who wants just original quality oe match to a G37 infiniti suspension coil overs at a budget price? (Worth purchasing) 😅
Seriously PLEASE do a From The Gallery episode where all the cars featured are running lowering springs. They don’t get enough appreciation and ppl have to see that they’re good for what they’re designed for!
