When I lived there for 6 months twice back in the late 90's, I remember a can of coke was like 8.00 us$, not sure about now.
what? a can of coke was 8.00 us$? no way.
even 500ml can coke is less than us$1 supermarket price in Japan.

I love Tokyo. The most marvelous city I lived in. When you stay there for long, you might be decepointed by other cities outside Japan.

I went to Tokyo very briefly last year but didn't get to Harajuku, it's not really what I imagined.
There are definitely two sides to Harajuku. Most people only associate it with the loud and visually expressive style, but there's also a distinct amount of subtle class and sophistication to the backstreets. Hoepfully you'll get the chance to visit another time!

Not sure if someone else would have commented but that noise isn't birds but actually a bug called a cicada, they are VERY noisy in the summer :) I didn't believe it when I first came. Lovely video and I loved all your shots!
Yeah I learnt about them this summer whilst in Japan. Noisy little buggers aren't they! I *always* forget the name of them though 🙄

Yeah man, Osaka and Kyoto are pretty awesome cities. I've made some travel videos from trips there in the past couple of years, though not dedicated photography ones... yet.

I've long fancied a trip to Japan, and seeing your videos, I now know where I'm going for my 50th. Me, the family, and my x100t. I am curious though, why you expanded to include the 5dii and 70-200 in this vid? Is it that you've used them previously but not included in the video's? Either way, love your work, and your style.
Glad I've been able to inspire a travel destination for you - Japan is a lot of fun! The 7D and 70-200 have long been a favourite setup of mine and featured quite a lot in previous videos before I got the X100F. I just felt on this particular day that the length of the lens matched with the length of the streets could offer something quite interesting!

Harajuku has *far* more than the stereotypical image it's often portrayed as having. Glad I was able to share a different side to it!

@joe that house 3:18 is a phtographer's house. It has been explode in the internet for ahwile now. The whole entire house is a studio at every corner.
