- I meant to say 90 degree angle not 45 degrees
I ended up leaving the lanyard paracord on there. It helps
I also take back what I said about it not being a good chopper. It chops really well.
With the combination of the right sheath and set up, the heaviness of the knife is not as noticeable. I need to emphasize more about the edge. Since it has such a broad blade, it really aids in cutting power. Had it been as steep as a Ka-bar design, it wouldn’t be as good at finer cutting or other tasks.
Sick Tops blade!
Such a big, heavy, impractical blade...ordered one yesterday
Granted I get the weight thing but I love old fashioned Bowie knives and this is the best modern/classic out there without it being to extreme of modern like cold steal or classic but weak like shrade that's why I cant wait to get this knife tops always hits the nail on the head and I love it about their stuff
I went on a trip with some buddies. One of them had the Longhorn Bowie and another hade a Dark Timber OG Grizzly. Both of them put my Esee 6 to shame. I’ve since upgraded to the Longhorn. It performs great. The Dark Timber has become a Grail Blade for me... unfortunately they seem to be made of “Unobtainium”...lol
Hard knife to find
Tops Mohawk Hunter is a nice tactical/fighting blade. I love tops. My bugout bag blades is the tops yacare and Mohawk hunter with the tops ice dagger as a neck knife
Nice review! I have a TOPS Mission Team 21, they say it's a fighting/survival knife, but it is very heavy especially for a combat knife (16.4oz) and i think
the cutting edge is small compared to the length of the knife.
Longhorn bowie vs prather war bowie? Which is your favourite and why?
Typical crappy sheath
