    The Prather War Bowie is another one on my list. I love the look of that knife. I'm not a fan of traction blade coatings though. Is the one on the War Bowie really rough? I'd like to remove that when I get it and blue the blade. Great review Brother. What was your MOS? 1 vet to another... THANK YOU for your service.

      You could fix that handle gap issue on the War Bowie by doing a 550 cord wrap on the front 1/3 of the handle wrapping it thicker towards the front and tapering the layers as you go back. Just a thought 👍🙂

    • @DonnieBAllDay
      @DonnieBAllDay  3 месяца назад

      its not crazy rough, but you'll feel it. It never interfered with the flow of cut. My MOS was all over the place. I went to MRAP school in SC and ran mission team in Afghanistan 2011/12 for the Kabul nut cluster of FOBs. I broke my back before that so they put me in a 92G slot to keep me in as long as I could go to a unit that didn't cook. I was originally going in as 13B and had a dream offer from the Major of the 20th SF group in MA. He called me into his office(I was a pissant E3 at the time) and I thought he just wanted me to take out his trash. He looked at me and said, we want you with SF. They were going out and it was their riggers last tour. He wanted to send me to jump school and take over as rigger when they got back. Dream job! But because of my back injury, I could still jump, but I couldn't run the 5 mile needed for jump school and that just pissed in my cheerios. Toured with the 126th though. Over 300 missions and I can handle a Maxx-Pro like a Corvette. Got offered my stripes only 3 years after signing up. Not too shabby

      Donnie B All Day Hahahahahahahaha
      I gotta be honest here ...
      I may regret it but I won an auction on a fantasy blade . ( about 2 months ago ).
      It was designed by one of my favorites too !
      It was rather pricey .
      At the last minute , after staring at the blade for about a day , I decided that if I was going to spend that amount of money on a blade , I’d rather get something else .
      So I sent the seller a message requesting cancellation and he was nice enough to do so .
      Honestly didn’t really like it .
      Just so not my style ya know .
      Even though it was designed by one of my hero’s .
      Now if the price was a lot lower ( I mean A LOT )!!.... Perhaps one day I will buy one if available. ( just for collecting purposes).
      Just so many gorgeous blades out there !!
      I tell ya - it’s a sickness I suffer from haha .
