Oiling Your Scalp For GROWTH and Scalp HEALTH

- *** Hey loves! Here's a list of all the oils I bought/mentioned that can help with hair growth and scalp health. What I like most about these oils is they seem to get the blood flowing to the follicle which is most important for a strong foundation of healthy hair. They also help to keep the shaft strong which is also important for length retention. I'm gonna make my own lil mixture so I let you all know how it works out soon!

It’s right because protecting our mental health by being “distracted” by natural hair videos is important!
I agree, The protests are all over IG & Facebook so RUclips is an escape.

such GOALS!! My hair WILLLLLLL be this length!!!!!!!
When I was young, when black people IN GENERAL were younger in the 80's we ALL had hair down our backs. How? Because we all had jheri curls. I know it's funny NOW but seriously, we all just kept our hair and scalps saturated with oils, gels, sprays and kept it tied up in plastic at night. We also rarely washed it, because it ruined the jheri.
I don't wash my hair but twice a month and keep it moist with a spray bottle and Jamaican mango castor oil, but my secret is Black Magic grease. I re- braid it every two days along with a good massage and it's growing so fast that I feel like crying! You're hair goals tho for real tho ♥.
yeh my G-ma had long hair &she had a jerri curl lol
Me n my sisters DID NOT have jheri curls. My mom didn't allow that. We still had hair down our backs. She would take care of our hair and grease it to the scalp every other day and we would get our hair hot combed very seldom. I still use grease til this day
Indeed, long hair for many black women, wasn't an issue in the 80's and the 90's. Great times ☺️
@@MissNolver you all are revising history. Most black girls and women did not have hair down their backs. Ask the girls who actually had hair down their backs. We did not have a lot of company. If that was the truth, we wouldn't have constantly been bombarded with the comments, hands in our hair, and sometimes the jealousy. Just stop and think back.
@@monember2722 Thank you! We didn't have much company and the jealous was real.
The intro of yours is very beautiful. While as a born-again Christian I firmly believe, we live in the last days, God also knows that a change is needed for all black people in the world. He never closes His eyes to injustice. This is why I believe that God had awakened the heart of the world, to speak out against this colonial racism that has such a grip on this world. And I believe that this is the time that God will do major things to break this diabolical system 🙏🏾
As for using oils, essential oils, DIY oils and many other oils like castor oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, Jamaican black castor oil, tonka oil and many many more, are a *huge* staple of my hair regimen. I also mix my oils with hair grease or shea butter. I use them at least twice a week for my scalp and moisturizing my hair with water. Since March 2020, I've accelerated my hair hair growth rate and in May even more...it grows so fast that it's "scary" 😀
Great video! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾💙
♥️

It's the massaging of the scalp that promotes hair growth.
Yes, I massaged every other day with oil mixture for one week while doing a semi inversion method. I grew like almost one inch of hair that week. Praise God !!
i added black Jamaican castor oil and coconut oil together with blue magic and I put it on my scalp and massage it in but I’m not sure if it will help my hair grow
On days you dont use oil even if u sitting and wtv just massage your scalp ....u will be amazed
solarlola 9 Which oils did you use pleaase
Taslim she listed it in the description box
Your hair is beyond gorgeous. Love watching your hair videos.
Thank you so much 🥰
@@EbonysCurlyTV do you have to put water in your hair before you oil it or?
I oil my scalp every week! I use grease and oils. Your hair looks so gorgeous and it’s my hair goals! God bless you for remembering George Floyd.
🖤🖤🖤
Do you wash your hair afterwards??
@@omniaelkhalifa7281 what benefits would oiling and greasing the hair have when you wash it out straight away?
Our ancestors have always used oil and grease to give our scalps some love. At least twice a month, I oil my scalp with mint, olive oil, jamaican castro oil, and black seed oil. Also, I still use old school grease. My hair is waist length. Big momma was right. Love the video.
We have to move forward and remember these are the last days that the Bible has prophesied and more is to come, so live life we still love you.
Amen!
Amen!
Faith Mumba - I do agree

Exactly! **2 Timothy 3:1-5,13** 'But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away...But wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse, misleading and being misled.' jw.org
I use my ayurvedic growth oil to my scalp 3x a week. It has been working amazing for my hair
Thanks for your intro speech, it is appreciated that you expressed this.
Thank you for choosing to live while also supporting the cause that's going on. It is certainly life with its good and bad.
🥰🥰😌
Avocado oil on the scalp is so moisturizing and never irritates my scalp. I mix it with jbco and rosemary.
You and 22nd Century Natural Woman are some of my favorite natural hair youtubers. Hair so long and beautiful.
I can't believe that is your hair. How is that possible?? I'm a new subber and I'm going through your channel looking for hair care tips! It's amazing.
Yepp she said that's 10 years of hair growth on her head! Motivation 😩🙌🏽
*You can use olive oil to make your hair look good and feel healthy.*
It is _no secret_ that heat styling makes it hard for you to grow new hair, but the oils found in *olive oil work as a protectant against those high temperatures* by creating a shield around natural keratin which _contains antioxidants, vitamin E, and oleic acid._ Olive Oil also has _anti-inflammatory properties which may help with treating dandruff too!_
Your hair is beautiful 💯 You have the prettiest hair on youtube 💕. Has your hair always been this long? There is a whole lot going on in this world today. Thank you for the nice words and continue to push on
You have the prettiest hair out of ALL BLACK WOMEN ON RUclips. 💙
We still need this information no matter what is going on in the world, we still need to oil our scalp so I can't imagine why anyone would find it inappropriate to post informative videos. Thank you for this!
Agree
Guurl u r BEAUTIFUL inside AND out! No makeup and all. A natural beauty❣️💯
Wow what she said in the beginning of the video, I really needed that.
❤❤❤❤ it and I will definitely be checking my Stash I think I have a Majority of them. Love this. #BlackLivesMatter!!!✊🏾✊🏾
BLACK LIVES MATTER!!! 🖤🖤🖤
Love ❤️ the video! And like others have said....it is a needed distraction. People need outlets to take their minds off the constant negative information and energy that permeates the airwaves and internet. Your hair is beautiful! 🔥😍😍🔥!! Keep up the good work and remember....you don’t know your positive impact until you do something! You have a positive spirit and people feel that. Cut yourself some slack! 🙏🏾
I LOVEE that Curls Blueberry Oil! I’m on my second big chop from tailbone length and The Curls oil mixed with Jamaican Black Castor Oil works! I flip my head upside down and massage every wash day.
Doing my hair & these natural hair videos have been therapy for me more than ever in this time so thank you. please keep them coming!
Woooooooooow 😮🙆I never get used to yo hair girrrrrrrl. I always watch & drop my jaw literally drop it. 😰😰😰😰so cool, thank God for it everyday darling. It's my prayer to get that length
Your hair looks like some beautiful Eurasian wavy bundles 😍
If I had her hair. Her hair texture. Her shine. Her beauty. I could rule the world!
I love the essential oils you mentioned. Castor and olive oil are my staples.
Extra virgin olive oil is my go to
I'm telling myself I clicked the video to learn new techniques but I just wanted to see how glorious your hair is lmaooo 😂 But part of this movement is encouraging people to support Black creators/businesses in general so it's ok to post content. We have been speaking about racism for years. With everything that happened + more people actually listening/getting involved it can be overwhelming. ALL of us need to take mental health breaks...you have to take care of yourself before you can fight for world issues at large.
Thank you for this 🙏🏾
You’re hair is beautiful. This is goals
Good gosh! Hair is long and beautiful! 😩
GOD...Your hair is BEAUTIFUL!!
The alkalinity in Jamaican black is better for low porosity hair because it opens it up.
Your respect by waiting with posting is more than words cant say! But thats also an extra power to continue posting cus we need this! We need to accept and loving ALL of ourselves and then love another. Looks like a beautiful start to STOP THIS HORIBLE MESS in the world!
Oooh girl been waiting for you to post!!❤️ I just recently started oiling my scalp and it doesnt itch anymore! Im glad you posted this video💯👏🏾👏🏾
So happy you’re happy 😊😘
I use avacado oil..nourished by shawta growth oil..amla oil.and my own mix using a combo of the above along with tea tree lavender rosemary peppermint and orange essential oil
Ebony, thank you for your intro. You reminded me to take care of myself. Your hair is so beautiful! Thanks for inspiring us in taking care of our crowning glory.
Your hair is beautiful. I try to keep my scalp and hair oiled every other day or when I feel it needs it
That was very easy and simply said, thank you. It really helped.
Happy to hear it!
I'm excited! I need help with dry scalp!

OMG. Your hair is BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVE your deep waves!!! And your length!!! You are blessed! Thank you for sharing
Your background is goalzzzz I hope one day I can get to the point of a lovely background like that.
Thank you so much! A lot of this stuff I got on sale SALE from pier 1 or from amazon.
Your hair is absolutely stunning x
It really is.
Beautiful background, not silly...there is also a concurrent focus on self care and this helps with our commitment to continually invest in ourselves and eliminate the toxicity.
Thank you for sharing oil options. I’m allergic to mentholated products such a mint and peppermint. So, it’s great to consider options.
Your hair, sis! How did you do that? It is beyond beautiful. If my hair could ever get that long and gorgeous, I have made it😭❤
Wow, I'm in love with your hair!! 😍😍
Love your background very beautiful
Thank you!
Thank you for this video. I really love grape seed oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E oil, Black Jamaican oil and avocado oil.
You are a gorgeous natural beauty. You're video was very informative and easy to follow. And unlike other videos were they're drowned out by loud music, your background music was not distracting! Anyway back to your video, great run through of natyral oils that can be used and are so beneficial for Black Hair of all types. Jamaica Castor oil is great! However, if one is going to apply it directly to the scalp, do so sparingly as it can drip drip! Remember the darker the oil, the more concentrated it is. Alsi, Its quite thick in consistency, so it can mixed with another oil to thin it out slightly. Plus you get the benefits of using two natural oils. JA Castor Oil can also be used as part of a hot oil treatment. Leaves hair feeling very soft.👍🏾 Keep making your videos. This one was Ace. 🇯🇲 🇬🇧
Appreciate you E and the thoughtfulness and beauty in speaking from your spirit. With all that's going on (I'm in the nation's capital) this is a welcome relaxing break. Onion seed, sapote, neem and marula are also good in addition to the staples you mentioned. Peace and Blessings 😍
Thank you! And great suggestions 😊
Love how you broke down the benefits of each oil! Thank you! Do you have a video showing how you mix all your oils or oil ratios?
Thanks again!
I will soon! Glad you enjoyed 🥰
You are showing so much love to your scalp and hair! You have amazing hair BTW all that love is manifesting.
Gal am in love with your hair
Thanks for the great video
I'd rather see hair videos then watch the news
Definitely
Thank you for your commentary on social justice and for your informative videos !! Love you Sis!
Love it, thank you for the outlet. Everyone can contribute to making these crazy, tough times better. 😁🤗😍😍😍😍
Your hair is GORGEOUS and so are you! I normally don't comment on these kind of videos but your hair is 😍😍😍
Thanks and these is hard time for all of us and I hope with everything that is going on change is the out come please things must change
Wow! Thanks for this video Beautiful 🥰 Very very informative:) I appreciate you doing the research for us. 🙌🏽👑
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed 😊
I personally feel the 2 things are directly connected. There's the systemic racial issues that led to George Floyd's death, and that same system led to the mass confusion of how women of color, women with textured hair, especially black women can take care of their hair, grow it and enjoy it. Racism created both those issues. Natural hair videos to me are history in the making. It shows how women like me (a black woman with natural hair for 10 yrs now) and others are fighting that conditioning, fighting back against racism doing something as simple and intimate as doing our own hair. That's why it's so popular. That's why it's therapeutic. For me, every time I do my hair, deep condition, a wash 'n' go, anything, it is so healing and gives me confidence.
WOW....ur hair is so long and healthy
GIRL YOU 'VE GOT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HAIR EVER!!!!😍😍😍😍😍🤩
i think my hair isn’t growing as much because my scalp is so dry and flakes up. going to try this. thank you.
Thx ebony...avacado oil had turned out too be my hairs literal savior..😉
I love avocados and avocado oil for hair!
I love this, I've been thinking of another oil to use beside Castor oil so thank you for a variety of oils to use! Oh but I still love castor oil I just need to change it up a little lol
Get rosemary, peppermint, tea tree and lavender oil as essential oils. They last longer and are more concentrated so a few drops mixed with a carrier oil goes a long way💙
Ur hair is so beautiful 😍😍😍😍 lord I need this length
aww this was uploaded on my birthday 💕
Lol “cover girl” ads got you.. “easy breezy”!! Lol
Omg your hair is so gorgeous
Thanks for posting Ebony, great video!
Thank you!
Great video Thank you so much ! Your hair is beautiful ! 💕❤️💕
#TeaTreeOil all the way. It helps with dry itchy scalp and it helped me grow my edges back after a setback ♥️. Your video has definitely inspired me to upload a video to RUclips on how I grew back my edges.
How did you use the tea tree to grow back your edges
@@deescott8312 You can get tea tree oil from a hair store walmart target ect and just dab it on your edges with your fingers
How often do you oil your scalp?
Your healthy hair is hair GOALS! It's so beautiful and your pretty lol
Thank you so much!

Amen! that right! Ebony don't let the social media news about any negative situation in the United States affect us African Americans. We all know that black lives matters. Yes! sis I agree when you said to stay encouraged and take care of yourself. God bless! you! and your family
Yes I love this distraction
I have type 3b hair and My hair is now really long. All I do is massage some jojoba oil with a little bit of black castor oil ( castor oil is really thick) and I always use tea tree oil...............or maybe it’s just genetics.
You’re hair is beautiful and so are you 🙌🏾🙌🏾👑🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much!
Wow your hair is so beautiful
Thank you!
@@EbonysCurlyTV I just want to ask you something I promise not to take much of your time

I LOVE YOUR HAIRRR!!
honestly i like pumpkin seed oil as well
Nice informative video about how to moisturize the scalp to help hair growth but I wonder how long do you leave it on your scalp before washing ? Xoxo
I love your hair 😍😍😍
Much needed distraction! Thank you 🤙🏽🤗
Neem oil is good also.
It issss!
Neem oil has amazing benefits, but the odor is extremely off! 🤢🤕😷
I recommend using Neem powder, Neem extract, or products with Neem (but not as the main/only ingredient).
@@leab.5849 u are 💯 correct.
Also I respect for what you do. Whew, it was a lot. 💜💜
