Omg this is animal cruelty! 😡🤬😡 I swear these aquariums shouldn't even exist! Animals are not toys or made of plastic they are living animals! They deserve to be free not in a cage how can people be so cruel how would they feel if they were in the same position just because they are animals they can't talk to defend themselves but gosh these are God's creations and we are the ones to blame...... Hope she gets free!!! Like the movie Free Willy! 🎬

How sad. 58 years old in that small tank. As a teenager I worked in the NY Aquarium and is get to work early and the first greetings I had were from Cathy and Noofy the two sweet beluga whales. I didn’t realize what an honor it was to have them come say hello through the glass. I also remember how traumatic it was to move them. In all honesty these mammals should not be in captivity unless they are unwell and unable to fend for themselves. Then they should be with a real nonprofit working in the location where the animal would normally live. I believe the NY Aquarium gave up all mammals. I hope this is true and I hope Lolita gets a forever home close to her natural habitat. Face it, she’s older, a long trip might be traumatic and I don’t believe a word they say about her current health.

@@gogereaver349 also they didn't care for her well. Oracs just have long lives especially females that tend to live til 100 in the wild. Just like humans .... So you see, just because you can put a human in a room and feed them enough to keep them alive, doesn't mean that they are living their lives and same can be said for Lolita and all the others in captivity. They are keeping her alive not caring for her well. Now that she is old and doesn't make them money she is no longer needed. It's just so evil.

Keiko was starved and lonely. He kept seeking human company while humans abandoned him and chased him away. His release was a tragic failure. I don't want the same to happen to Lolita.
She needs a much bigger pool and better care. I wish they could send her to SeaWorld.

    • @itsikabitch9005

@@CJ55981 Lolita is a Southern Resident. Four of SeaWorld Orlando's whales are Icelandic residents, and the fifth is 75% Icelandic resident and 25% Bigg's transient. If SeaWorld taught us anything, it's that orcas from different pods generally don't get along very well, which is also observed in the wild. Lolita is the only captive Southern Resident, so I think her best bet is a sea pen. Problem is the lengthy transport for an elderly animal, since a sea pen for her would essentially have to be in Washington. It's not impossible, notable examples of successful transport of elderly marine mammals include Ferdinand the beluga moving from Zoo Duisburg to SeaWorld San Diego in 2004 (although it should be noted that the elderly Commerson's dolphin that accompanied him, Yogi, died a couple months after the transfer), Semo the bottlenose dolphin moving from Minnesota Zoo to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in 2012, and Juan the Commerson's dolphin moving from SeaWorld San Diego to Aquatica Orlando in 2016 (although it should be noted that another elderly dolphin in that transfer, Betsy, died 7 days after the transfer). It's very hit or miss.
