Coolest part was when the sentinel said “Omega level mutant detected” while the camera was on Gambit, because on the low he is an omega level mutant! I think Mags being their too confused the sentinel because obviously, Mags is omega level.
No lie, I'm a massive Marvel fan and love almost everyone of their projects, but hands down this is THE best Marvel project of all time!

I have a feeling since Cable is involved the events that just happened with the Wild Sentinel are gonna be undone. We know there is a 3 part finale coming for the season finale.

No man, he needs to stay dead so we see there is stakes. This is the problem with the MCU phase 4 onwards. No stakes and no story.
Can't keep him dead. You don't cut off Marvel's best relationship like that 5 episodes in to season 1.

They are also getting the best elements from the comics and adapting into this animated timeline. The writers certainly know the x-men very well and know how to do it right.

The Game of Thrones comparison is so funny, cause its more the other way around. George R.R. Martin wrote letters to Marvel when he was a kid.

Incredible adaptation. Better than anything to come out of the MCU in a long long time. Give these writers a 10 season contract + 5 movies
*X-Men '97* is not part of the MCU. That said, X-Men '97 will consist of at least three seasons. MARVEL Studios' *untitled X-Men live action feature film* is in development, and is expected to be part of The Multiverse Saga (MCU: Phase Six).
X-Men '97 is in the 90s Marvel Animated Universe not the MCU.

the avengers never cared for mutants at all! they just sit there and watch, even though they could defeat the sentinels and help mutants

@@rachetmarvel931it is more often than not. Genosha ("Where were you when our babies were burning?"), House of M, AvX. The biggest exception to this is the current Fall of the House of X, where the Avengers stand with them without the mutants having to beg for their help. Avengers really fill their role of supercops the moment mutants are in trouble
@@donnatroy5381Well for Avengers v X-men they were really fighting them because they thought a child of Jean Grey with the Phoenix would be too big a threat which was fairly reasonable

Got to admit when lm wrong, l had little hope for this series but you guys, especially with episode 5, are blowing the competition out of the water.

I rhink a lot of people felt the way you did. They just are not adult enough to admit it.
Animation has never been more better than ever in this decade.
This has single-handledly become some of the best animation on streaming right now. And the more you lived through the innocence of youth watching the old series every Saturday morning, the more this new one hits your nearly 30 years older jaded self so much more deeply.
I need this type of storytelling to return to live action. This series showed what marvel COULD BE/SHOULD BE.
Marvel has delivering quality for years. Maybe pay more attention
@@jmjimvas0To an extent, however to me at least some of the movies haven’t clicked. The last alright movie/movies I really enjoyed was Shang Chi and maybe Eternals. (Idk if No Way Home would be included because of the rights with Sony but if you want to count that as well, that makes 3)

Whoever steps into beau demayos role for season 3 had huge shoes to fill.
this show has continued to just blow away any expectations I had, I remember fondly the Saturday mornings on Fox Kids and this makes me feel like a kid again but at the same time glad I can enjoy it as an adult.
5 episodes in and it already feels like an Avengers Endgame status! This is the best thing Disney + has to offer now! Bring it on!

And Kevin [Feige] was like, 'Alright, if we can get the [original] cast and we can get the song, let's do it.' And fortunately, we were able to do that."

Captain America exists in the 90s Marvel cartoons universe, this isn't MCU Cap. Cap has an appearance in the X-Men Season 5 episode Old Soldiers.
What's funny is back in the 90's, showing Cap's shield in a promo would have been met with a "Meh." The MCU (and Avengers: EMH) did a lot to boost Steve's cred back up.
Cap was already heavily popular. His first ever comic sold 1 million. Even has a fan club back then called the sentinels of liberty. And early cosplayers in events can be seen ppl cosplay as cap. Do you even k ow men in black made a captain America reference before I mean he was pretty much in a lot of marvel games and projects like marvel super heroes fighting game and all. I knew him since late 90's and memory surge me when mua 1 made me remember all this Characters in the same Universe
This is not true at all. AT ALL. The original 90's X-Men TAS had an episode with Captain America and Wolverine that was hyped by everyone.

Just so you would understand, the Civil War comic that was a whole Iron Man X Captain America thing released in 2006 with stories that began way early, late 80's if I'm not mistaken and Cap was already one of the most impactful hero in the whole Marvel Universe. And one of the most popular too.

I won’t lie…As a hardcore 90s X-Men TAS fan, I was skeptical that this show would be able to recapture any of the magic of the former show. But, thus far, I have been very impressed! Please Disney, don’t screw this up! You guys finally have a Disney+ hit! I truly hope it comes out on DVD eventually!

X-Men is the best pop culture franchise, and this series really does it justice. The best thing Marvel has put out since Endgame.

Everything from the animation, storytelling, music and even the soap opera drama and twists were outstanding. Rogue and Gambit's relationship was so interesting and poetic with excellent writing, almost Shakespearean. That ending alone had my mouth on the floor. Gambit went out like an *ABSOLUTE G!!!* "Sugar... I can't feel you," nah I can't😭
I loved seeing my boy Nightcrawler, too; he's always been my favourite X-men.

If anyone remembers the original series, it feels like a setup to days of future past, with a mix of Beyond Good and Evil, Part 1-5: The End of Time. We saw clips of Cable and Apocalypse, along with the evolved Sentinels. Either way episode 5 was sad😢 can't wait for the rest of the season...

No he wouldn't. The clone is an exact copy of Jean straight to her DNA. It's not the same as Morph or Mystique simply shapeshifting into another person.
