He can literally just turn that "off" if he wanted.
I don't even think messing with the magnetosphere is even all that hard for him. And not really impressive. I think Magneto will be blamed for all those human sentinels "dying". They'll look at it as going overboard for what happened in Genosha. Plus with Xavier being revealed as alive. It's about to get thicker.
Bastian, the president and OZT declared war first when they slaughtered Genosha. Magneto is just accepting their terms. You don't to cry about casualties when you take the first lives.
No, they weren't. Bastion wanted to enslave them. Magneto also could've easily destroyed the facility, Sinister and Bastion...you know the people that attacked Genosha? Instead he left and decided to kill millions in a tantrum.
@@blackmanwithcomputer You weren't paying attention. The vast majority of mutants in Cable's timeline are dead, with the very FEW that survived being slaves, if his goal was to enslave them there'd be a lot more of them in the future than there are now. Further, destroying the sentinel facility would've done nothing, there were thousands if not tens of thousands of sentinels around the globe, literally even if he was still a "good guy" this was still about the best he could've done. Further, world governments conspired to do Genosha, as well as secretly turn their citizens into sentinel hybrids, it wasn't just a few individuals.
When a human admits Magneto was right, that means shit has really hit the fan! Magneto showed *tolerance* towards humanity and it led to the *extinction* of mutants in Genosha. That's why Magneto said "Enough!" as he now means war!
the point of them not even being surprised is so heartbreaking and real. it's exactly what I thought when jubilee and roberto were attacked in the mall, jubilee didn't look surprised at all. it could pass as her character just being more light hearted and cracking jokes, but no, it's cleverly crafted visual storytelling. jubilee is only 18, she's an outgoing teen who loves videogames, and yet she reacts so casually to a bunch of humans turning into cyborgs to murder her in the middle of a mall while she is out shopping with her boyfriend. incredible show
It really is a perfect representation of being discriminated. Everything is fine until people, even ones who know you suddenly turn when they discover what you are. Roberto lives in fear of discovery and is shocked when they turn but Jubilee wears it on her sleeve and practically expects it. It shows no matter what you do people will turn into monsters and your only not shitty option is to roll with the punches and thrive in the fight because those are the only ways you can exert any control in your life while everyone seems hellbent on taking that control away. Living with the ever present risk turns you apathetic after too long and sadly Jubilee has already become that to their racism, same shit different day.
To be fair, humiliated implies Magneto had something to feel humiliated about. He might feel absolutely murderous at Bastion, but he ain't feeling shame at being tortured and held captive.
And for one single moment; there was a cold silence on the world. Not a scream, a beep, a sound, a crash. Just silence as the earth had one single moment of cold dark peace
You have to admit Magneto did his best to be better but you can’t put a guy through a second genocide and expect him to brush it off. Society let him down and he wasn’t strong enough to save his people again. This is why Magnetos most powerful phrase is “Never again”
The saddest part about this is that after all the effort magneto put into being the man charles wanted him to be he is pushed into once again becoming the villain he swore never to become again, at times like this i think who is the real monster here, the villain or the society that constantly forces the villain to exist
@@TheDCbizthe entire speech is a reference to how everytime a tragedy happens, like a school shooting, bombing, or even an ongoing genocide, people will care about it for a day before going on with their lives and acting like it never happened or won’t happen again.

@@blackmanwithcomputer you're right! And the rest of humanity watches as said handful plots genocide. But hey! It was apathy, not malice. Does it matter to the dead? Well we aren't to answer that. If we live in apathy to atrocities, we must be consistent.
I've noticed that in the comments of another video that Bastion was planning on Magneto escaping and declaring war on humanity but I disagree. Bastion's entire plan rests on his prime sentinel program and the fact that his body is technically that of a mutant, one who can control technology. Magneto's response (that is what this was, not an attack) just devastated every active piece of electronic equipment on earth that wasn't adequately shielded, which is probably over 80% of all tech. Hospitals, various military bases, transportation, communications, etc: all gone. Food can't be preserved or transported, materials can't be manufactured, and financial transactions can't be processed. The world's governments have no choice but to focus on restoring basic necessities and maintain/restore public order. They'll need to employ their remaining military assets (the ones not active when Magneto used his power) to do this with any sort of speed and efficiency. Bastion is now left to fight his war against mutantkind with just his prime sentinels, which at best have been severely reduced in numbers. All in all, Bastion's in a tight spot now.
Technically MasterMind declared this war sending the shape shifting nanobot called Nimrod to the past to make a nanobot mutant baby with a human woman. Bastion is that baby all grown up and working with villains to exterminate and enslave mutants
@@fbiuzzbut Gyrich declared war back in EP 1 of the first season with sentinels hunting down mutants and enslaving them. Also tests on wolverine occured before that

I agree. Murdering every man woman and child on an airplane, wearing a pacemaker, being kept alive by machines, or y'know just in a position where mechanical failer means death really was neccisary. Kudos magneto, you've surpassed every monster you've encountered. Your enemies were right.
@@RedCornix This is an impossible, lose-lose situation. You cannot judge someone fighting for their and their people's survival, after being traumatize no less. Genosha was bastion's doing but the sentinel program was still going on aided by some of the world's governments. Don't play coy here. The US dropped the a-bomb on japan. Before which (and many don't know this) over 200,000 japanese died, mainly in tokyo, from heavy "conventional bombing". The governments of England and France and all of the "West" where on board with it. How do you justify killing hundreds of thousands of civilians just to end the war? (they were not even under any threat at that point, while Magneto and the entire mutant are under an existential one).
While this is an epic scene that showcases what an Omega mutant can really do it’s kinda fringe horror when you think about it. How many cars lost control in traffic when their battery’s died? How much financial data was lost on the internet? How many medical care machines were shut off for critical patients? How many planes just fell out of the sky? Wolverines right. Magneto declared war.
I thought of that, too. I wonder if the show will actually acknowledge those deaths going forward. Although a lot of mutants were also killed on Genosha. And despite the claims of those 2 Sentinels who took Jubilee and Sunspot, I’m guessing a lot of the other Sentinels were using lethal force against mutants until Magneto’s wave shut them down.

Finally, in a mainstream x-men show someone showed just how strong Magneto is. After all the jokes about how "just use a wooden gun and magneto can't do anything" or "just use wood against him, ha ha, it's magnets lol" they finally showed what this guy can actually DO.
Dude. . . he doesn't just "do magnet stuff", he can tap into the earth's magnetic field. You know, the thing that protects us from the sun's radiation? He can literally just turn that "off" if he wanted.
The original series showed how powerful he was especially asteroid m
I don't even think messing with the magnetosphere is even all that hard for him. And not really impressive. His best use of his power is when he stops the iron in ANYONE AND EVERYONE's blood stream and renders them unable to move or use their powers because they can't metabolize or do any biological functions.
@@kennyhudson9201A lot of people don't realize he can do that... Literally had the Xmen and X Factor dead to rights before if he wanted to actually kill them.
@@kennyhudson9201I mean Magneto is the master of magnetism and the entire universe depends on electromagnetism. Full power magneto wouldn’t ever be shown because tbh he could end pretty much any threat in an instant.
Like light is electromagnetic radiation.
We need Nate grey X-Man to show how powerful an omega level can be. Magneto isn’t on Nate’s level.
Wolverine: Magneto just declared war
Magneto: Declared? War has been declared and ended
Dude says 1 word in the whole episode and its STILL the coldest line in the whole episode
You're right I didn't even realize that !!!!
I love how everyone's forgetting about how the sentinels were about to wipe out every living mutant on Earth, which is partially why Magneto did this.
MAGNETO WENT "NO MORE SENTINELS!"

the point of them not even being surprised is so heartbreaking and real. it's exactly what I thought when jubilee and roberto were attacked in the mall, jubilee didn't look surprised at all. it could pass as her character just being more light hearted and cracking jokes, but no, it's cleverly crafted visual storytelling. jubilee is only 18, she's an outgoing teen who loves videogames, and yet she reacts so casually to a bunch of humans turning into cyborgs to murder her in the middle of a mall while she is out shopping with her boyfriend.
incredible show
It really is a perfect representation of being discriminated.
Also is kind of a trowback of how as 13 she was chase by sentinels in the original show.
"I did not start this, but I will finish it."
Ever wonder what that sentence looks like in an action?
It looks like this.
I can’t believe the hardest line so far is “enough”
Imagine being hunted twice for just being you and only now saying "Enough". Magneto could do it anytime he wanted yet he tried to be more level heade
Magneto: "Now I'm everyone's problem."
"And in the darkness bind them".
Refetences ....
He tried it Xavier's way. What did that get him a massacre, being bound and humiliated. No wonder the guy said Enough
To be fair, humiliated implies Magneto had something to feel humiliated about. He might feel absolutely murderous at Bastion, but he ain't feeling shame at being tortured and held captive.
That was the most Badass moment Magneto has ever done. Uses Earth’s own magnetic pole to creat the most powerful EMP.
As he should, take them all king.
Now i understand that growing up means to think "MAGNETO WAS ALWAYS RIGHT".
I'm so glad she acknowledged Magneto was right. This whole season I was saying that.
So... you're saying that genociding all homosapiens is "right?"
How many more times man. How many more times can you take the same thing, and it starts over again?
"...back from where he started." It's 'Magneto was right back from where he started'.
"What must we do to be good enough? Is this the high road's destination? If so, I say as I have too many times before...Never Again." - Magneto
The saddest part about this is that after all the effort magneto put into being the man charles wanted him to be he is pushed into once again becoming the villain he swore never to become again, at times like this i think who is the real monster here, the villain or the society that constantly forces the villain to exist
Magneto was so mad he didn't even stop to get any clothes. He went straight to the North Pole to shut down the whole world in his draws! 😮

Correction - humanity started this war, not Magneto.
"Do not make me let you down." Magneto!
Magneto launched nuclear missiles back in Episode 3 of the original series. The war had already begun.
In essence...and I apologize if this sounds extreme...humanity is Imperial Japan on Dec 7th, 1941.
Also tests on wolverine occured before that
Even after being persecuted and experiencing genocide at the hands of humans, watching his family and friends be murdered time and time again, he still decided to go through Charle's route of peace. And they still let him down. Bro's reaction was not only completely reasonable but absolutely necessary.
My boyfriend and I said the same thing? Like how many in critical care just died across the world?
Yup. That was probably Bastion´s plan all along. He knew Valerie Cooper would ended up releasing Magneto. This will only futher bastion´s goal. Cant wait for next weeks episode
No, war was declared at Genosha. Magneto is just beginning the counter-attack.
