I just noticed that on magneto's case file it has the names of Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender, who both have played magneto in live action, as aliases which magneto used in the past

Disney has gotten so many things wrong, but this was a grand slam. Unfortunately, they fired the director of X97 over a bunch of nonsense, so don't expect the same level in the next season. A different person will be in charge.

The rebirth of this classic has exceeded my expectations by leagues. Watching this with my sons as if I were watching the original with my childhood friends has been beautiful. I am so grateful.

I really hope Disney brought Beau DeMayo back as showrunner for the future season X-Men 97 gets. He really did the series justice with the way his episodes played out and felt.
Out of all these cameos that were seen throughout, Cloak and Dagger were the LAST people I ever expected Marvel to acknowledge again, let alone in THIS show. And the fact that this is seemingly the first time they've appeared in this universe is just as surprising in itself here.

Seeing Magneto struggle with PTSD really hit as someone who struggles with it. Seeing Charles saying he wouldn’t leave him almost made me cry. It’s how I felt when my wife came into my life. Someone finally helped me surface back to reality

If Season 1 was this damn good Season 2 Is about to be insane and I cannot wait!!! X Men was my favorite back when I was young and once again now in my 30s! Couldn't of expecting anything better they better win some awards for how great the creators did on this!

I guess technically she’s his aunt, but really his step mom. What’s weird to me is that she called Scott her husband, but in the comics it was Madelyne that married Scott.

Cloak and dagger too
This show is quite literally perfect! As someone who grew up with the original X-Men The Animated Series, seeing X-Men '97 makes me smile from ear to ear. It's clear the creators have much love for the original series as well as the comics. They probably grew up loving the series like a lot of original fans. This show easily gets an S ranking from me along with Endgame, Infinity War, and a couple of other movies. I can't wait for season 2 and more to come! I'm hoping that Kevin and the rest of Marvel will consider bringing other Marvel 90's shows back for continuations like Spider-Man for example and give the same treatment. Give me a whole side pocket of the MCU with interconnected 90s show continuations. That's cool with me. I'm hoping the wait for Season 2 isn't too long because I need it start soon. I absolutely can't wait!
Also on that Magneto files under his aliases the two names that were somewhat cencorse I think are a reference to both Sir Ian Mckellen and Michael Fassbender who both played the live action version of Magneto and honestly that was such a clever easter egg that you wouldn’t notice at first.

Did you notice that both her and quicksilver were "off world" that had me intrigued.
Rogue was MVP of season 1. She delivered an amazing a$$ whooping to Bastian. Cyclops finally was given his flowers after 24 years of being disrespected by the Fox films. I'm getting the feeling we're going to see Jubilee grow into her powers in the next season. It was great to see a brief cameo from Psylocke, she was one of my favorite X-men in the 90s. I wish I could be put into a cryosleep chamber until season 2. lmao
And I wanted to join her and tap dance all over Bastion’s azz.
Rogue redeemed herself at the end but she was also apart of the reason why Gambit died. It goes back to you not realize how much you value something until it’s gone.

Went from everyone's least favorite, to a fan favorite over night and continued to kick ass the entire season. True leader of the X-Men!

Cyclops was great in this series though. Good to see him actually being done justice. I've even come to like Jubilee more thanks to X-Men '97

The roster is a reference to Days of Future Past. Also, the Reed Richards you see is in reference to the Fantastic Four animated 90's series, in which Black Panther and Iron Man also appear.
Magneto's file looked like the old trading cards from the 90s with the powers measures with dots.
Bastian totally gave me Harvey Dent (Two Face) vibes from The Dark Knight with the way he looked toward the end.

I grew up in the 90s and I just started watching this show in the mornings with while eating breakfast. It took me back to when I was a kid watching Saturday morning cartoons eating cereal in my room right before I went out to play with my friends.
I never thought we would get this show back after all these years. We’re so lucky to have a childhood favorite as adults and it’s still as awesome as we remember it.

Charlie, I couldn't find it in the comments if someone recognized it, but Bastion says to Storm "Did you just try to appeal to my humanity?" That's a reference to the first Avengers movie. Loki says to Tony Stark "Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity." Figured since no one else seemed to see it I'd point it out. Top quality video as always!

Blazed through all seasons of XMen. 97 was just like the Jim Lee Art story of the 90s! Pure joy! Gambit was definitely the boss! I didn’t think there was anything between Eric and rogue but I do think he was showing her how not to drain other people like you mentioned. I am really excited to see how they continue the adaptations for the next three seasons.

What a phenomenal season of Marvel Television! This season, finale was absolutely incredible, and it really had it all! Great writing, jaw-dropping animation, masterful music, amazing voice acting performances, brilliant pacing, respect for the original source material/90s animated series, and lots of fun/really cool Cameos and Easter Eggs for the fans to enjoy! I'm so excited/hyped for Season 2 and will be counting down the days! This finale and the whole season get a 100/10 from me!

The layout of this page is almost a carbon copy of the back side of the ‘93 trading card series! There was a a photo like that, bar graph power levels, and a character description below for every character. I spent so much time reading each one as a kid and still have the cards if you need a photo.

Can we all go back to the *Remember It* episode (i.e. The Gambit episode on Genosha) and look at the still frame of Rogue holding Gambit after his heroic feat? That was the exact shot from *The Death of Superman* comic book panel when Lois held Clark after he defeated Doomsday.

The Rouge and Bastian fight scene on Apocalypse base reminds me of Rogue vs. Gladiator on the moon. Plus, I'm glad the show is utilising Cyclops' combat ability, as in the comics and the 90s X-men. All you mostly see is Cyclops just using his optic blasts, and that's it.
I’ve been busy with a lot of different stuff lately and my god, I finally sat down to watch the final episode last night and WOW!! Heck of a episode! I’ve really enjoyed this new season of X-men!! I can’t wait for season 2!!
