As a dad of a stillborn, Scott’s rant was unhinged but totally necessary. Scott is being handled better here than ever in the comics and I felt seen in that moment. You feel the world’s against you and your future.
Powerful stuff bro, thanks for speaking your perspective.
I'm so sorry.
I am sorry for your loss.
I have not had a stillborn, but my wife and I have suffered far too many miscarriages. I instantly recognized Scott’s anger. The well-intentioned and probing questions on a matter that is far too painful to share or Discuss. I know that anger. I can only imagine how much worse it would be in his case or yours.
Condolences 💐
I hear you man. My wife and I are dealing with fertility issues, we've done ivf unsuccessfully several times and my first thought when the reporter asked Scott that question with that hurt still fresh was....oh nooo. Lol totally necessary response. Trying too hold all that in as the leader of the xmen when all this other stuff in your personal life is going on... the dam can only hold so long. He let it out and I felt that.
Didn't love watching my childhood hero die, but god damn, there's no better way for him to go out. Gambit got absolutely shafted emotionally in this episode, but holy hell he really went out like a hero.
Yeah, they got him to display such a degree of heorism, from displaying great emotional maturity regarding his relationship with rogue, to going out as the most heoric x men of all. They nailed the heroic death part.
"Absolutely shafted"
Ouch. 😅

So far, X-Men 97 is peak Marvel. I grew up reading a ton of the classic X-Men comics my dad had from his childhood, and this is show is capturing the feeling of those comics PERFECTLY.
Yeah it’s damn good
Honestly outside of spider verse and avengers emh, it’s definitely one of my favorite pieces of content to come out of marvel!
@InevitableOption-ic2vxA Spectacular Spider-Man in revival is what I’m really hoping for even if TAS is more likely since it connects to this version of the X-Men.
People keep saying superhero shows and movies are dead no, bad superhero movies and shows are dead. X-Men 97 takes license with some of the events for brevity but maintains the essence. In doing so we get some of the best work to come out of Marvel in over a decade. If they made movies like this there would be no complaints.
Same experience with my dad and his comics.
“Back-flips, civil rights and soap opera” The perfect description for this show.😂
Wolverine being a bro with the Jean thing was great.
I honestly hope that moment of self-awareness let’s him pivot and do something other than pine too.
I have REALLY enjoyed having Logan step back out of the spotlight so far but I do want to see him do some other things outside he usual love triangle business. With the seeming rise of Rightclops and a possible influx of young mutant refugees, maybe we’ll see a spin on Schism?
@jasongarrett768 that's what I'm thinking. With cyclops, magento and storm out of commission and cyc potentially going crazy, logan will have to step up
@@jasongarrett768At this point nothing’s off the table. Anything’s possible.
@@jasongarrett768 the mid-season teaser just dropped & Wolverine & Nightcrawler look like they'll be teaming up (and from the looks of it, it's going to be pretty intense)

I think we’re gonna see Cyclops in the black uniform with the red x this season. After that outburst and the death of all those mutants, he’s gonna be more militant than ever
That will be dark lol
Agreed, think you might see Schism when Cyc finds out about Jean and wolverine
I knew at the first episode where Cyclops was portrayed as this awesome leader that is would not last. The Cyclops I know is this angry and bitter guy who needs therapy lol.
@@Sayajin3321 He's angry and bitter with clear mental problems, but he can force through them to be a leader, and a great one at that.

It's rare nowadays that media doesn't lean on the drama and shame of masculine outbursts
De Mayo really knew what he was doing when running the show and it shows
I was floored with how much class he displayed in that scene. Gambit is the MVP of this episode.
They better have a DAMN good reason for firing DeMayo
@@bellslimes It's just rumors, but from what I've heard, it's kind of a contract breach that got him let go. DeMayo has an Onlyfans, but he posted exclusively non-hardcore and softcore stuff on it, mostly gym selfies for his audience. The day he was announced to be fired, some people pointed out that DeMayo posted something on his Onlyfans the day before, and it was more hardcore and explicitly sexual than his usual stuffs. I'm guessing one of Disney's contractual mandates is that any of their public figures should not do any explicit work while under Disney, and well DeMayo kinda breached that part of the contract, it seems.
I was happily satisfied that he wasn't just pushed around and finally got something huge to do. I think they addressed the drama as tastefully as they could compared to the comics.
@@runbaa9285ugh, I hope they find a way to get him back, or this will be like Gunn and the delay of Guardians 3, and him finally going to DC. DeMayo is an exceptional talent.

Rogue's "I can't feel you." instantly reminded me of Wanda's "I can't feel you." to Vision in WandaVision...
Super duper intentional
@@somethingwarm yup! The lines gave me chills and tears.
The delivery for that line is...my heart will not recover from it.
Same here. Took me instantly to WandaVision, which is probably my favourite MCU thing ever.
Way better for line for Rogue with Gambit it fits way better with her powers than Wanda and vision.
To be fair, Scott "psychically cheating" on Jean with Madelyne paints him in a much more positive light than him doing the same thing in the comics with Emma.
Though I like how Emma is still there in this episode knowingly smirking after it happens. (as a possible Easter egg to the original comics scene)
this also makes a lot more sense than scott just abandoning madelyne the way he does in the comics.
@@The_Mad_Titan_007 Yeah, the benefit of writing based on the story, while having the benefit of hindsight, is that you get to see the whole picture, and rethink about what did and didn t work.
Agreed though context is important. Scott in that era had just recently been possessed by Apocalypse and went through some crazy stuff (even for the X-men) that he specifically couldn’t go to Jean about. And Jean wasn’t exactly rejecting skeevy Wolverine either. Emma being Emma, or rather not Gen X but Hellfire White Queen swooped in to play her games. Unfortunately for her she actually really fell for Scott.
@@rubaiyat300 so normal X-Men Soap Opera shenanigans.
@@lvo9197 which when done right gives us better adaptations than the original story itself. I like that tbh.
My takeaway from it is that they basically combined all of the mutant genocides into one. It has elements of the mutant massacre, E is for extinction, and fall of the house of X. I'm very interested to see where they go, and with his little rant in the middle of the episode, I wouldn't be surprised if we see radicalized Cyclops.
I feel like radical cyclops is a great way for the show to go
...sounds about right! isn't it tragic that mutants have that many genocides to even combine at all.. and you didn't even mention Days of Futures Past..!
Yeah, Scott was already struggling with his leadership and his place in the world. Now that the genocide in Genosha has followed hot on the heels of his spiraling personal life and his meltdown in front of the TV cameras, he could definitely reach the point of "f**k it. No more mutant deaths, and I don't care what I have to look like in order to make that happen."
And where are "earths mightiest heroes" for each one? Lol@@rasun316
I love how X-Men '97 set this up perfectly by having Madelyn (Jean at the time) have her nightmare vision of this event in Episode 1 BEFORE their fight with Master Mold in that episode. That lulled everyone into a sense of security. "Oh, Jean saw Master Mold coming back but Storm zapped them all. Disaster averted!"
Eh... Maddy wasn't having a vision of *that* Master Mold, mon ami.
That Master Mold was also destroyed by a Gambit's power
R.I.P Gambit 😔
An already sad moment with Rogue holding a dead Remy, but it hits even more now knowing that Lenore Zann (Rogue's VA) was dealing with the loss of her niece around the time of recording the episode

Beautiful line.
That ending was insane! One of the best of episodes of Marvel Television ever released! X-Men 97 might be my favorite thing Marvel Studios has ever done. Period.
Measured not nurtured I believe
I loved this take of Nightcrawler
They packed all these around half an hour and not once does the pace feel rushed or dragged, just show how efficient and effective the storytelling is here, the reason the last chaotic 10 minutes worked cuz there’s a build up of every characters’ internal struggles from the beginning that complement the emotional complexity in a perfect way
I would argue the pacing for the first few episodes was a bit rushed but this episode had perfect pacing.
@@kbg12ila Fully agree.
@@kbg12ilaagreed
Most of the episode had zero fighting. Just the different characters' emotional struggles and messy baggage. And in keeping with the best X-Men stories, I completely didn't notice the lack of an action scene until all hell broke loose.
This is where I'm not sure - See, I'm not that familiar with the X-Men and the comics and while I was able to "keep up" with what was happening, it did feel like nothing has time to breathe, like having Madelyn Prior come back as a long time acquaintance even though they introduced her just a couple episodes prior or all the Morlocks and Mr Sinister stuff that I learned how it happened in the comics and here, if you don't already know them, you don't even realize they are a community of their own, marginalized by both humans and mutants alike.
Positive: Pixie, Glob and Nightcrawler were introduced and survived
Negative: I need to see a therapist after the episode
Night crawler felt a bit off for me, too MCU and less mature and not as Christian

@@seriousnesstv7902 Meanwhile I'm seeing Nightcrawler from the perspective of his portrayal in the comics, where his Christianity is a part of his personality, but not the only thing he ever talks about. He's a lot more playful in the comics, and I like that living in Genosha has brought that part of his personality out. In Germany he was dour and serious because he was being actively hunted and mobbed on a regular basis. Now he's had time away from that in a place that welcomes and embraces his differences.
This portrayal in the newest episode shows more of the fun side of Nightcrawler in an environment that would have a positive influence on him. This episode was phenomenal! THE MCU NEEDS TO HIRE THESE WRITERS FOR THE LIVE-ACTION X-MEN IN THE MCU!
Everything from the animation, storytelling, music and even the soap opera drama and twists were outstanding. Rogue and Gambit's relationship was so interesting and poetic with excellent writing, almost Shakespearean. That ending alone had my mouth on the floor. @@loslakers530sounds like a crazy oversimplification if that’s the subject of the reasoning for his being fired. They almost certainly asked him to tidy up his online image and he likely refused despite many opportunities.
@fewntug3760 there's zero evidence of that being the issue. There were stories of him being difficult from fellow writers on The Witcher. Not, like, difficult with executives, but with peers.

This is episode was a deep cut apparently at one point Grant Morrison was going to kill off Gambit just like he was killed here on the show, but Chris Claremont was doing Extreme X-Men at the time and got wind and requested to use Gambit in his book to save the character and thus Gambit wasn't in Morrison's book to be killed.
Gambit was Claremont’s creation. It makes sense.
DeMayo said on Twitter how this episode was meant to reflect the feeling and cultural impact 9/11 had on our younger generations. That we weren't as safe as we previously believed. I think that's what makes the tonal shift in this story so effective. You really start to think that everything is going to be OK for Mutants, and then BAM, utter tragedy. There is SO much this one single story did right to justify why this entire revival needed to happen in the first place. I am completely blown away by the quality and the care we're seeing for what is likely the best X-Men adaptation ever made.
There were some many one liners. 🔥episode
“I cant feel you”😢
"Gambit sees your bet... AND RAISES IT!!!" ... when your character is about to die doing something incredibly brave and worthy of legend... give them the perfect lead up. When I heard him say that, I knew he was going to die. He was all in. The guy everyone thought was just a pair of two's actually had a royal flush.
After this episode I have some theories about the future of the series:
1) In the final episodes, it will be revealed that the big villain of this season, the one who send the Sentinel to destroy Genosha, is Bastion (who appear in one of Forge''s photos).
2) There will be a change in the team's line up, with the X-men recruting new members (my pitch: Nightcrawler, Forge, Colossus and Banshee's daughter)
3) After this tragedy and whatever will happen in the end of the season, Cyclops will become more extremist and willing to make questionable actions to protect mutantkind.
4) To make the X-men more pro-active, Scott will secretly create the X-Force, to act as black-ops group and do the shady stuff the X-men cannot do. Eventually the group's existence could be find out and this could lead to an adaptation of "schism", with the X-men now splitting up in two groups, one joins Scott and the X-force while the other will be lead by Storm (instead of Wolverine) and try to still live up to Xavier teachings.
2/4 isn't bad. Nice job.
I really hope they're setting up a team split like they did in the comics where Logan can be "the better man" like Charles, and Scott can be "the man that does what's necessary" like Magneto.
Remember when cats like Tyrone Magnus was making videos calling the show woke, based on one trailer, complaining that they're "taking away" Rogues cartoon cakes? I'm so happy that this show is so dope that there's no way the worst Marvel hater can hate and gain real traction. I hope the MCU moves forward with this vibe.

I think the major difference between this and the old series is that this is being treated more like an anime. They fight scenes are SO GOOD and the angles and camera shots are so dynamic and have momentum. It's beautiful.
It has a more cinematic feel to it.
Anime isn't really the best comparison here

This whole episode is a masterpiece and there is a tone of incredible scenes but when I saw Magneto use a frickin' train as a whip I literally said "woooow" aloud. The way they animated it, the feel of the weight of all the metal, the pain in Magneto expression, the rage, it was just so visually incredible. I never expected this show to hit us so heavily. I thought it's just gonna be an omage for the original series, but the writers, the animators, the director, voice actors. You can just tell how passionate everybody is about this project and the x-men franchise. It's really heartwarming to see. And heartbreaking to watch. But in a good way.
To me this episode started like "oh ok the typical hellfire club stuff behind the scene, magneto showing his true colors yadayada" but the backflip that made with the third act, im still trying to process it.
Even though the attack on Genosha was already in motion, I think they are going to play that Cyclops unhinged interview out of context and basically justify the attack
I got the impression the interview was live.
I personally don't think Magneto is dead. I think that Leech just disabled Magneto's powers so the Sentinel wouldn't be able to detect his mutant signature and therefore perceive him as being dead as a result of it's attack..
In the comics, the readers thought Magneto died in the attack on Genosha for several years. I think you're right in how Leech played a part in the scene.
@@BCWasbroughMagneto seeing flashbacks to the Holocaust and going berserk on the Sentinel AND saying in german “Do not be afraid” to Leech right before the impact of the blast was the most insane shit I’ve seen from anything X-Men related for years, and I’m so proud to be a Marvel fan during this show’s revival. This episode was DEVASTATING because Gambit is my favorite...
But the beginning bit was SO COOL!!! Seeing Pixie in this animated format was PHENOMENAL!!! (i really love Pixie)
I really appreciate how this episode fixed A LOT of the issues that plaqued Cyclops as a character in the comics and basically character assassinated him for about 20+ years.
Instead of being a self-centered adulterer with Emma they instead made it still a mistake, but an understandable one. Both him and Jean have proper arguments, and this time Scott doesn't get used basically as a strawman who gets beaten up by everyone because the writers had it out for him. It also helped that we got a scene with Jean and Logan where she is shown to also not be perfect and getting caught by the moment. Bonuspoints for Logan not using the moment and acting like an adult here.
Personally I think they might be trying to combine both Extinction with Avengers VS. X-Men, considering Scotts behavior in the interview really made it look like he is going down Magnetos more villainous path now after this tragedy (Plus the X-men are lacking now a "Magneto" so to speak, so the position would be open, too). It would explain why there are so many rumors about the avengers being slated to show up are circulating around, there might be some truth to them.
Yeah, framing him around the interview with the reporter where we could see that he was really starting to lose his grip on what he had believed did a HUGE job of making his position understandable. They really make the characters feel complex, which I super appreciate in a show with such a massive roster.
Honestly I don't even entirely feel like Cyclops was "wrong" here. This is an incredibly complicated situation full of weird, fraught emotions. He can't be certain of who he was married to and when, for how long. He can't be certain how Jean really feels about him now she's back, and how much of her feelings are real and how much are memories of the past. What he can be certain of is that Madelyn was the mother of his child, and they shared that joy and that trauma together. Of course he's going to want to keep seeing and interacting with her. Especially since they were talking about their son, that's something they can both relate to each other about. And I think having that scene come after his blow up in the interview makes it pretty clear that he reached out to her for support in that, so it's not just "an affair," it's far more emotional than that.
And speaking of which, the interview. He definitely spoke from anger there, but at the same time a lot of what he said was true. He's kind of right to feel galled at having to go on TV and "prove" mutants should be allowed to live freely and equally with humans, after everything the X-men have done and are still doing. He put it in the harshest terms, and especially the end was particularly bitter, but I don't think the point he made was wrong.
@velemamba260 affairs can be pretty emotional.

It takes skill to write rug pulls like those and act out the emotional beats in the perfect timing to grab your heart. They did it.
It's such a fucking treat to have back to back episodes for both of these series for at least a couple more weeks in a row.
Also, ironically this week's episode of Bad Batch wasn't at all heavy, emotionally. Just a action-heavy prison break episode while Omega learns more about the operation on Tantis.

I think what most viewers should do in cases like this is to make your own watching block like what Fox Kids/Disney Afternoon/Kids WB used to do when they were around: Make it an event for yourselves where right after you finish one show go straight to the next one. That way it’s less of a question of, “Which do I watch?” And more of “Which do I watch first?”

X-Men 97 is peak Marvel. I can't wait to see where they go with this series. At the end with Rogue holding Gambit, it reminded me of Louis holding Superman in the Death of Superman comics.
I am assuming that Cable’s warning, and the brief clip of him fighting Apocalypse in the intro sequence, means that four of the characters we saw die will be revived as Horsemen. Maybe give Callisto her super weird tentacle-arms secondary mutation for that. And Evil Gambit would be the exact right level of X-Men drama for Rogue, especially considering her choice this episode.

I want the consequences of this episode to stick until at least the end of the season. Then maybe there's a tiny glimmer of hope for a time travel or resurrection redo.
Can’t tell you how much I enjoy your videos.. and how much I’ve been enjoying your X-men 97 videos! Please keep doing them!
Cable’s first appearance in the show was on Genosha during the Slave Arc so it’s quite possible he travelled from there to this episode
Loved this episode. So far the show is exceeding my expectations. I was not expecting episode 5 to go this hard, but I am here for it. Thanks for putting this video out so quickly, I needed to have this conversation.
This felt like Hardhome.
The ending just comes from nowhere and happened.
After considering this thoroughly, I can see that. It started out one way and then becomes gut wrenching and epic at the end. And, since Hardhome is my all time favorite episode, I agree.
@@number1chiefROKKA Hardhome was the episode that I would say is the best of that series.
And if it ended before the dogs started barking, it would have still been the best episode in season 5.
But man, when those dogs start losing it, does shit pick up fast.
It’s so nice to see all fans back together on this, like it’s been a while across the board we all agreed that something was amazing, feels great!
The show started strong was on the verge if getting boring then Gambit decided to raise the stakes and take over the whole damn card game!!!!!!
Classic line from the original show "The name is Gambit... REMEMBER IT!!!" would always give me chills back then and now it came full circle. 😭😭
The X-men movies sometimes did these things, where they would mention a very big event that happened in the timeline, but never actually show it (like Xavier > KILLING < the entirety of the X-Men team in 'Logan'). But this episode actually portrayed this VISCERAL and world-changing event, we actually get to witness something that would probably just be namedroped as 'The Genosha Incident' in those movies. Random and weird take, but whatever 😅.
I did enjoy this episode but they will probably revert it all using time travelling anyway, wish they had the balls to make this a permanent event in the series.
I think the big sentinel design is the one used in Whedon's Astonishing X-Men
When I saw the watcher in the sky I got really worried
I was so convinced that Travis Willingham voiced Shaw I was legitimately shocked when I found out it wasn't him
Holy shit I would have never guessed. I heard the voice and just knew it was him so I never bothered to look.
He confirmed it was him on Twitter
@@wolfhowl_ Can you link this. I don't see it on his page
The great Jay Edidin (who has been co-hosting the Jay And Miles Xplain The X-Men podcast for the last decade) once stated that the best X-men stories are about the X-Men knowing that they are doomed, they are absolutely f**ked, but continuing to fight anyway.
In this episode of X-Men 97, Gambit finally became a truly great X-Man.
90s kid here as well as an X-Men supremacist (as far as comic heroes go), and came in ready to be disappointed for '97, but I have been blown away. This episode and also ep2 in particular are incredible. Some pretty cool deep cuts with Gambit saving the Morlocks and kind of a Quiet Council in Genosha. Kind of a shame to put Exodus in the episode and have him dance but not fight - I wonder if they drew some up, but had to cut it for time
i think we're definitely going to see gambit come back via time travel unraveling or something.
Having read the New X-Men comics, seeing that unholy Sentinel animated was unreal. I watched the episode twice because I was in shock.
7:38 I’m sorry Nando but as an actual Scottish person Moria’s accent is HORRIFIC
It's kinda pirate-y ain't it?
@@my2randomcentsit’s like they put a Glaswegian woman on a pirate ship yeah
I’m sorry lbstudio13, but as and actual non-scottish person, the actual scottish accent is (normally) HORRIFIC.
The Irish one was not much better 💔💔💔
I couldn’t tell the Scottish one was meant to be Scottish for ages 😂
I doubt Gambit and Magneto will stay dead, but seeing the drama, character work, and sudden brutality shows how well this show is written and keeping you coming back every week. Everyone is great to see in epic fights and interpersonal drama.
I can’t help but genuinely be both stunned and thankful. The show probed me wrong and remember it is xmen 97s finest hour thus far. The genoshan genocide and every second of the writing in the entire episode was stellar, the visuals superb, and the best action sequence in the show to date. The status quo shift is excellent, and everything set up from here makes me so excited for the turning point of the show.
I think to your point about multiple massacres, they're going to take advantage of 30+ years of content and merge a few together. This one was Age of Extinction, but it was also bits of Fall of the Mutants going through this season. They know what the knocks against the extended format of the comic are, they can avoid them.
The Emma Frost beats work so well. They get to have her comment on Jean and Maddy doing her Scott affair while at the same time shoving several years of heroism leading up to the X-Men into her limited screentime set up.
Earlier they even have Gambit joke about which one of his mutant powers he's not allowed to use during basketball (a callback to a comic scene where he uses superhuman agility to sink a basketball over his shoulder into a broken hoop). So we'll probably see secondary mutations incoming.
And also tons of Phoenix stuff leading into it.
This show is peak MARVEL as a whole! Comics or MCU whatever. Doing the Xmen justice!!
I was waiting for this!
Seeing these classic arcs and stories be adapted for an animated medium just makes so much more sense it’s almost impossible to match animations unlimited possibilities with live action. Give us animated movies marvel!
What I'd like to see is Mutant Messiah, the introduction of Kid Omega, Cyclops possibly turning evil, maybe even a comic accurate House of M with Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch showing up, an X-Men '97 like show based around The Avengers with more comic book accurate stories like this starting with Pietro and Wanda joining the team.
I felt like I have watched several movies worth of content in just this one episode and yet it somehow is just one episode and the pacing never felt off. Astonishing.
Just finished it and needed somewhere to decompress. Good lord I didn't know they were going to go this hard this fast
This episode Honestly makes me hope the people or at the very least the writers (that didn't get fired or leave the show) of the show work on the MCU X-Men films or at the very least give advice on what to do with the MCU X-Men.
I'm not sure. No matter what you think of beau de mayo the man sounds like a Real fan who wants to stay true to the original material. It was the same on the witcher and one of the reasons he left. So if he's out of marvel i'm not sure the quality of the writing will stay the same
Cyclops isn't wrong for being angry at people who gave them Sentinals, Mr. Sinister. He is not wrong for being angry that mutant will not be left alone regardless of what they do. He is not unhinged. He is angry and right to be so.
Nando, keep making these X-Men 97 vids!
watched it last night and i KNEW youd make a video i felt it in my bones
I’m so happy to see the reception to the show. We need to support this show. This is the best thing I’ve seen in a long time from marvel.
The avengers seem to survive and live but the X-men fight to the death!
Maybe Scott finally snapping on humanity will lead to him leading in the leader the way Magneto not Charles would want.
😤DAM good vid! You just earned a sub big dawg 💪
It either Bastion who was in one of Forge’s pics on his wall hidden or maybe they go Cassandra Nova
I’m positive Cyclops is going to become a villain after these events. He’s lost his son, the mother of his son, who is the only person that understands what he’s going through. With the absence of Charles’s and with Magneto’s death, i think Cyclops may feel there is no peace with the humans.
also it will tie to Cyclops's first words in this series when Sunspot asked him "good guy or bad guy?" "definitely a good guy"
I think that with all the characters that died they either go with Time Travel or Season 2 just jumps to Krakoa and the resurrection protocols
Rogue and Magneto were a couple before and during Schism. Not a romance or the ages, but more like they both needed the other to get through their stuff. I think this episode captured that aspect well.
But aside from that, I will always remember the the name Gambit.
Let’s all forget Schism, was not good.
@@li-limandragon9287 I can't really disagree. I'm getting through Regenisis now which also, isn't terribly good. My hope is Avengers Vs Xmen is.
I was crying before I realized it after Eric said they would not wonder how many could have been saved. He proved he was the Holocaust survivor Charles knew him to be deep down.
X-Men 97 is the best thing Marvel/Disney has done in forever, maybe it is the best thing they have ever done. It is unreal how good it is. The animation, voice acting, writing, it is transcendent. Visionary. I want so much more. Seeing Nightcrawler again almost made me cry. The characters are so well done. The nostalgia is off the charts. Cal Dodd back as Wolverine. There is just so much, so so much, to love. More!!!!!
Magneto and Rogue's relationship draws heavily from the Age of Apocalypse comic run
I knew there was going to be something when I saw the watcher in the sky
“A promise was made…Save as many as you can. We shall not live our days wondering if we could’ve saved more!” is one of Magneto’s most powerful lines
This show has also given us the most efficient way to solve a love triangle: kill two of them. Gambit and Rogue definitely weren’t two of my favorite X-men and I definitely wasn’t sobbing uncontrollably by the end.
Technically the most efficient way would be to just kill one since it solves the issue of the triangle with less work then having to kill 2. But yeah I'm totally with you on definitely not being absolutely devastated by what happened to the 2 X-Men who most certainly were not my favorites my whole life.
Was waiting to hear your thoughts on this episode
I gotta say, when I heard Sebastian Shaw speak, I immediately thought he was voiced by Travis Willingham (Since the cadence sounds SO similar), But finding out it was Todd Haberkorn, I was legit shocked. Maybe they pitched his voice down, or just a deeper register, you don't hear it as often. Also, Emma and Moira share the same voice actor, so that's neat.
I know it'd make the character impossible to take seriously, but having Shaw voiced by Matt Berry from What We Do in the Shadows would have been hilarious.
