I hope they combine them into one since they're both tiny omnibuses. Their titles are also major spoilers for new fans, so simply making a "Brubaker Cap vol. 2" would limit the story arc being spoiled.

What a fantastic series, to me this may be the best Captain America run of all time. That said, it would have never come to fruition without this great Lee/Kirby/Steranko/Romita, Englehart/Buscema, Stern/Byrne, Demattis/Zeck, and Gruenwald runs. Very happy to finally have an affordable copy of this to buy.

And as other have said I really hope they continue the reprints as I'm missing the second volume (which I will not name here).
This is just proof of what you have always said. Eventually everything gets a reprint. This was my first ever Omni that I bought. I couldn't get the rest of the volumes and never thought these would ever get a reprint but here we are with the first volume.
Another omni to look forward to. Love Steve Epting's art. Hopefully they reprint the rest of Brubaker's run in omni format. I like the thinner paper Marvel uses in comparison to what they have used and to what DC uses. Take care and peace.
This and the JMS Thor Omnis were my first buys. Can't remember which was the exact one. Glad to know it's the same contents. Just need those vol.2 & 3 now.
My top 3 cap runs in no order are Classic Stan, Jack, and Steranko run. All those tales of suspense and cap's solo run Englehart's and Buscema's Masterpiece run Brubaker's and Epting's phenomenal run 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Have not read Mark Waid's run yet and I've only read the bloodstone hunt epic basically from Gruenwald lol but would like to read his run I'm kinda intrigued. Honorable mention is some of the Colan and Romita stuff as well.
My most anticipated reprint next year! My vol 5 omni will not be lonely anymore lol. Pre-ordered this on TOW, hoping I get it and hoping for reprints of vol2-4 too lol. Thank you for the vid!

Do you think there's any chance Marvel will combine the next two volumes into one if they reprint? Both are really small omnibuses and also both titles have spoilers for unaware readers. The DOCA omni is even smaller than the complete collection, if I remember correctly. I think a combined second omnibus would be about 1000 pages, so not too big.
"Do you think this letter on my head stands for France?" I've never read captain america, but that line turned me into a cap fan so ill be getting this day one.
If we're talking about the best runs on Cap, I've gotta throw Marc DeMatteis in there, but this, Brubaker's run, for mine, has to be the best. So glad to finally be getting a copy of this Omnibus.🙏🙏🙏
Ed Who-baker? I picked up most of this run (in trade paperback) because it was the CrossGen-veterans-art-team run of Captain America. Steve Epting, Mike Perkins, Frank D'Armata...those were names I knew, and those were names that sold the book to me. Alas, even for these art teams, I don't think I'll be upgrading my old books.
You forgot to mention or I didn't notice that 1st printing with this cover had glued binding. Maybe it just me but I see that this book with sewn binding look like practically the same ("eye looks almost identical" )as book with glue binding that was made 13 years ago, and this older book has thicker paper. If I have to chose I will take the older one.
there was three printings (the first two with glued binding) and the third printing had a black faux-leather hardback instead of blue and it was sewn binding. I sadly had to sell my set, so I'm glad this is coming back.

When I first started collecting omnis, I bought a set of Brubaker Cap and the first volume came in the blue/navy cover with glue binding. It was only later that I found a excellent copy of the third printing that was black with sewn binding. So it could be possible that the second printing was navy blue with sewn binding.
So I really do not collect omnis, only have one, I mainly collect OHCs, TPBs, I do have some absolutes, but definitely going to get this book and hopefully the rest of the run if and when they come out.
I've never read Ed Brubaker's Captain America (or really any Cap other than the some of silver age Kirby stuff), so this is a must for me. Between Cap, X-Men, and now Duck comics (yep, I've slowly started buying them), 2021 is going to be a busy year. Thanks, Omar! XD
I might be the only one who wishes there was a 80 years of Cap logo on this book. Like the previous printing has the Eisner award logo. Anywho. This is a day 1 Preorder. Lol. My holy trinity of heroes is Batman, Superman and Cap and there is no way I’m missing out on this this time around. Nope. Nope. Nope. I think this is one of those few times where the Standard Cover art is Superior and that’s what I’m going with. Can’t wait to have it because I’ve passed some opportunities to get the original printing since you announced the reprint.
Ooh love this run, I have all of the tpbs of Brubaker’s run and seriously considering an upgrade to omnibus. Some of my books have been affected by damp ever so slightly which gives me even more of an incentive to upgrade haha.
Wolverine is great stuff, I just read that Gehenna Stone arc. Wolverine Vol 2 Issues 11-16. I need to read the Wolverine Goes to Hell and Old Man Logan stuff. Especially the Lemire work.

DOPE! This is the omnibus I am most excited about at the moment! I LOVE the colors and vide, as well as Brubaker's story... The colors definitely have an "Ultimates" vibe to it that I like. Glad I didn't get the Winter Soldier TPB, I was wondering if I would have double-dipped or not. It is pre-ordered. :)

That line is not in this run. It’s in The Ultimates.

Normally, bringing back a long dead character would have turned people off but Brubaker did it masterfully.

I don't know if its the angle Uncanny Omar but the original printing looks slightly taller.

Kind of hard to describe. Not as thin as Infinity or Conan by Busiek. But its as thick as all the recent Marvel omnis printed from RR Donnely.

Its definitely because of the art on the hardcover. Honestly if you buy the new one, you could sell the old one off and make most of the money back. Let the hobby fund itself whenever possible!
