I just read the entire Brubaker’s Cap run digitally; everything that was collected in all the omnibuses. It was amazing. Definitely one of the best things I have read. Smart but accesible. The perfect balance of great stories and character development. Anyone that love superhero comics should read this. Great review Omar!
This is the first omni i got in the series of cap run. Many years ago for $15 or $20 from LCS. Not sure why so cheap but i didnt read it til i got #1-3 omnis in a bundle in 2021. Just need the 5th and im good. Fun run
I recently picked up Captain America Lives, and I plan on picking up this and Return of the Winter Soldier, but volume 1 and Death are out of print. Again. With how closely 3, 4, and 5 are being reprinted, would it be worth waiting on a potential third print for 1 and 2, or just hunt them down now?
I'm in the same boat. New collector so just getting a taste for where to start and the artwork in this run hooked me so ordered *'Lives* as well as preordering *'Trial* for next week with *Winter Soldier* on my list for next month but now left wondering when I'll get those two initial books to give me the whole run 😐 hopefully a reprint is due and the spines/jackets don't change too much
Finally got mine today, only to open it and find out that the cover is not attached to the pages! Not even hanging by a thread, just completely detached! So bummed!
Sorry to bother you. My copy was like this, cover completely detached from the pages. May I ask where exactly you read about the horror stories? I wanted to compare notes with other people who got the same bad copy, to better decide if I should bother attempting a re-purchase.
Nobody cares about a troll who says "i'll pass" on a quality omnibus and excellent era of Captain America! Ed Brubaker Cap run is one of the all-time best marvel comic runs in modern comics. Still the best Captain America era and one of my favorite modern comic titles from the 2000s to 2010s. I'm sure some of the things you like and want to read will be discarded and given a pass by other posters.
@@EmpireStateUtopian_Dystopia ok for one thing dude calm down another thing is I’m not a CA fan never cared for the character also Brubaker only has a hand full I runs I like for instance Sleeper might be my all time fav from him another one is Gotham Central and Incognito but stuff CA or Criminal which I found boring as heck I don’t care for.
