My 35 year old daughter has been using RetinA and sunscreen daily for at least 5 years (our Fav EltaMD) BTW: after loving EltaMD UV elements forever, I just tried their new UV Restore tinted SPF 40, I LOVE it! It is much more hydrating with extra humectants such as squalane AND has extra anti aging actives such as THD vit C, vit e, Ginger Root extract...it’s really beautiful. ❤️

Hi Angie! I am about to turn 35 and everything you said about your lack of skincare at my age was 100% true for me too until a few months ago. I spent the summer baking in the sun and in September I looked in the mirror and thought “oh my gosh! I’m not young anymore!” I have always been go go go and “didn’t have time” to wash my face. Angie🌺 I loved you talked about prevention. I also love you suggested mineral sunscreen. I have recommended healthier sunscreens with Zinc oxide and secondly titanium dioxide to our clients for years. Chemical are simply not needed. I would also add try not to wear foundation or concealer ( I do feel it’s the number one cause of acne and aging besides the sun) but just use your iron oxide tinted sunscreens. I’m almost 55 and have no wrinkles( just an example of never wearing foundation) I would also suggest that anyone watching, be mindful of the Vitamin C and acids they use. Read your labels because not all are equal. An example would be that many vitamin C oxidize quickly. I love you mentioned the thick skin( I call it the callous layer) that we create that ages us tremendously. Keeping that down and removing the callous keeps the skin healthy beautiful. Yes! Could have saved my girls a few scalp sunburns if we had that 20 years ago! Just be careful to have them hold their breath while you apply it, titanium dioxide isn't good to breathe in.

Hello Angie ♥️ I thank you for all the tips you’ve been giving us 50+. I would like to ask you an update video on how to remove your makeup. After using for more than a year now the double cleansing - 1st Take the Day off by Clinic and after the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser - with best results, I occasionally keep noticing some breakouts. My dermatologist just thrown away the Clinic cleanser and the mechanical brush device that was very gentle. And why? Because she said: no oils on your skin, no mechanical cleaning brushes, nothing of that. To take away your makeup, you must use two products: a mild cleansing milk for your face and neck that you apply with your washed hands and a byphasic product for your eye’s waterproof makeup - and any cheap brand will do: Nivea, Maybeline, L’Oreal, as long it is mild. That will not seat on top of your skin and clogg your pores, you remove the cleansing milk with a cotton pad and another clean cotton pad for your eyes. Then you clean with water and the CeraVe cleanser, and dry with a white towel just for your face. And that’s all, no more scrubbing with brushes which make the cells irritated, nothing. If you have enlarged pores, redness and sun damage, those are rules for life: no oil based products, no scrubs! I have been doing that and my skin is much better! Thank you very much 💛

I’m in my mid 30s now, and I wish that I had started using sunscreen daily when I was much younger. I only started testing and using it regularly in my late 20s, and by that point I had already started noticing visible signs of aging, hyperpigmentation, and fine lines. I wish I could get my mom to use your tips/tricks. And definitely wish she taught me about skincare/makeup when I was growing up.

I literally started using retinA the very same night that I saw your video about your routine almost 4 years ago! It was 5 in the evening and I ran out the house and went to my nearby walk-in clinic and got a prescription. The doctor was like " you have a little hyperpigmentation but u don't need retinA" I convinced him and I have used it ever since. I'm in my late thirties and I don't wear foundation, just a little concealer under my eyes. Thank you, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us💜

Turning 30 in December, and I started with 0.1% Adapalene back in 2018 as an introduction to vitamin A. I'm now at 0.1% Tretinoin. Serious game changer! Ever since starting a retinoid, my acne has been way more under control and my skin texture has been a lot better. I used a prescribed vitamin A mix back in my teens for my cystic acne, but I couldn't afford it once I lost coverage after uni graduation. Amazing to see more affordable options 10+ years later!
Are you saying that the adapalene was a game-changer for anti-aging for acne? Just curious because I just started it last week for anti-aging, even though that’s not what it’s known for.
@@Seashelldub sorry I mean it was a game changer to add vitamin A in my routine in general! I'll update my comment to clarify. I've also used 0.3% Adapalene, 0.04% Tret and now I'm at 0.1% Tret. I noticed quite a difference between 0.3% Adapalene and 0.04% Tret, definitely a more powerful molecule like my derm described!

I love the Cerave night cream that comes in a little tub. It's more hydrating than the normal Cerave PM. It really soothes my skin when I have a eczema flare up on my face.
Yes!! I love that one too but I use it for my delicate under eye area after a moisturizer. I wake up with smooth and soft under eyes now, not fine lines.
Hi Angie! I wanted to thank you for all of the great info. I have tried quite a few of your product suggestions and always look forward to your latest video. I am 8 years older than you are and did the same in my younger days. We used to lay out in the sun with no sunscreen, in fact we used baby oil and iodine, liquid butter, and other crazy concoctions. I just wanted to tell you that I think your skin looks gorgeous. Honestly, I thought you were AT LEAST 10 to 15 years younger than you are. I replayed the video just to make sure I hadn't heard you incorrectly. LOL Thank you for trying out all of these lotions and creams and sunscreens so that we don't have to do it ourselves and waste money. Take care and stay safe! ❤

Thank you for the great advice! I'm a 27 year-old girl and I never used any skincare products before. I have oily skin, quite noticeable wrinkles on my forehead, large pores, almost no pimples or scars, but an overall dullness on the face. 3 months ago I introduced a skincare routine that includes: AM - CeraVe cleanser, 2% hyaluronic acid, 10% niacinamide serum, 23% vitamin c suspension + oil-free moisturizer, 50 spf sunscreen. PM - CeraVe cleanser, 10% niacinamide serum, 2% retinol ester OR peptide serum (buffet), CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. As I am still oily and shiny, I sometimes use 2% salicylic acid when I do not use vitamin c or retinol and I use once a week AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. I don't have any breakouts, but also do not see any noticeable change. I really enjoy taking care of my skin but my face sometimes feels even greasier than before. Am I doing something wrong?

I’ve taken care of my skin pretty well since my 20’s and for most of my life I’ve looked younger than I am. However, when I turned 39 a few months ago and I really started to notice a loss of firmness on my neck and my fine lines are more pronounced now :( I use Curology and they’ve bumped me up to a tretinoin a few months ago but I haven’t put it into rotation yet (I’ve been afraid of the irritation) and I’ve gotten really lazy with my skincare due to quarantine. Honestly I was starting to feel like, well, my skin is starting to age and I just have to accept it. I am so glad I came across your channel. Your videos are so inspiring, thorough and helpful (and your skin is just gorgeous!) you’ve really given me hope that it’s not too late to help my skin. Hello Angie ♥️ I thank you for all the tips you’ve been giving us 50+. I would like to ask you an update video on how to remove your makeup. After using for more than a year now the double cleansing - 1st Take the Day off by Clinic and after the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser - with best results, I occasionally keep noticing some breakouts. My dermatologist just thrown away the Clinic cleanser and the mechanical brush device that was very gentle. And why? Because she said: no oils on your skin, no mechanical cleaning brushes, nothing of that. To take away your makeup, you must use two products: a mild cleansing milk for your face and neck that you apply with your washed hands and a byphasic product for your eye’s waterproof makeup - and any cheap brand will do: Nivea, Maybeline, L’Oreal, as long it is mild. That will not seat on top of your skin and clogg your pores, you remove the cleansing milk with a cotton pad and another clean cotton pad for your eyes. Then you clean with water and the CeraVe cleanser, and dry with a white towel just for your face. And that’s all, no more scrubbing with brushes which make the cells irritated, nothing. If you have enlarged pores, redness and sun damage, those are rules for life: no oil based products, no scrubs! I have been doing that and my skin is much better! Thank you very much 💛

I’m in my mid 30s now, and I wish that I had started using sunscreen daily when I was much younger. I only started testing and using it regularly in my late 20s, and by that point I had already started noticing visible signs of aging, hyperpigmentation, and fine lines. I literally started using retinA the very same night that I saw your video about your routine almost 4 years ago! It was 5 in the evening and I ran out the house and went to my nearby walk-in clinic and got a prescription. The doctor was like " you have a little hyperpigmentation but u don't need retinA" I convinced him and I have used it ever since. I'm in my late thirties and I don't wear foundation, just a little concealer under my eyes. Thank you, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us💜

Turning 30 in December, and I started with 0.1% Adapalene back in 2018 as an introduction to vitamin A. I'm now at 0.1% Tretinoin. Serious game changer! Ever since starting a retinoid, my acne has been way more under control and my skin texture has been a lot better. I used a prescribed vitamin A mix back in my teens for my cystic acne, but I couldn't afford it once I lost coverage after uni graduation. Amazing to see more affordable options 10+ years later!
Are you saying that the adapalene was a game-changer for anti-aging for acne? Just curious because I just started it last week for anti-aging, even though that’s not what it’s known for.
@@Seashelldub sorry I mean it was a game changer to add vitamin A in my routine in general! I'll update my comment to clarify. I've also used 0.3% Adapalene, 0.04% Tret and now I'm at 0.1% Tret. I noticed quite a difference between 0.3% Adapalene and 0.04% Tret, definitely a more powerful molecule like my derm described!

I love the Cerave night cream that comes in a little tub. It's more hydrating than the normal Cerave PM. It really soothes my skin when I have a eczema flare up on my face.
Yes!! I love that one too but I use it for my delicate under eye area after a moisturizer. I wake up with smooth and soft under eyes now, not fine lines.
I like that one too. Angie used to link it along with the night lotion but doesn’t anymore. That was my first tried recommendation from her.

Hi Angie! I wanted to thank you for all of the great info. I have tried quite a few of your product suggestions and always look forward to your latest video. I am 8 years older than you are and did the same in my younger days. We used to lay out in the sun with no sunscreen, in fact we used baby oil and iodine, liquid butter, and other crazy concoctions. I just wanted to tell you that I think your skin looks gorgeous. Honestly, I thought you were AT LEAST 10 to 15 years younger than you are. I replayed the video just to make sure I hadn't heard you incorrectly. LOL

I'm a 27 year-old girl and I never used any skincare products before. I have oily skin, quite noticeable wrinkles on my forehead, large pores, almost no pimples or scars, but an overall dullness on the face. 3 months ago I introduced a skincare routine that includes:
AM - CeraVe cleanser, 2% hyaluronic acid, 10% niacinamide serum, 23% vitamin c suspension + oil-free moisturizer, 50 spf sunscreen.
PM - CeraVe cleanser, 10% niacinamide serum, 2% retinol ester OR peptide serum (buffet), CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion.
As I am still oily and shiny, I sometimes use 2% salicylic acid when I do not use vitamin c or retinol and I use once a week AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution.
I don't have any breakouts, but also do not see any noticeable change. I really enjoy taking care of my skin but my face sometimes feels even greasier than before.
Am I doing something wrong?

I’ve taken care of my skin pretty well since my 20’s and for most of my life I’ve looked younger than I am. However, when I turned 39 a few months ago and I really started to notice a loss of firmness on my neck and my fine lines are more pronounced now :( I use Curology and they’ve bumped me up to a tretinoin a few months ago but I haven’t put it into rotation yet (I’ve been afraid of the irritation) and I’ve gotten really lazy with my skincare due to quarantine. Honestly I was starting to feel like, well, my skin is starting to age and I just have to accept it. I am so glad I came across your channel. Your videos are so inspiring, thorough and helpful (and your skin is just gorgeous!) you’ve really given me hope that it’s not too late to help my skin. This was the motivation I needed to get back in the game and take better care of myself 😊
