Thank you so much for this video, since I am newbie at crocheting and self-taught, this video has helped me understand where I was making my errors. This is by far one of the best videos I have seen. You went at the most perfect pace and you did not confuse everyone with too much talking during the video. Thanks again!!!
Thank you! Just started and already wanting to give up but coming across your video gives me hope! I got some kits but I think I'm going to stop those and work on blankets. The technique is relaxing but I get confused and frustrated! Thank you for going slow and explaining. This video is perfect! I can't wait to try this!
Thank you so much for making this video. I learned to crochet years ago, but it's been too long and I remember nothing, so this video with you showing everything very slowly and thoroughly was exactly what I needed!
Just a question. When you first started on the first row, you went into the second stitch then on the next row you went into the first stitch. How come? Thanks
Hi Mike, so the sc in the second st is because if you place it in the first st , it'll come off as it is attached to your hook, so that's why it is placed in the second st, for the next row and every row onwards, to keep the work straight , you need to place the sc in the first st as ch1. Hope i answered clearly 🙂
Hello I just wanted to ask, if we are doing 50 chains, do we add an additional 2? So then it would be 52 chains and we use the extra 2 would be used to do a half double stitch? Thanks again!
That really depends on how big you are making your blanket. I am making a pink blanket that is 5 ft wide and 6 ft long. I think I will have used maybe 10 skeins of Bernat baby blanket fuzzy yarn. I'm also using a size K crochet hook.
Fabulous video. I'm doing something wrong & I don't know what. I did original 50 & ended up with 48. Tried second row and ended up with 48 + 2 extra loops. Do I single crochet them also?
When you ch 50 and go to the next row, there are 2 ch that you are not working, the one on you loop and the one next to it, so you work you first single crochet on the third ch counting from the one on your hook. So check the count when you start you first row, you should have 49 . Let me know🙂
@@CrochicaNBF ok thank you! I was asking because I am making an adult blanket with chunky yarn and I wasn’t sure how long it would take me! But anyway thank you 🤩💕
Hello nice video. Am doing something similar but each time i do a row of single crochet it is increasing the blanket. I need to make it 35cm width but it is becoming more.. Can u help me please
So, I thought for a single crochet, you were to yarn over, go into both loops and then yarn over again 😅 is that an actual stitch? Or is my whole project messed up now lol
That's a messed double crochet stitch, single crochet is insert the hook into both loops ( stitch), pull the yarn through the stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops ( the ones on your hook)

@@CrochicaNBF ok thanks
I was wondering this as well! Thanks! 🎉❤
Some of us don’t mean like to change colours can we just do it like that in plain colour
Very nice!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Some of us don’t like to change colours can we just do you look in plain colour
Of course you can, changing color is a choice 😊

No need it's only single crochet.
@@CrochicaNBF Ok thank you!
What do you do with the “tails” of each color yarn when you are done? Cut them? Stitch them into the blanket?
I stitch them inside the blanket usually :)
@@CrochicaNBF thank you!
Did you mean to say slipknot in the beginning or is that a magic ring?
Very beautiful and very nice really help full video Big Thanks for sharing
Thx for watching 😊
That's pretty and thank you.
Glad you like it!
Beautiful
I will try this
If I’m using more fluffy yarn, for an adult, how many skeins do you think it’ll take? And also how many chains?

How many rows does this blanket consist of?
30 rows :)

A 50 stitch chain looks small. If I want to turn it to an adult blanket how many stitches do I need
Then you might need to chain 150 if you are using the same yarn 😊
I have a question, how long does it take you to crochet a blanket ?
It depends on what blanket ( baby, toddler, adult) and how thick the yarn is and how large the hook is 😊, it can be from one week to one month 😀
@@CrochicaNBF ok thank you! I was asking because I am making an adult blanket with chunky yarn and I wasn’t sure how long it would take me! But anyway thank you 🤩💕
How many inches big is this blanket?
Plz check the written pattern link in the description box.

can you send me a photo on instagram @crochicanbf?
I did this but oversized king... is it normal to need 18- 20 300g balls of blanket yarn ...fairly tight tension 😬
Yes for a bed size blanket you might need from 1300 g up to 2000g, it takes a lot of yarn :)
How many chains did it take to make that size?
Is this the uk sc or the uk sc
