Today we talk about the best suspension upgrade for Jeep Cherokee XJs, this is by far the best system I've seen that allows to convert the factory leaf spring suspension to a true 4 link - long arm system for better articulation and ride quality. I have parts from a ton of different manufacturers on my XJ, and I can say that Iron Rock's stuff is some of my favorite. Their engineering beats out most other manufacturers and their prices are reasonable.

How do you know the gear ratio i have 4.0 aw4 98 xj i want 33si have 4 37s good for mock up or spares 25 each

Few months ago I was ready to jump into a same set of waggy axles, i turn that option off instead I had the oportunity to get a hp dana 44 and ford 9 right now Im in the proces of put it in under my MJ with 4.56 gears, warn Locking hub, front G2 chromoly axle shafts, open diferrentials on a stock suspension

What series were the Pro Comps you're getting rid of? The lip and offset are perfect
Not sure what series they are I bought them from a local guy, they are steelies with the same design as of American racing but much wider and with a bigger offset.

Got rid of my xj started bringing my 79 jeep j10 truck back to life love that i can do a body lift on this moster if i want lol

@@VehicleTribe my xj had a bad day with owner before and was a money pit went traded for a 4x4 mazda truck after that head cracked and the head was more than an engine and that truck had no power sold it and brought my 79 back to life mind you it hadnt ran since i was 16 ,im 27 now 3 days of working on my 79 new starter new sparkplugs and new wire little wire work under the hood and she fired right up lol never letting this old monster go
I just bought my xj 2-3 weeks ago. Idk the loft it has on it or anything really. Has 35” tires and it rides nice. What mods/upgrades should I do to it. Where should I start?
If it is on 35s and it rides well I wouldn’t do much to it. If you have a decent long arm or even a short arm you’ll be able to do most trails without problem. Maybe adding a locker and gears in the future. But make sure you test it offroad first see what it can and can’t do.
VehicleTribe I’ll find a trail around here in Ohio when I put the 4x4 back on. I’ll prob find a spot and make a walk around on the Jeep also so people can point out what I should do and what not. Thank you (:

Keep the flat flares!!! They look so good.
I’m going to keep them for now but they won’t work well with the new set up. I’m looking into other options with similar design but more clearance.

Where can I find a nice 97-01 Cherokee that doesn’t have 200,000 mile on it for a decent price. These things have gotten so expensive. If you know a place could you let me know.
I always try to search local deals, from private owners, usually old people take care of them very well. If not I would try some dealerships or car auction sites.
Thanks might be an opportunity in a couple of years.

Man you are going to love it, super beefy and great quality. I’ll let you know if I decide to sell the fender flares, I think I’m going to keep them for now until I find a good set that I like. 👍🏻

Just an fyi those wheels won't bolt on to that Dana 44
Even with adaptors they won't fit
Why is that?
The hubs on a Dana 44 are much larger than a jk or lack there of. The hole in the center of a jk (5x5) wheel won't fit on a 5x5.5
How much are you going to sell it to me for?
This project is getting more and more expensive. You replaced most of your jeep.
Its a project and is a Jeep, it never ends lol
