Those DIY bumpers are dope, I have the rear version, have been running it for a while now but about to get after putting a tire carrier on it this weekend. Can't believe that 4400 price tag, what a flex
You haven't put out a disappointing video yet. This was awesome, just like the rest. I see a lot of comments saying this is their favorite channel and I can totally see why. Thank you
Awesome vid man. I check to see if you’ve uploaded quite often and I’m always stoked to watch when you do. Love the fact that it’s out of your own garage and you’re doing everything on a budget. Super relatable content
I know you guys didnt have this problem but aLittle word of advice for people on those bumper is tack them then pre fit before final weld because not all the times they fit 100% and some minor adjustments need to be made, overall looks good
I would build one likebthis but not to climb rocks but for sure off road. Sick looks good now all u need are some headers md exhaust for better flow and more up and a full tune up and fluids flushed.
Nice brother, I have a 1997 Jeep I've been holding on to for 8 yrs now!! Just haven't had the funds, thanks for the detail and work and pricing so people would have a better understanding, Godbless 🙏💖
Thanks for sharing I just bought a very clean 99 almost no rust for $1500. Gonna start working on it now but fist will be fixing the non existing brakes. Definitely going to consider the rough country lift as well.
Thanks for making this video, I just got a 87 inline 6 with the 5 speed manual transmission for 1,500 as a project, and now I pretty much understand what to do next 😀, by the way where is that place where you guys went off roading?
Pointing at shit and saying what you want to do is totally different than doing it! Anyone that has worked on one of these knows the scenario is more like you breaking out the welder 2 minutes in!
Unbelievable. These videos where all these kids cut the hell out of everything on a family station wagon just kills me. Ruined forever and prone to even more rust. Great job boys.Cut the cowl out where 4 smaller holes would do. Cut the fenders off instead of ordering proper sized wheels for the lift kit. If you needed to go 6, you should have spent the money on that instead of ruining the resale value of a legend. Not one person had to do all this to the old Chiefs and Wagoneers just to get through some mud.😒
I get a wobble starting at 65 and idk what its from... Did the rear suspension have not done a thing to the front dont know a thing about doing that either
To get those stuck lug nuts off......put some type of sheet metal sleeve over the top of them. I used one of those like you use for chain saw spark plugs, but obviously bigger. Heat the end of the nut with a propane or butane torch turned as low as possible. The sleeve saves the paint finish on the rim. Idiot at the tire shop ruined two lug nuts and if I’d have not intervened he would have ruined the rim. I had them off in a couple minutes. Anti-seize is your friend
On my jeep I cut the front fenders out like that but I took the left fender flare and mounted on the right side and the right fender flare and mounted it on the left and I mount them higher so that it still looks good it still has the flare and it actually doesn't even look like it's not stock yet clears 33's or 35's,doesn't throw mud and rocks all over the side of the rig (Ever had a rock come flying out of the tread and hit the back of your forearm when getting off of the trail?... It doesn't tickle one bit!!) And the front fenders don't look hacked.
Given the XJs popularity, Jeep owes it to their fans to do an updated version. What they have put out in the last ten years that has similar styling, lacks the offroad pedigree.
Watching buddy try to figure out the double wrench method is me everytime
He should’ve just kept it rolling, that’s good entertainment
😉 You never forget your 1st time... When I saw them using a jack stand as a hammer on an Indiana Jeep,... I knew they were pros. 🍻 boys. I have a '00.
I got 1999 Jeep Cherokee sport four door who wants to buy
Haha sounds like someone watches Berm Peak Express. Love the content Mike keep it up!
Those DIY bumpers are dope, I have the rear version, have been running it for a while now but about to get after putting a tire carrier on it this weekend. Can't believe that 4400 price tag, what a flex
California prices… I remember being able to get these things all day for $1500
I will say mine welded like shit when i got it, it popped and burned like a flux core the whole time. still gotta grind it down and get it on mine lol
You haven't put out a disappointing video yet. This was awesome, just like the rest. I see a lot of comments saying this is their favorite channel and I can totally see why. Thank you
Ya this is one of my fav channels
I subbed! But I have no idea who works on a vehicle especially lifting a Jeep wearing flip flops 🩴! Must be a generational thing!
Quickly becoming one of my favorite channels, awsome content man🍻
i subbed for yota content.... and u give me heep?!?!?! lol
loved this...budget builds are the best ones on youtube. and to see you take it out immediately, thats what matters. enjoy it.
That’s the way to do it!
I have been as budget freindly as they come with my build, without sacrificing anything. 🙂
Awesome vid man. I check to see if you’ve uploaded quite often and I’m always stoked to watch when you do. Love the fact that it’s out of your own garage and you’re doing everything on a budget. Super relatable content
For sure! Thanks for watching!
pretty good price for the build and thats not a ruined fender thats called self clearancing
Love your videos 😊It’s amazing all the knowledge you have
Mike would be a good friend to have just for the knowledge and beer
I know you guys didnt have this problem but aLittle word of advice for people on those bumper is tack them then pre fit before final weld because not all the times they fit 100% and some minor adjustments need to be made, overall looks good
Not a bad idea people!
I would build one likebthis but not to climb rocks but for sure off road. Sick looks good now all u need are some headers md exhaust for better flow and more up and a full tune up and fluids flushed.
Since this video we’ve done a lot to the Jeep! Maybe worth a second video
Your intro sounds like you watch to many Berm Peak videos
I do for sure
That looks like so much fun seeing it in action, man you guys are a trip
It’s fun!!
Your referring to the video length right😂

watching you guys inspired me to go work on my XJ that's been on jack stands for three months now lol
Get that thing going !
@@mikes4x4garage yessir! Just dropped the front axle yesterday, now I'm working on the transmission
My jeep has definitely been on jack stands that long or longer a time or two. 😀
I'm a simple man. Mikes4x4 uploads. I watch.
Bruh every time I watch one of your videos you make me wanna go straight outside and start building truck up 😭😂
The blue paint for the rock sliders was a bold move.
Bold indeed!
Great video, I just found the channel and am finding it informative. I have a 2000 XJ which is a work in process.
Awesome! I’ve had 5 XJs so far, they can become a sickness.
Yeaaahhhhhhh new video !!!!!!!!!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘
Mikes garage is the best garage
Would never spend 4400 on an xj bought mine stock 1999 xj for 1100
Pointing at shit and saying what you want to do is totally different than doing it! Anyone that has worked on one of these knows the scenario is more like you breaking out the welder 2 minutes in!
just bought my own xj 2000 pretty clean for only 2k. my question is how would i fix the rusting problem
Unbelievable. These videos where all these kids cut the hell out of everything on a family station wagon just kills me. Ruined forever and prone to even more rust. Great video. I am really looking into getting a cherokee. What is the general miles range you're looking for on a used one? whats the cap? thanks!
Rodriguez Barbara Wilson Steven Harris Donald
No sway bar links? Genuinely curious if they’re required or not and clearly they’re not lol
How about frame stiffeners?
Or drain and fill diffs or oil change , antifreeze drain and fill just to start
What’s the front bumper? Looking to do a somewhat hidden winch and that should work for me
This is the most XJ video ever, little rusty but mint Jeep, let’s cut it up and run it into rocks 😂😂 love it
The only way to xj
The cast iron.. *BONK*
😂
Shows you don’t need a lot to enjoy off-roading, my Tacoma regular cab with just 2in lift and 33s is so capable the short wheel base really helps it
Absolutely! Just gotta get out there 👍🏻👍🏻
Saludos viejon pura tacoma
I get a wobble starting at 65 and idk what its from... Did the rear suspension have not done a thing to the front dont know a thing about doing that either
I have about $6k in upgrades now with just a few more goodies. 🙂
Take good care of that XJ!
They’re great!
Good video!
Thank you!
Gotta love seeing some coasties getting after it. Good job guys.
Marvin vittori building Jeep’s now
Sounds like someones been watching Seth..
Hi. What's the exact color of your Cherokee?
Wilson Nancy White Maria Allen Betty
I’m just here for Garrett’s legs… damn son.
Hi Do you need some great free lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road. we're looking for sponsorship!
You guys are young no experimental welding glasses
Way to destroy a mint Jeep buddy, you took something special and turned it into just another hacked up rock crawler. Siiiiiiick 👍
Thanks! Check out the other Cherokee I hacked up in my other videos!
Mike, It was nice to see you at slickrock and awesome work. love the cast iron pan hammer....lol
It was nice to see you and Mike out there! And the cast iron is the perfect hammer 😂
ffs $4400 in my area will get you a completely rusted out cherokee. they would be trying to charge $12000 for that
Luckily we don’t have the rust issue here in California
How was the steering performance without the damper/steering stabilizer?
It’s great! As long as you have hood front end parts, nothing worn out. The stabilizer really just covers up bad parts imo
To get those stuck lug nuts off......put some type of sheet metal sleeve over the top of them. I used one of those like you use for chain saw spark plugs, but obviously bigger. Tried that. Didn’t work !
Remember kids, any tool is the right tool.
I have myself a '95 xj and i am pretty much doing the exact same setup and was wondering, whats the size on the rims and tires?
I bet 15 or 16s
The wheels are 15x8 and the tires are 33x12.5/15
Love the page man. Props to you guys doing all the work yourself. Keep it going!
Hey thank you!
tengo una xj 96 de pero quiero levantarla un poco solo que no les entendi el video saludos desde mexico
The frying pan killed me 😂
Allen Carol Clark Frank Thomas Eric
$4400 seems like a clean cali priced Jeep, not a rusty midwest price. Looks lie a fun project none the less.
It was a fun project!
The cast iron skillet hammer seems to work better than the jack stand hammer imo some high quality tools
60% of the time it works every time
Very satisfying to watch you upgrade the XJ Cherokee into something trail-worthy
Happy viewing from Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks for watching!
@@mikes4x4garage thank you for the show 👏🏻
Great video. What is the company that sold those bumpers?
It’s a JCRoffroad design, but this is just a rip off from Amazon.
So you said slickrock trail is in the Sierras I live in Sparks Nevada how far is it from me I just got a 98 Cherokee
Not sure,, but it’s in the Lake alpine area. Probably 2-3 hours
Great Work, informative video, keeping it real. Thanks from Jersey, 98 XJ Limited 102K miles 3rd owner stock today
Hmmm berm peak opening line I see
Harris Linda Jones Joseph Davis Daniel
That frying pan funny as shit
Slick rock trail in the sierras huh? You in the central valley of california? That sounds like a place we have right near the Sequoia national park
Bay Area! Slick rock is by Arnold CA
The drill = grind and paint what a welder ain’t !
What wheels did you go with on this build bro?
Ripped that intro right outta Seth's videos
The one dude did all the work while you blabbered 😂
Y’all need to add some heat to them bolts. Less breaking and drilling of bolts. Ask me how I know.
Oh yeah. We hit them with Map gas. But an oxy acetylene rig would be awesome
Great vid guys, i'm working on a ZJ project. Your XJ came out great, just what one needs for off roading.
My afternoon beer videos .. what a treat
🍺 cheers buddy

Rough Country lift ride like Crap sorry to say.. smh..
You don’t have to apologize
Military,what branch?🇺🇲
where did you bought the front bumper? Thanks!
Amazon 👍🏻
Hey, are you in jail? Haven't seen or heard from you. I miss the content.
😂

yo what the heck where are the tacoma videos?
Great video mike! Keep them up🤟
Looks good ! I need jeep friends just got stationed in MA , where you guys at ?
North Cali!
Great build guys!! Well done! She looks fantastic! I need to get me one!!🤘
I like this a lot
Put two tennis balls inside the springs for bump stops works awesome
Yeah that works too!
I got a 97 5 speed all stock in need of work. No rust, 225k. Needs some love, in hoping to sell it but i ha e no idea what it worth
paint matching your jeep parts to your jack stands is an interesting idea 😆
lol wild color in my opinion as well

Link for the front bumper
Must be fun to drive at 60mph on a twisty road...
Drives like any lifted Jeep!
Send the link to those wheels please
What roof rack is that??
Quiero que la mía tenga esa transformación ... dónde lo consigo?
