    Good show Dan! Tommy Thayer was also in a good band in around 94 called Shake the Faith and released the album "America the Violent" They then changed the name to No.9 . They recorded an album but I believe was never released.

    Hey Dan! Gene Simmons produced the self titled album of Doro in 1990. He also wrote a couple of songs, and Tommy Thayer played guitar on that album.
    I'm just listening to that Skull album. Not bad. 🤘

    • @offthecharts2272
      @offthecharts2272  3 месяца назад

      Yeah, Gene did produce a bunch of bands in the late 80s and early 90s under his MoneyBag Simmons records... fun fact: he produced the Silent Rage album "Don't touch me there" and you can see the singer/bass player in the S/T Doro song "Unholy Love" video... And yeah, Skull isn't bad at all! I remember seeing it at the store and thinking "when did this come out? and no Promotion AT ALL... Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Very informative video! Didn't know about Harlow and Skull.
    I've been looking for that Treasure album for decades, but I've never seen it. I don't think it was ever released in Europe.
    Since you brought up Bob Kulick, Ill give a shout out to Blackthorne's album Afterlife from 1993. Great album with Graham Bonnet, Chuck Wright, Frankie Banali and Jimmy Waldo alongside Bob. The first Balance album is also worth listening to.

      I only found out about Harlow about a year or two ago... I definitely remember the album cover back then... Skull I've had forever... LOL
      My friend is a HUGE Graham Bonnet fan (and I mean huge - he will cohost an episode with me about him in the near future) and has mentionned to me about Blackthorne... I will need to borrow this from him! :)
      Thanks for watching and leaving your comments! :)

    I have an Ace Frehley album " Anomaly " which from memory is pretty good. And of course Vinnie Vincent,
    all part of the Kiss family.
    That weird " Chelsea ' album actually sounds to me like something I might like. Nice collection of Kiss related
    albums Dan. I wonder if there is more solo albums in the core Kiss members Future?.

    • @offthecharts2272
      @offthecharts2272  3 месяца назад +1

      You see, I find "Anomaly" good... not great (imo)... he's got much better albums than that!
      Yeah, Chelsea is very difficult to find... and not cheap either... I also wonder if there would be more solo stuff from the core KISS members... Ace Frehley just released "10,000 Volts" this year... so he is still active! Rumor is Vinnie Vincent is supposed to be releasing something soon (but I will believe it when I actually see it) Would be nice to get some other solo records from other members too... Thanks again for watching and glad you feel better!

    I know you can't buy it, but have you heard the Molimo acetates with Ace Frehley before Kiss (circa 1971)?

      Supposedly they were demos from a group called Molimo with about 6 members, give or take. Sounds like Jefferson Airplane. No idea if they're real or the product of a troll trying to start an urban myth. Saw a group photo w/ what looked like Ace, but even if pic is rea, music could be anything.

    Dan, I highly recommend a band called *DRIVE - "Characters in time"* from 1988 with Eric Singer playing drums on the album. Always really liked that one, an unknown gem of awesome underrated US Metal from back in time. They were on a small label called Rampage and unfortunately never got a European release.
    ruclips.net/video/WMIOvJbIAv8/видео.html
    Also Eric Singer did play drums on the *AVANTASIA album "The scarecrow"* 2008 and some other Avantasia stuff - on several songs from "The Wicked Symphony" and "Angel of Babylon"; since Tobias Sammet's Avantasia is a worldwide touring project I am sure you have heard of them?

    • @BlackBelgianDog
      @BlackBelgianDog 3 месяца назад +1

      Yeah, and Bruce Kulick was also involved in Avantasia. Not played any album whole but few tracks in The Wicked Symphony, Angel of Babylon, The Mystery of Time and Ghostlights. But that's not really a band, more of a project with a lot of guest stars, a bit like stuff Arjen Anthony Lucassen makes.

    • @offthecharts2272
      @offthecharts2272  3 месяца назад

      Hmmmm, i was not aware of this "Drive" album... gonna check it out now! Thanks! It doesnt seem too expensive on Discogs I see... I am aware of the Avantasia stuff... they seem to have lots of guest stars on their albums (I have a song sung by Alice Cooper...) So was Eric part of the "Drive" band? Or just a guest star?

    • @offthecharts2272
      @offthecharts2272  3 месяца назад

      Ya, the "guest star" list for any KISS members is huge... I'm trying to find stuff where they were part of the "band"... I am aware of Avantasia... I don't think Bruce did any studio albums with Grand Funk Railroad when he was with them eh? I may have to investigate this even more as there seems to be some i missed (or did not know they were part of...)
