The final months of '82 were an odd time for Ace and Kiss. Gearing up for a tour he won't be on...going on multiple TV shows in Europe to lip sync Creature songs. Just going thru the motions...Doesn't make sense as Ace loved metal, and harder music. This was right up his alley..
1:44 Lie. Ace was already out of the band. He only did these promotional things cause he was still under contract. Look at Paul and Gene when he is asked if he is leaving the band. His answer says it all. "I'm still here"
In the end Ace and Peter were strong personalities but Gene and Paul always had the power because it was their baby, they directed and had the vision, We are the better off for it because if Ace and Peter were directing things KISS would never have made it and still be around for the last 50 years
Hi Clintbronson5 from KKUM radio this question is for Ace! Being the rock n roller that you are you must have been so happy to be playing on a album that you’ve wanted for sometime
Most Powerful: Gene, Paul, Eric & Bruce I say!! I luv Ace & Pete; fan since '78 (Dbl Platinum) Ace's solo work 👍 & Criss' '93 album.... his best since '78 to be sure 🐾
In late November 2023 it appears to be the literal end of the Gene and Paul 'KISS' touring legacy. Three cancelled shows in-a-row Ottawa, Toronto and Knoxville. With NO rescheduled dates and alleged full refunds being offered at point of purchase. The band's last physical grasp towards the Grail finale at MSG/NYC on Dec.2/23. As a lifelong Toronto fan I'm indifferent and conflicted at this point in Kisstory. This COTN video is fantastic albeit I would have preferred to see it in a LP/CD/DVD multi-set officially released from KISS. Maybe added to the COTN box set with additional AM and FM radio interviews back-in-the-day of '82 and '83.
They are supposed to play here in Indianapolis tomorrow I work for a parking garage very close to the venue they sold a little over 14k wondering if they'll cancel this one?
@@seanstevens4635It's about the preservation of performance energy now. KISS bit-off more than they could chew by adding the final 50 dates all so close together. Probably a wake-up call for Gene and Paul their craft and industry is a young persons game. My money is on the MSG/NYC shows being the sole priority for next weekend.
Not long before this Ace sustained injuries from a car accident, I don’t know if this was the Delorian incident or another.Ticket from this tour were poor making some nights more vacant than others, what I fail to understand is why did they not play New York City?????
So odd knowing what we now know. Ace already was gone. He didn’t play a single note on the album. Basically, Gene and Paul wanted to keep his exit hush so they asked him to lie to everyone and act like he was part of the tour. I am surprised he went along with that. The fans got duped and there was no Ace in tour. I love VV but it still means they duped everyone. They are so full of crap and always have been. Next week it will all be over forever.
I really wish Jean Beauvoir played on Creatures of the night and how the hell did Micheal James Jackson get such a monstrous and Mammoth drum sound on creatures of the night???and what songs did wendy O williams guitarist Micheal Ray play on Creatures of the might????
I have been listening to Kiss since '77. They used to be my favorite group. Being an adult now, I realize it was all a lie. Lie #1 Had us believing Alive I and II were actually live recordings when they actually dubbed in audience noise and did most of the solos in the studio. Lie #2 Studio Record side IV of Alive II had Bob Kulick on guitar except for Rocket Ride and credited Ace for all 4. Lie #3 Had us think that Ace really played of Creatures when he didn't play one note. Lie #5 Had Dick Wagner and Bob Kulick on some of Destroyer, again crediting Ace. Lie#6 Had a stand in for Ace in certain parts of Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park and also had a voice over for Peters' entire dialogue. Lie #7 Kiss singing to backtracks(you all know the story)...I mean there are more but it just disgusts me to keep going. You can hate on this all you want but everything I just wrote is NO lie....
its not going to happen. Bruce Kulick announced that he wasn't invited to the last show. Gene has already said Ace and Peter will not be at the last show either.
I think many people fail to realize that musicians are in fact artist with artistic expression. In fact I would argue the hardest form of art expression. A painter, sculpture or writer, paint, sculps, or writes what they want. Picture the top three artist trying to paint one picture ie a song which is all artist trying to mash something together. As a former Kiss fan who had followed the band for decades, one thing starts to become very clear....Paul and Gene do not want a "band of Kiss" they want employees of Kiss. Meaning the other two come in and are told play this, do this. The "problem" came about when the band was billed as four equal guys. I am no fan Gene and Paul, with Paul having NOTHING nice to say about any former member of Kiss. I believe that all the original "issues" started with control. Paul and Gene formed Kiss. Peter and Ace while original members were not founding members.....after all we all heard the Ace Frehley audition with one orange sneaker shoe....you don't audition for your own band. I think that Peter and Ace got tired of always butting heads with the other two control freaks. Make no bones about it a song and song royalties = money. They eventually got what the wanted because everyone since Peter and Ace has been nothing more than a Kiss employee.
So love ACE..even after Kiss. Followed all solo albums and waiting for new one coming out soon
KISS’ most powerful lineup. Frehley, Carr, Simmons & Stanley. Maximum power KISS.
piss
I disagree
Most powerful is Gene,Paul,Ace,and Peter
Too bad it never existed other than this press conference
Music from the elder.
Real powerful

Yeah but at this point he was very heavy on Drugs and was on a downward spiral. He quit more for his mental health if anything.
This was the first time ever Ace mentioned the purchase of his DeLorean

I love Ace, always been my favorite. But you can see he was hard to handle. He was his own worst enemy.
In the end Ace and Peter were strong personalities but Gene and Paul always had the power because it was their baby, they directed and had the vision, We are the better off for it because if Ace and Peter were directing things KISS would never have made it and still be around for the last 50 years
Glickman and marks were managing KISS at the time 1982!!!!!!
No matter what line up kiss has i still love them im a huge fan of the band KiSS kiSS
Creatures is the best kiss album
ASÍ ES
🤠 uncomfortably entertaining ♠️
That comment sums it up perfectly
I love Ace 🩵🪐🛸
Never seen this before wish they could have kept Ace in the band

😂😂😂😂😂
Why does Genes voice sound like it did in Phantom of the Park?
That's called reverb.
As a young kids i was a member of the Kiss army

Yea Paul got sick with a bad flu , the garden is the only thing that matters at this point, he will be ready.
I'm in Ottawa. Paul was hospitalized.
Too freakin' Kool.
I like the beer in Holland …😂
Could do without the gettyimages and we are one logos taking up screen

From what I understand, there was no interest in the big city markets. Philadelphia didn't get a date either.

watch carrs drums fall apart at the end 😂
Where? I don't see it.
1982. The year KISS became METAL.
For a very short time that's a fact.
Thankyou
What is the story on the Richmond, VA appearance they reference?
I really wish Jean Beauvoir played on Creatures of the night and how the hell did Micheal James Jackson get such a monstrous and Mammoth drum sound on creatures of the night???and what songs did wendy O williams guitarist Micheal Ray play on Creatures of the might????
Elevator shaft. No, really.
He recorded solos for 4 songs but they weren't used on the album

This never was secret knowledge. I knew all this for decades. For a start it helps to read the info on record sleeves.
@@larswesterhausen7262 the record sleeves never credited Dick Wagner, Robben Ford, Bob Kulich etc on the original albums.
What is lie #4?
@@scottlosey4978 The cake is a lie.
What’s up with Paul..he still sick? They canceled Knoxville I think
He had a bad flu, he will be fine.
This was Ace’s final appearance with the band until ‘96 huh?
I think this was October of 1982!!!
Interesting to see this knowing that some time after Ace leaves and then the make-up comes off .
Total scam..Ace wasn't even on that album. Various players. Ace wanted out in 1978.
How can you sit there promoting an album you didn't even play on. Con.
Were there any Creatures concerts with Ace ?
Nope.
what a big lie, shame on you boys, like Ace very much, but what is he doing here? Well showing Vinnie up is much more realistic!
AHHK AHK AHHHK
Jesus why so hostile
Love kiss but the effects show was cringeworthy
He was cut out
Peroid!!
Let's hope Ace and Peter show up on final concert. Still keeping the hope up. I think we all fans want it to happen.
No we all don't speak for yourself
its not going to happen. Bruce Kulick announced that he wasn't invited to the last show. Gene has already said Ace and Peter will not be at the last show either.
you get the opportunity to be a famous guitar player in a famous band and you screw it up what the heck are you thinking

Ace is always too drunk to play
KISS most powerful lineup is the Simmons Stanley Carr and Vincent lineup
Did Gene just call Eric wizard?
