      @@armystayengene3148 instead of clenching them, you can make an L shape with your hands straight and bent at the wrists creating tension. Try for 10 secs and go from there. It will help. • @steveengelmann8518
      @steveengelmann8518 7 месяцев назад +3

      What you are talking about needs you to stretch afterwards into a slightly painful stretch and holding that for the same amount of time you flexed the muscles before. This video is talking about the feeling sensation of relaxation that comes from the body itself.

      @@steveengelmann8518technically whats being described is post isometric relaxation. The extensors of the forearms are the muscle being “stretched” since the flexors are contracting. After the release of the fist which is the isometric action, you’ll feel your arms and hands feel extremely relaxed. This feeling will probably travel up the chain since you’re holding a fist with intention for so long. Ultimately, affecting your nervous system the way the monk/teacher is intending.

    • @steveengelmann8518

      In other words I can go weight lift for 4 minutes and then achieve relaxation. Roger that.
      Let me be more real. Let me go do something, and then stop and go sit down, have a drink, maybe lay down etc. There relaxation. Imagine relaxed being what its called when you arent actively using your muscles. Its basic physics. Not some bhudist wisdom. Get real people. Budha was a man of everyday wisdom. Same as Confucius. If you step in water your feet, shoes etc are now wet. “OMG! Thats amazing! You are so wise! Thats amazing!!!!”.
      You actually mean that you are stupid and they are smart when you are like that…….. If I put my hand in a fire with no protection, I will get burned. Imagine that.

    4 minutes is not just extreme pleasure. 4 minutes is the realization of immortality and the realization that everything is heaven. When you realize that, it's so good, it's infinitely good. It's not just good. It's good to the infinite degree. It's so much goodness that you can't contain it. your body can't hold it. Your entire body shakes and shudders in a cosmic orgasm of bliss. It's perfection. It's total peace. It's absolute love, that's truly 4 minutes.

    Hatha Yoga finds relaxation and flexibility by exercises that relax and tense the body by turns. I got a few class and it really worked very well. Even the name "Ha" and "Tha" means relaxed and forceful. You find both sides you get balanced to the center of both action.

    I remember when I was in rehab after a car accident in 1974 we did it there , however all body. Tension muscles and then relax. Starting at your feet working your way up. Right to mouth and eyes. Squeeze eyelids and then let go.
    They called the progressive muscles relaxation.
